Sabrina Carpenter brings out Duran Duran at second sold-out BST Hyde Park set
Carpenter dazzled a crowd of 65,000 people with her tongue-in-cheek lyrics, choreography, and glitzy costumes, as she belted through her hit songs.
The Espresso singer was welcomed on stage by fans sporting the likes of cowboy hats, platform boots and glitter – who eagerly waited for the moment to sing along with the pop star.
Opening her set with Busy Woman, Carpenter went through her biggest hits from her most recent Short n' Sweet album including Taste, Bed Chem and Please Please Please.
Midway through the concert, she asked the crowds to howl with her before introducing the 'legendary' pop rock band Duran Duran to the stage, where lead singer, Simon Le Bon, and bass guitarist John Taylor emerged to join Carpenter to sing Hungry Like The Wolf.
She later led the London crowd into a line dance as she sang her most recent hit single Manchild, before taking a moment to thank her fans.
She said: 'I don't really understand how this is possible but you guys sold out two nights, 65,000 people, at Hyde park.
'I believe two years ago I was playing a show here for about 5,000 people and before that I was opening for many different talented artists and I was just like dreaming of this day and this moment and I am just so grateful to everybody that came here, so thank you for spending your evening with us.'
She later 'arrested' The Bear star Ayo Edebiri and singer Clairo, in what has become a trademark introduction to her song Juno with screens showing alarms and the caption, 'You're under arrest for being too hot'.
Throughout the set, she also performed track favourites from her 2022 album, Emails I Can't Send, which included Feather, Because I Liked A Boy and her viral hit Nonsense.
From dancing on a makeshift balcony to serenading a sea of flashing lights, Carpenter closed her sold-out show by serving up her hit song Espresso, complimented with a firework display.
The performance comes after the singer announced she will be releasing a new album called Man's Best Friend later in the summer.
Carpenter gained prominence starring on the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World as a teenager and released her debut album Eyes Wide Open in 2015 on Hollywood Records.
She later signed to Island Records and released her gold-certified fifth studio album, Emails I Can't Send, through them.
Earlier this year, she received the global success award at the 2025 Brit Awards in recognition of her breakthrough year in 2024, in which she became the first woman to simultaneously occupy the top three spots of the UK singles chart with Taste, Please Please Please, and Espresso.

How to fix MasterChef
In retrospect, as has so often been the case with my attempts at Delia's thrice-baked goat's cheese soufflé, the question was not so much when MasterChef was going to collapse, but how. The warning signs were there. Not only in 2001 when Lloyd Grosman, Britain's answer to Paul Newman (in pasta sauce endorsement terms if not acting), flounced off the show because, so far as I understand the dispute, a revamp dictated that contestants all use the same ingredient. But also in 2018, when now disgraced judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode managed to unify the whole of Malaysia in affront. For which feat, whatever their later sins, I salute them. It was episode 13 of series 14 and Malaysian-born contestant Zaleha Olpin presented her beloved childhood favourite chicken rendang recipe, served with a side of nasi lemak, only for Wallace to complain the chicken was not crispy enough and for Torode to call the dish a mistake. Typical Malaysian response? 'As a Malaysian, if I could, I would personally go to the show and rendang their head,' wrote Jin Wee in the Star, a Malaysian newspaper, adding superbly: 'Uncultured swine, doesn't know variety of cuisine and claims to be MasterChef?' As anyone who does know their rendang would tell the judges, its chicken isn't meant to be crispy. A former Malaysian premier complained Wallace had confused his nation's cuisine with KFC. The only winner in the dispute was the English language which gained a new verb, though beyond a slightly sinister aura it's hard to know what 'to rendang' means. That's the problem: everyone's a critic and everybody involved has a very thin skin, and is apt to explode at any moment. Torode made matters worse by tweeting something emollient and ending his message with