Coolie leaked online on piracy sites
Within hours of its release, Rajinikanth's Coolie fell prey to piracy, with links surfacing across notorious sites such as Tamilrockers, Filmyzilla, Movierulez, and Moviesda. High-definition 1080p prints to low-quality 240p versions were circulated online, catering to every kind of viewer. The leak spree quickly spilled over to Telegram, where multiple channels shared the full film for free, making it accessible to a wide audience illegally.
Streaming Coolie through pirated sources doesn't just rob the makers of their rightful earnings — it's also a criminal offence under Indian copyright law. Offenders can face penalties of up to Rs 2 lakh and, in some cases, imprisonment.
Cybersecurity specialists caution that piracy websites come with hidden dangers, including malware, spyware, and phishing traps. These threats can compromise personal data, lead to hacked accounts, or result in financial fraud. Many such platforms also host adult or gambling content, posing additional risks, especially for younger audiences.
Rajinikanth's Coolie clashed with Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan's Hindi release, War 2, at the box office.

Raj Kundra offers his kidney to Premanand Maharaj. But was it for publicity?

Synopsis Businessman Raj Kundra drew both praise and criticism after a video from his visit to Vrindavan showed him offering a kidney to spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj, who has been battling kidney failure for over a decade. While some lauded the gesture, others called it a publicity stunt, prompting Kundra to defend himself on social media, urging people to 'judge less, love more' and stressing that his past should not overshadow his present choices. Raj Kundra Responds to PR Stunt Claims Over Kidney Offer to Premanand Maharaj Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, recently became the subject of intense online debate after a video from the couple's visit to Vrindavan surfaced. The footage captured Kundra offering one of his kidneys to spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj, who revealed during their interaction that both his kidneys had failed and that he had been living with the condition for more than a unexpected gesture visibly surprised Shilpa Shetty, whose reaction in the video drew as much attention as the offer itself. Although Maharaj expressed gratitude for the sentiment, he politely declined Kundra's offer. What some saw as an act of selflessness quickly became the target of skepticism online, with several social media users dismissing it as a 'PR stunt' due to Kundra's past controversies. The businessman addressed the criticism through posts on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), stating that it was 'strange' to see a life-saving gesture mocked as a publicity wrote that if compassion is considered a stunt, then the world could benefit from more of it, and if humanity is viewed as a strategy, it should be widely adopted. Kundra further noted that he does not allow the media or trolls to define him through labels. In another part of his statement, he remarked that his past does not negate his present choices, and that people should 'judge less, love more' as it might help save controversy comes at a time when Kundra and Shetty are also facing serious legal allegations. As per median reports, businessman Deepak Kothari has accused the couple of defrauding him of Rs 60 crore between 2015 and 2023. He claimed the funds, provided for business expansion, were allegedly used for personal Economic Offences Wing (EOW) is currently investigating the case. Advocate Prashant Patil, representing Kundra and Shetty, has publicly denied the accusations, calling them baseless and malicious.

Top 10 Highest Kollywood Opening Day In Andhra States: Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie takes 2nd biggest start despite clash with War 2

Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and starring Rajinikanth, took the second biggest opening among Tamil releases in Andhra states. It grossed Rs 17.75 crore and is just under Rajinikanth's own 2.0. The difference here is that Coolie managed Rs 17.75 crore, despite locking horns with War 2, featuring the Tollywood superstar Jr NTR. If not for the clash, the movie could have hit Rs 30 crore. A Rs 30 crore start would mean a new Kollywood record, and that too by a margin of an absurd 65-70 percent. For Coolie to give War 2 a run for its money in Andhra states speaks volumes. Infact, Coolie's day 2 is likely higher than War 2. Other movies part of the list are Thalapathy Vijay's Leo, Master and Beast, Vikram's I and Kamal Haasan's Indian 2. To note, S Shankar is the biggest Kollywood director in Andhra states. He has 3 films in the list, and then there are also other blockbuster films of his that were earlier part of this list.
