BTS: Jungkook returns to Instagram, joins V, RM in surprise livestream

BTS' youngest member had shocked fans when he deleted his Instagram account over two years ago. And just like that, he seems to have changed his mind and decided he wants to be on the social media platform, after all.
A new account, called ' mnijungkook' created on July 15 sent BTS ARMYs into a frenzy over Jungkook's supposed re-entry into Instagram. While the account has no display picture or posts yet, three of the BTS members — V, J-hope and RM are already following it.
What's more, the Golden Maknae used his new handle to join a surprise live session with bandmates RM (Kim Namjoon) and V (Kim Taehyung) on Tuesday morning, which was enough to prove to fans that this is a legit account.

Jungkook, who has experimented with unusual usernames on Instagram earlier, explained the meaning of this one during the live session. The 28-year-old singer explained the meaning behind his user ID, "The full form of the user ID is: My Name Is Jungkook." He decided to keep it simple this time, it seems.
The follower count on the account is steadily rising, crossing 2 million in a matter of hours.
BTS members entered the Instagram world quite late, creating their personal accounts in late 2021. Before that, BTS had only one official account on Instagram, handled by their agency, BigHit Music.
However, Jungkook quit the platform in February 2023, after experimenting with user names, layout, different content formats, etc.
He wrote on Weverse at the time, "I have quit Instagram. It's not hacked :) I didn't use it so I just deleted it.. don't worry!!!"
"I just don't use it what can I do!!? I'll rather do Weverse lives once in a while." He also added, "I have deleted the app too and I'm probably not going to use it in the future too! I'm letting (you all) know in advance!!!"
However, fans had hoped really hard that Jungkook would change his mind and return to the platform to share photos and videos from his daily life and work. And looks like their prayers have finally been answered!
All the BTS members have completed their mandatory military service and are returning to their lives as the biggest K-pop stars in the world. RM, V and Jungkook are in the US right now, working on a new project.

Different, but no less: A tale of autism, family and ambition

It is only an artiste who creates his work through a life experience. Anupam Kher's recently released film Tanvi The Great, that he has co written, produced, directed and acted in, (He has also written his next book Different But No Less based on the making of the film), is inspired by his niece Tanvi, who is in the autistic spectrum. The film's actor Shubhangi Dutt, who plays Tanvi, is a student from his acting school, An Actor Prepares. At a family wedding in Gurugram a few years ago, when the entire Kher clan was dancing, celebrating and having fun, he observed his niece had sauntered off. When he followed her, he caught her immersed, looking at the sky. When asked what she was doing, she said that she was looking at her own world. 'Her words threw me off balance. I realised how much I didn't know her world, ' says Kher. Though he has taught at the Dilkhush Special School and has worked with differently abled children, this thought stayed with him and he decided to make a film around this topic. Kher's first directorial Om Jai Jagadish released in 2002 was a heartwarming story of three brothers in a joint family. Kher had decided then that his second film would have a relevant message combining a cause, family bonds and the love for the nation. 'This film that has actor Pallavi Joshi playing Tanvi's mom, focuses on family bonds, though the main character is autistic,' says Kher. 'For them, we are the odd ones out and not the other way around. Look at most of us - we have become manipulative and mean as a society. In the film industry like everywhere else, you are constantly told how someone else is better than you and you have to keep doing something to be in the news.' Adds Kher, 'I find differently abled people kinder, more compassionate and filled with innocence, a quality that we have lost completely. I think people with the autism spectrum are far more intelligent and better human beings than us and I wanted to bring out that super power' he adds. So, along with his writers Abhishek Dixit and Ankur Suman, he set out to write the story - the story of a girl in the autistic spectrum who wants to join the Indian Army. The Indian Army incidentally, doesn't have recruits from the spectrum. Kher plays her grandfather in the film, someone who is bitter due to the loss of his wife and young son who is martyred. A far cry from Kher's own grandpa who was full of life. He recollects a time in childhood when he asked his granddad how the entire joint family was so happy even if they were poor. ' He had said that, for people who are poor, the cheapest luxury is to be happy and we need to celebrate happiness." Eminent Hollywood actor Robert De Niro attended the film's premiere and Ms Draupadi Murmu, the President of India, sat through the film at a special screening at her official residence, the Rashtrapati Bhavan, lauding the performance. 'We got a standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival as well as in London. Perhaps, people identified with the goodness the film radiates,' says Kher. During the making of the film, the crew was instructed to be calm - as in speak to each other politely and kindly, to create an aura of goodness. ' No harsh words were used or hurried activity that made people impatient and scream. It worked.' So how did the real Tanvi react to the onscreen Tanvi. ' My niece came to the screening. She sang a song too. Usually when you want to hug her, you have to ask for her permission. And she sang Lag Ja Gale … and made us all emotional.' The film was also shown to the Chief of Army and other soldiers and they all admitted that it made them cry. ' For me, that is heartening,' he says. While making the film, Kher decided to write the book. I decided to call it Different But No Less, which is a tagline of the film Tanvi The Great. 'The book is not about storms but about sailing through them, not letting anyone else get affected by your predicament but putting your own faith out there and following the greatest GPS God has gifted us - our heart.' All actors went through workshops conducted by Kher to sensitize them to autism. 'The film is not a blockbuster but it has succeeded in touching hearts. After 40 years of Saaransh (Kher's debut film), I'm getting the same kind of love in this film,' says Kher. 'Thankfully actors survive the long haul, unlike stars.' We agree!