a cheery 'Namaste'. Didn't he realise that namaste is not a fitting Malaysian farewell, fumed naysayers? Some 9,000 signatures supported a petition calling on him to apologise. Which, unless I've lost my mind and without wanting to make 9,000 enemies, is some loony woke nonsense. And yet the debacle points up how fraught televised cookery is and how it risks becoming a lethal cocktail of chippy keyboard warriors facing off against the kind of unexamined man babies who, insanely, have been given access to the knife drawer. That purported genius chef from The Bear who locked himself in the walk-in fridge to have a nervous breakdown on his restaurant's opening night and Ralph Fiennes poisoning anyone who ever crossed him in The Menu are the leading exemplars of the latter. And those are just kitchen fictions. As we know from Gordon Ramsay, reality TV is apt to be a yet more harrowing chip pan fire of the vanities than its fictional counterparts. But the broader point is this: Britain is a country that, if one made a compilation of its best culinary moments, would definitely begin with King Alfred burning the cakes and might well end with Gregg Wallace telling social media that the only people outraged by his propensity to drop his trousers backstage to present onlookers with his signature dish of sorpresa all porca were middle class women with humanities degrees from Russell Group universities who don't appreciate what, looked at objectively, was just proletarian high jinks – so far as I understand his apology to the complaints of more than 50 women involved on the show. It is a miracle that a nation so infamous for its cuisine has been such a tastemaker for so long. And yet it has: in 2017 the Guinness Book of Records officially recognised MasterChef as the most successful television cookery format. MasterChef is one of this post-industrial nation's most successful export products, filmed in 50 countries and broadcast in 200 territories, with many formats of which the Brazilian variant MasterChef: Para Tudo (MasterChef: Stop Everything) sounds most exciting. MasterChef's origin story takes us back to 1990, when clever producers created it as the spawn of Mastermind if less cerebral, and sibling of Angela Rippon's Masterteam but less collaborative. If only Dame Angela had been recruited as host, none of this nonsense of recent weeks on MasterChef would have happened. There would have been no Wallace ascribing his sexual misconduct to autism, and no Torode preparing a defence for his sacking over alleged racist remarks, to damage the brand. Plus the former newsreader could have high-kicked her way through the longueurs of food preparation, which would have got my vote. Who wants to watch people from Daventry stir gravy on telly eyed by these two, Wallace with his grin as mirthless as de Niro's and Torode, like the Assyrian king in Delacroix's The Death of Sardanapalus, dead eyed and sated from excess of, in his case, competitively cooked cuisine? That's not jeopardy. That's telly tedium. But then I didn't understand the appeal of Friends either. What happens next? Can MasterChef be put together again? That's not how Humpty Dumpty nor soufflés work. True, critic and occasional judge Grace Dent was astutely hired last year to replace Wallace during investigations into his misconduct. With her lovely regional accent and long association with the show, she is the right person to detox the brand. And what of the most recent unbroadcast series? All those contestants denied their moments of prime time fame? It's possible they might have a case to sue for denial of self-publicity and loss of projected future income attendant thereon, though I'm no lawyer. Perhaps only many years hence, like Bob Dylan's the Basement Tapes or those Bruce Springsteen albums now coming to light, will the time be right to release the last series to an expectant public. Dent would need a co-host, ideally one with culinary moves. I recommend communist Moral Maze contributor Ash Sarkar whose recipe for fish finger bhorta was championed by no less a domestic goddess than Nigella Lawson. Neither Dent nor Sarkar, I'll wager, would get caught with their trousers down in the green room or alienate whole countries. And one final change to detoxify MasterChef: the name, with all the unacceptable patriarchal connotations of its prefix, must go even if the format remains the same. My suggestion? Dinner Ladies, with Grace and Ash. You know you'd watch it.

