, the master behind some of the most popular superhero films beloved by many, has confirmed major projects in recent news. The director recently confirmed that the third instalment of the 'Wonder Woman' franchise is already in the works.
Other than that, he also dropped subtle hints about plans for a new 'Superman' film.
James Gunn confirms news of 'Wonder Woman 3'
James Gunn officially confirmed that the third 'Wonder Woman' is already in the works! The director confirmed the news during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. He stated that while the process is 'slow-moving', it is still moving.
DC fans have been awaiting news of the new instalment for a while.
Gunn stated during the interview that "We're working on Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman's being written right now."
While recalling the production studio's CEO David Zaslav's statement on the characters of Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Supergirl being the 'anchors of DC', he stated, "I think that's accurate, actually." He also confirmed that the 'Wonder Woman' films are completely separate from the 'Paradise Lost' TV series as well.
"I think that he got that from something I said. I wouldn't say only those four characters, but I would say that those four characters are incredibly important to us. "Right now, I feel great about where two of those characters are, and then we're dealing with the other two," the director added while talking about the main characters of DC.
New 'Superman' film already in the works? Gunn drops hints
During the same interview, Gunn dropped hints about the 'Superman' sequel, citing that the next film will not follow the 'traditional route'.
When asked about the next film, he stated that 'What I'm working on is in some way… I mean, yes, yes, yes, yes. But is it a straight-up Superman sequel? I would not say necessarily.'
Soon after his statement was made public, fans of the DC universe started speculating that the possibility of the Dark Knight making an entry in the sequel may be a possibility. While Superman and Batman tend to keep to themselves when fighting crimes, in the comics there is a separate series titled 'World's Finest' where the two characters often pair up to fight villains that are bigger than themselves.

Kim Kardashian breaks down as she tells Kanye West his 'personality was not like this few years ago' in new documentary
The trailer for In Whose Name?, Kanye West's upcoming documentary, has arrived — and it's as confrontational and intimate as you'd expect. Still from Kanye West's upcoming documentary In Whose Name? Opening with the 48-year-old pacing around a circle of Yeezy sneakers — a scene that appears to be from his 2019 Forbes cover shoot — the rapper announces, 'I'm off my meds for five months now.' What follows is a series of tense and emotional moments, including one where he shuts a door marked with Kim Kardashian's name as she tells him through tears, 'Your personality was not like this a few years ago.' There's also a shot of Kanye and his eldest daughter North, 11, riding in the back of a vehicle before he snaps, 'Never tell me I'm gonna wake up one day and have nothing.' In another exchange, Kim says, 'We can talk about that later, but—' only for Kanye to cut her off: 'It ain't no but!' Directed by Nico Ballesteros, the documentary captures six years of Kanye's life — from his 2020 presidential campaign, including the South Carolina rally where he claimed he and Kim almost aborted their daughter, to his public breakdowns, brand fallouts, and ongoing mental health battles. 'I would rather be dead than be on medication… Either they destroy me or I destroy it. They're killing our ability to think outside of the box,' he says in the teaser. The clip ends with Kanye declaring, 'You know the best thing about being an artist and bipolar? Anything you do and say is an art piece.' 'This began as silent observation and evolved into a profound journey of artistic and personal growth,' reads the film's synopsis. '(Ballesteros) bore witness to brilliance and breakdowns, triumphs and turmoil; but also observed the paranoia and intensity that increasingly shaped Ye's world.' 'For a shy kid, the camera became both a shield and a window, a way to channel my introspection while still engaging with the world,' Nico says. 'Ye has always had someone filming him too, a lens between him and the noise. Maybe that's why we understood each other without saying much,' he added, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. A statement about the project says the title 'examines the evolving nature of idolatry, both in Ye's cultivation of public idolatry and in his pursuit of various idols, from luxury brands and celebrity to faith and family.'

Nagarjuna Says His Coolie Look Was Inspired By Heath Ledger's Joker: ‘Glad He Didn't Put...'
Nagarjuna reveals Coolie director Lokesh Kanagaraj took inspiration from Heath Ledger's Joker in The Dark Knight for his villain look. Lokesh Kanagaraj's much-anticipated Coolie has finally arrived in cinemas, and with it comes a revelation about one of the film's most striking visual elements—Nagarjuna's villainous look. In a candid conversation with co-star Shruti Haasan, the veteran actor revealed that director Lokesh, a self-confessed fan of DC movies, took direct inspiration from Heath Ledger's iconic Joker in The Dark Knight when conceptualising his costume. Talking about the colour scheme, Nagarjuna shared, 'I think Loki had Heath Ledger's Joker in his mind, and he wanted that madness. He probably saw the madness in the colour as well." He explained how the choice of purple and cream felt completely new to him. 'I never wore such colours before. Loki told the dress designers. They got two or three options. He saw and said, 'This is it. This is the one I want.' I also had a jacket. Purple jacket. It was really good. I never wore those colours." Describing the outfit, he laughed, 'It is a very strange dress. I mean, even for me, it's baggy pants." Shruti agreed, adding, 'It's kind of a mix of Heath Ledger and old Joker, as we know from the character." Nagarjuna then quipped, 'I'm glad he didn't put on that smile." For an actor known for playing protagonists with moral authority, taking on a darker role was a significant shift. Nagarjuna revealed that he took several narrations before agreeing to join Coolie. 'The story starts with Simon's character. For the first time, I've recorded the narration and made notes to decide on the character. I never did this earlier." The transformation seemed to impress even the film's superstar lead. Recalling a moment from the shoot, Nagarjuna said, 'After the shot was over, Rajini sir nodded and said 'hmmm' (with a sweet smile)." Now playing in theatres from August 14, Coolie stars Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and Aamir Khan in a cameo. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film blends high-octane action with stylish visuals, and Nagarjuna's Joker-inspired antagonist is shaping up to be one of its most talked-about highlights.
