Sops for govt staff on Cabinet agenda
Hyderabad: The state Cabinet, scheduled to meet on Thursday, is expected to take some crucial decisions, including sops for the government employees, recruitment for pending vacancies in government jobs and women empowerment. It will also deliberate on the schedule for the launch of the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme aimed at transforming unemployed youth into entrepreneurs.
The meeting will also discuss extensively the progress of the implementation of the flagship welfare schemes launched by the ministers recently. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has already sought a report on the implementation of the important schemes from the ministers.
The progress of the works under Indiramma Indlu (housing) scheme, fine rice distribution at ration shops, implementation of the Bhu Bharati Act, distribution of solar pump sets to tribal farmers and the status of the verification of the applications received from the youth to provide financial assistance under Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme will be reviewed in the Cabinet meeting. The Chief Minister is of the view that it is the responsibility of the ministers concerned to successfully implement the flagship schemes and reports submitted by them will be helpful in speeding up the implementation process.
Official sources said the Cabinet will also take an important decision on the implementation of the recommendations made by the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) on the Medigadda and other barrages of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. It will also focus on the constitution of other official committees with irrigation experts to implement the recommendations made by the dam safety authority.
The development of the proposed Future City, Regional Ring Road (RRR) and new system for permits to construct buildings in the
Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) limits were also included in the agenda of the Cabinet meeting. Sources said the Chief Minister would present a report on the financial challenges and seek the suggestions of his Cabinet colleagues to tide over the crisis.
He would also ask the ministers to strive hard to achieve the revenue targets in their respective departments.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee on resource mobilization already prepared a report on how to increase revenues by introducing a slew of reforms without putting an extra tax burden on the people in the current financial year.

Telangana CM to launch Rs 1,051.45 cr development projects in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district
Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, June 6 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation stone for a series of development works worth Rs 1,051.45 crore in Tirumalapur village of Turkapalli Mandal under the Aleru Constituency on Friday. During the visit, the Chief Minister will also address a public meeting. He will be accompanied by several ministers and senior state officials. As part of the programme, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the construction of the Gandamalla Reservoir, which will be taken up at a cost of Rs 574.56 crore. He will also launch the construction of the Young India Residential School, proposed at a cost of Rs 200 crore. In a major boost to medical infrastructure in the region, the foundation stone for a new Government Medical College building in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District will be laid at an estimated cost of Rs 123 crore. Urban infrastructure will also receive a significant upgrade with the launch of CC roads, BT roads, and storm water drainage works in Wards 1 to 12 of Yadagirigutta Municipality, at a cost of Rs 25.50 crore. The Chief Minister will lay foundation stones for the construction of high-level bridges in Kolanupaka and Kalwala, at costs of Rs 7.50 crore and Rs 6 crore respectively. Additionally, administrative infrastructure will be strengthened with the foundation stone laying for new buildings for the Tahsildar, MPDO, and Police Station at the Mota Konduru Mandal Centre, at a cost of Rs 8.25 crore. Agricultural storage facilities will also be expanded, with a 20,000 metric ton capacity godown to be constructed in Datarpalli village of Yadagirigutta Mandal at a cost of Rs 22.75 crore. A 2,500 metric ton godown will also be built at Aleru market yard at an estimated cost of Rs 2.75 crore. The development works also include BT road projects under CRR and MRR schemes in the Aleru constituency, estimated at Rs 21.14 crore, an official statement said. UNI VV ARN

Cabinet clears two DAs, Metro, Manmohan varsity & more
HYDERABAD: The state Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, on Thursday approved the release of two pending Dearness Allowances (DA) for government employees and accepted several key demands raised by employee unions. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, addressing the media after the meeting, said one DA will be released immediately, while the second will be disbursed after six months. Welfare of employees To support employee welfare, the Cabinet approved the establishment of a Health Trust with the chief secretary as chairman. The government will contribute Rs 500 per employee, matching the employee contribution, to provide comprehensive health benefits. Metro expansion and infrastructure boost The Cabinet approved the expansion of the Metro Rail network at an estimated cost of Rs 19,579 crore. I&PR Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said expansion will cover three corridors — Shamshabad to Future City (39.6 km), JBS to Medchal (24.5 km) and JBS to Shamirpet (22 km) — totalling 86.1 km. The proposals will be forwarded to the Union government for approval, Vikramarka disclosed. He also revealed that the Cabinet okayed proposals for construction of 5,190 km of Roads and Buildings (R&B) roads and 7,947 km of Panchayat Raj roads under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), to be completed over the next two and a half years. The government has allocated Rs 16,780 crore for Panchayat Raj roads, and Rs 16,414 crore for R&B roads. University to be named after Manmohan Singh In another decision, the Cabinet resolved to name the upcoming Earth Science University in Kothagudem after former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh. State to clear employee dues in phased manner It also approved the formation of Medical Invalidation Committees at the district level for employee-related health evaluations. Vikramarka further said that the Cabinet has decided to clear pending employee dues in a phased manner, releasing at least Rs 700 crore per month. It also approved a 12.5% quota for employees in Secretariat posts, as demanded by unions and sanctioned the grading system for panchayat staff.
