About the game
Set after the events of Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, Blood Line introduces an original story centred on a new band of rebel recruits rising up against the tyrannical Imperium. While the world may look familiar to fans of Snyder's space opera, the protagonists are anything but.
The game's narrative digs into the Krypteia, a brutal faction introduced in the films as the Imperium's elite enforcers. But this time, the spotlight shifts.
'When [Super Evil Megacorp] approached me, they were like, 'What about the Krypteia warriors? Maybe we use them as the main characters,'' Snyder recalled. 'And I was like, well, how do we do that? They're the bad guys! But through a series of creative back-and-forth, we came up with this really cool idea… What if a rift formed between the Krypteia and the Imperium after a thousand years of alignment? What if that exploded into a planet-wide rebellion?'
This backstory sets the stage for a high-stakes campaign across the planet Krypt, where players will fight through biomes ranging from frozen prison camps and scorched deserts to lush, mountainous strongholds.
At its core, Blood Line is a top-down, action RPG shooter that blends lightning-fast combat with robust progression systems. Think Diablo meets Helldivers, but designed for mobile devices with console-quality polish.
'It's a Zack Snyder film,' said Game Director Robert Gallerani, 'so we need things blowing up and explosions happening everywhere. That always lends itself really well to a combat-centric game.'
Players choose from four distinct classes:
Bannerguard: Tank-like warriors who draw enemy fire.
Evoker: Supportive healers with tactical range.

'We started developing the game as the films were still getting made,' Hart explained. 'We loved the themes around found family, and the contrast between the stark Imperium aesthetic and the homegrown rebellion. We worked a lot of that through the game, while still finding our own tone that shines on mobile.'
But just because it's built for phones doesn't mean it's pulling any punches. The visual fidelity rivals console shooters, with dynamic lighting, cinematic effects, and environmental storytelling baked into every level.
There's also room for player creativity. One of the game's hidden mechanics allows players to pick up explosive barrels and place them tactically, a feature the developers debated keeping secret.
'We weren't sure whether to teach players this or let them discover it,' Gallerani said. 'Eventually, someone figures it out and starts laying ambushes — like collecting all the barrels and building traps.'
Blood Line is a deeper dive into a universe that continues to evolve. The first two films introduced us to the oppressive Motherworld and the heroes who rose against it, and the game is an expansion of the universe of sorts.
And if the fan reception holds strong, Blood Line could mark the beginning of a broader Rebel Moon multiverse.
