The Chiefs start against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil, on September 5, then face the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, and Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens game will take place just two days before his scheduled hearing.

Since Rashee Rice's Lamborghini collided with another vehicle on March 30, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, his status has been unknown. According to police, Rice was driving at around 119 mph and racing a Corvette when both vehicles collided with other vehicles.
At least four individuals sustained injuries. According to investigators, the drivers departed without providing any details or help.
Rashee Rice turned himself in to Dallas police nine days afterwards. Among the eight counts he faced were aggravated assault and collision causing injury. In July 2025, a judge sentenced him to five years of probation and 30 days in prison. Court documents reveal Rice agreed to make over $115,000 to assist the victims with their medical expenses.

'I fully apologize for the harm I caused to innocent drivers and their families.'
He also told reporters during training camp that he had 'completely changed' since the crash.