Mohanlal was the impetus behind 'Drishyam 3', says Jeethu Joseph

Director Jeethu Joseph, who delivered the blockbusters Drishyam and Drishyam 2, catapulting its protagonist Georgekutty into India's popular culture, revealed that the draft of the third instalment of the series, Drishyam 3, is ready. And it was actor Mohanlal — whose steely portrayal of a father ready to shield his family from adversaries won laurels — who prompted him to write Drishyam 3. Joseph, while recently speaking at the inaugural of a film and drama club at Nirmala College in Muvattupuzha in Kerala, said that he was under immense pressure while writing the draft. 'When I finished (writing), I felt relief,' he said in a video of the event. The director is juggling multiple projects, including the shoots for the Malayalam thrillers Mirage, which stars Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali in the lead; and Valathu Vashathe Kallan, with Biju Menon and Joju George. Joseph revealed that his day would begin early by around 3.30 AM, as he would write for Drishyam 3 in between. 'It was a struggle; mentally and physically I was tired,' he said. 'But now it is a great feeling.' In an interview with Mathrubhumi, Joseph said that the impetus for the third instalment came from Mohanlal, soon after Drishyam 2 (2021). 'Though I was not sure about what to say at that time, I told him that if we ever went for another sequel, I wish for the climax to be crafted in a particular way. I shared my thoughts with him,' Joseph was quoted as saying by the publication. "At that time I had said that if Georgekutty returns once again, the climax of the movie will be in a particular way." ' Lalettan (or how Mohanlal is popularly referred to in Kerala) liked it and asked me to have a try... and if it comes right, let's move ahead with the story,' Joseph was quoted as saying by Mathrubhumi. "It was the climax of Drishyam 3 that first came to my mind." Drishyam 3 will begin filming in September and is being produced by Aashirvaad Cinemas, a banner that has been traditionally associated with movies involving Mohanlal. The first two films of the franchise received wide critical acclaim and became massive hits at the box office, spawning massive interest and remakes in multiple Indian languages. Apart from Drishyam 3, Mirage and Valathu Vashathe Kallan, Joseph told Mathrubhumi he has a legal drama with Fahadh Faasil lined up for 2025.

Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid celebrate 7th anniversary with heartfelt posts

Kapuso stars Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid marked their seventh anniversary as a couple with emotional tributes on social media. Umali posted a close-up photo of the two sharing a kiss on Instagram, along with a love letter expressing her deep appreciation for Madrid. 'Pitong taon na… pero hanggang ngayon, hindi ko pa rin maipaliwanag kung paano mo nagawang baguhin ang mundo ko nang ganito,' she wrote. She went on to say that Madrid brings her peace in chaos and joy in sadness and promising to always choose him. 'Pitong taon pa lang 'to, pero parang habambuhay na kitang mahal,' she added. Madrid posted a montage of their memories together, from casual dates to their travels abroad. He also penned a short poem to mark the occasion: 'Pitong taon ng pag-ibig. Hindi perpekto, pero totoo. Hindi man laging tugma, pero palagi nating pinipili ang tama. Tayo pa rin. Tayong dalawa. Hanggang dulo—ikaw at ako. Sa 'yo lang ang tingin. Mahal na mahal kita.' He ended the poem with a message: 'Happy 7th anniversary, Maria Isadora Bianca.' The couple went public with their relationship in 2022, though they had long been rumored to be together. In past interviews, Madrid has referred to Umali as 'The One.'
