Wednesday star Emma Myers' off-screen life from overcoming bullies to being 'introvert'
The much-anticipated second season of Wednesday is set to hit Netflix on August 6, with the chilling trailer revealing a glimpse into Wednesday Addams' (portrayed by Jenna Ortega) premonition of Enid Sinclair's demise.
The gripping trailer has unleashed a flurry of fan theories, placing actress Emma Myers at the epicentre of the unfolding drama. Amongst the speculation is the potential for a dramatic encounter between Wednesday and a former adversary.
Emma Myers, the 23 year old American starlet, embarked on her acting journey as a child in 2010 with a guest appearance on The Glades. Hailing from Florida and sandwiched between two sisters, she was home-educated during her formative years, an experience that led her to confess to Teen Vogue that she missed out on conventional school life.
Yet, it was during her middle school years that she found solace and self-expression in emo and alternative music, resonating with bands like Twenty One Pilots, Panic at the Disco, and Fall Out Boy.
Reflecting on her past, she shared with Teen Vogue how her intense passion for this subculture set her apart from her peers, saying: "I was kind of an outsider because I was into things more than the normal kid would be," and added, "And I got bullied for it."
With time, her perspective has matured, and she now offers a more philosophical take on personal happiness: "Some people can't let go of the fact that people enjoy things that make them happy."
Her professional acting career took off at 16, leading to roles in productions such as A Taste of Christmas and Girl in the Basement.
It was her portrayal of the tardy werewolf Enid in Netflix's Wednesday that catapulted her to fame, although she has also been featured in several other Netflix projects.
She featured in the comedy film Family Switch, sharing the screen with Jennifer Garner, Ed Helms, and Brady Noon, and took on the lead role in A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. The latter is currently available on Netflix and has garnered international acclaim.
Despite portraying Wednesday's best mate in Netflix's adaptation of the Addams Family, she confessed that she identifies more with Wednesday herself.
In a chat with Elite Daily, she revealed: "I would consider myself more a Wednesday because I am very introverted and I don't have a lot of energy.
"Enid's very, very energetic and loves talking to people, while I, on the other hand, get really nervous."

"He was so many things to so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be apart of a very small group that got to call him Dad.' I think this quote best describes my father." The tribute was followed by a quote from Hunter S. Thompson, known for writing Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The Walking Dead actress Kelley Mack dies aged 33
The Walking Dead actress Kelley Mack has died aged 33 after being diagnosed with cancer. The American star's death was confirmed on her own social media pages this week, with her family sharing the following statement: 'It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go. 'Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express.' The family went on to share a link to a 'two-page formal announcement with information on her upcoming life celebration' – which will be held in Ohio next week. They concluded the announcement, which included a single photo of Mack, by writing: 'She would want you all to know how much she loves you. And as her sister, I want you all to know how brave that tough SOB was, especially when she decided to make the leap to be reunited with God. I'm so proud of her.' The actress, born Kelley Klebenow was from Cincinnati, Ohio, and died on August 2 after being diagnosed with glioma of the central nervous system. Both the Instagram post and her obituary explained that Mack had 'passed away peacefully', surrounded by family. A Fringe performer has told how he discovered he is to appear in the quarter finals of America's Got Talent - while walking on Salisbury Crags in Edinburgh. Improv rapper Chris Turner, who is from the UK but is now based in New York, said he had decided to enter the competition after getting his American citizenship. I got four yeses, but that doesn't necessarily mean you actually get a yes to appear in the live quarter finals, but I just got the phone call saying I am through, which is very exciting and a very big deal.' He said he had been walking on Salisbury Crags, near Arthur's Seat, when the call came. He said: 'They called, me, I was walking along Salisbury Crags, it was very picturesque. Actually, it was a good moment. They're like, 'You're through to the live quarterfinals'. But I couldn't hear them.' He said he had hoped he would make it through, but had not been confident. But you put it on TV, you don't know how the audience will receive it, you don't know whether they think it's a fix.' 'If I walk out and I'm like, 'Hey guys, I'm on America's Got Talent', I think people are going look around and go, 'Well, why are you in a half empty Portacabin in Edinburgh?