The one-time child star, 39, was seen picking up groceries at Erewhon with his wife Mia Goth before she heads to the UK to film her next movie. Wearing a Detroit Lions T-shirt, shorts, sandals and a mesh ball cap, Shia's hair was closely cropped hair and he sported a bushy mustache. The rare outing comes just weeks after a documentary about him allegedly being violent premiered at Cannes Film Festival and just a couple months before he is set to head to court with an ex-girlfriend. She was seen walking out with a grocery bag in hand and a bottle of green juice while her partner was walking hands-free. Shia and Mia have been in an on-again, off-again relationship since 2012 when they first met on the set of the movie Nymphomaniac: Vol. II. They got married in 2016 but briefly separated two years later before reconciling and welcoming their daughter Isabel in 2022. Disney star Skai Jackson's baby daddy is 'arrested AGAIN' after her shocking abuse claims
Former Disney Channel star Skai Jackson's baby daddy has been arrested again just weeks after she made shocking abuse claims against him. Deondre Burgin — who shares a newborn child with Jackson — was apprehended at a Kentucky gas station on July 14 after cops discovered he had an active out-of-state warrant, according to TMZ. Burgin was cleaning his vehicle at the gas station when a police officer drove by and reportedly scanned his license plate, which a spokesperson for the Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney's Office explained is common practice in that county. Burgin's scanned plate revealed that he had 'an active warrant out of Hamilton County, Ohio ' and he was then arrested. has reached out to Jackson's representatives for comment. The Ohio arrest warrant was related to a March 6 incident where Burgin was pulled over in Cincinnati and given a ticket for improper display of a license plate and failing to reinstate his driver's license, the outlet reports. He was scheduled to appear in court on May 5 but he never showed, according to the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office. Two days later, a warrant for Burgin's arrest was issued. It's unclear if Burgin has remained behind bars since his July 14 arrest or if he was released on bond. Burgin's latest lockup comes three months after he was arrested in April over the same outstanding warrant. Similarly to the July 14th arrest, Burgin was also apprehended at a Kentucky gas station after a 'police officer recognized him from the National Crime Information Center database.' At the time, he was reportedly being held on a $25,000 bond. This came less than three months after he served a 90-day sentence for violating his parole from an earlier theft and weapon possession case as a juvenile at the Hamilton County Jail. Burgin was behind bars when Jackson gave birth to their baby boy, Kasai, in January 2025. In November, one day after Jackson, revealed she was expecting, Burgin was taken into custody in Cincinnati, Ohio after a botched foot chase with officers. The Ohio arrest warrant was related to a March 6 incident where Burgin was pulled over in Cincinnati and given a ticket for improper display of a license plate and failing to reinstate his driver's license At the time, police said in a report, reviewed by TMZ, that Burgin initially fled the scene when they approached him over a juvenile parole violation warrant. Burgin tripped, fell and suffered a cut on his cheek in the encounter, according to the outlet, after which police placed him in handcuffs. Burgin was released after receiving a citation for misdemeanor obstruction of official business, police sources told the outlet. Burgin's latest arrest comes two months after Jackson came forward to accuse him of abuse while filing for a restraining order against him in May. In the filing, Jackson claimed that her boyfriend tried to choke her on Mother's day. The Bunk'd standout also alleged that Burgin grabbed her by her hair, slammed her head against a car window and punched her in the face. She had their son Kasai, aged three months, in her arms during the attack, it was also claimed by the star in documents seen by the site. Jackson filed for a restraining order in L.A. County Superior Court as she feared for her life, it was also alleged. She has asked a judge to keep Burgin 100 yards away from her, their baby and her dog. Skai also wants him to attend a domestic violence treatment program, the site also stated. Skai is seeking a legal child support agreement and for him to pay all her legal fees, the site claimed the documents read. The violence was nothing new, the actress claimed, as she added he has been frightening her for more than a year. The TV star also alleged that he abused her weekly during a six-month period in 2024. That included choking and scratching her and slamming her head into a wall, she claimed in her paperwork. And he allegedly damaged her iPhone and a television. While she was pregnant, Skai claims Burgin demanded she drink bleach to 'kill the unborn child,' the site added. And he 'held her at knifepoint as he walked her to her car and threatened to stab her in the stomach if she yelled for help,' the site claimed. He then punched through a bathroom door, slammed her against a wall and 'choked me until I could not breathe' and she she has video to prove it, she alleged in her documents. He also has guns, she claimed: three firearms, including a rifle. Last year Jackson was in hot water herself when she was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery, but not charged. In September it was revealed that the Los Angeles District Attorney's office declined to file charges and dropped the case against her. She was previously arrested on August 8 at Universal Studios CityWalk in Los Angeles, California after an alleged altercation with her boyfriend. Police responded to a call from the theme park after security personnel detained Jackson for allegedly pushing her boyfriend. Deputies reviewed the surveillance footage of the alleged incident. At the time, her representative told PEOPLE: 'Skai is relieved that the investigation revealed that this was nothing more than a misunderstanding.' 'We appreciate that the DA determined very quickly that there should be no charges of any kind and Skai looks forward to putting this behind her,' her rep continued. At the time of her arrest, law enforcement sources told TMZ she told the arresting officers she was 'happily engaged and expecting a baby.' The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office informed the outlet that the case would not go forward due to Jackson not having any criminal history.
