Couple gets engaged in Cardiff ahead of Oasis after travelling 20 hours for gig
The Colombian couple made a 20-hour journey to Cardiff just to catch Oasis launch their Live 25 reunion tour at the Principality Stadium tonight, Friday July 4.
Sergio chose Thursday, July 3, at Cardiff Castle as the perfect moment to propose to Heidi, ensuring their special moment didn't overshadow the main event they travelled for. As a die-hard Oasis fan, Sergio was buzzing with anticipation for the show, stating: "It's the most important gig in the world, I've been waiting for this moment for 25 years"
He shared: "I've seen Liam in Buenos Aires and Argentina, Noel in Colombia, but I've never seen them together."
The couple expressed their affection for the city and its welcoming inhabitants. Sergio said: "Cardiff is a lovely place the people are so kind and charming, it's like a huge village. Friendly people, I feel so comfortable with the people here.
"We are looking forward to seeing the culture and the people, and not drink too much because we want to enjoy the show and remember everything, every lyric, every note.", reports Wales Online.
To mark the occasion, Sergio proposed to Heidi during their visit to Cardiff Castle. He said: "It is the best trip we have done in our life. I didn't want to propose at the concert because today is my day, yesterday was her day and I wanted to make it about her and not my favourite band."
Despite her limited English, Heidi adores the music and is thrilled to see her new fiancé's dream of watching his favourite band come true.
Tickets for the Oasis reunion sold out across all venues due to huge demand when they went online earlier in the year. However, there are still several options available for fans trying to snag a last-minute spot. Limited last-minute tickets can be bought from the official Ticketmaster resale site, where fans who can no longer go sell their seats, although these tend to go into and out of stock quickly. Elsewhere, resale sites like Viagogo, Vivid Seats, StubHub and Twickets are selling tickets for various dates, although fans should always bear in mind that many official sites, such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, discourage the purchase of resale tickets.
Meanwhile Seat Unique has some VIP tickets available offering a host of additional perks alongside access to the gig.
