Kishan Reddy highlights youth's role in building Viksit Bharat

Hyderabad, July 12 (UNI) Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy today highlighted the crucial role of India's youth in realising the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Viksit Bharat 2047'
Speaking at the 16th Rozgar Mela at Rail Kalarang in Secunderabad, he congratulated the 51,000 newly appointed youth across India and urged them to play a key role in building a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.
He said the Modi government has so far provided over 10.5 lakh government jobs through Rozgar Melas and is committed not just to creating jobs but also empowering youth to become job creators.
Citing the success of Startup India, he noted that over 1.60 lakh startups have generated 17.6 lakh jobs, especially in smaller towns, reducing the need to migrate for employment.
Highlighting women's participation, he said 68 per cent of 52 crore Mudra loans were given to women and over 1 crore women are now earning above Rs 1 lakh annually under the Lakhpati Didi scheme. Women's labour force participation has grown from 23 per cent in 2017–18 to 41.7 per cent in 2023–24, with unemployment among women dropping to 3.2 per cent.
On the skilling front, he said 1.6 crore youth have been trained under the PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, including in emerging sectors like AI, drones, and cybersecurity. A National Skill Training Institute will be set up in Hyderabad with Rs 1,000 crore. He also mentioned paid internships in top 500 companies and a push to create 3.5 crore new jobs in the next two years through employment-linked incentives.
He highlighted that India now has the third-largest startup ecosystem, is leading globally in digital transactions, and ranks second in internet usage. The country is now self-reliant in defence production, manufacturing battle tanks, missiles, and submarines domestically.
Calling the youth India's greatest strength, Kishan Reddy said that with their dedication and the government's support, no one can stop the country's rise.
In his concluding remarks, Kishan Reddy urged the newly appointed government employees to remember the contributions of their parents and teachers and to serve the country with dedication and responsibility.
He said that if the sincerity of the youth is matched with the government's initiatives, India's progress will be unstoppable. 'Let us walk together and build a new India that the world will admire,' he said, extending his best wishes to all the new recruits.

iPhone 16 Pro gets a massive price slash as Flipkart GOAT sale heats up, drops prices just before iPhone 17 arrives

While Apple loyalists keep an eye out for the iPhone 17, Flipkart is busy clearing the decks. The Flipkart GOAT Sale 2025 has slashed the price of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max quite heavily. The iPhone 16 Pro Max now sits at Rs 1,09,900 instead of its launch price of Rs 1,29,900. The iPhone 16 Pro is down too — Rs 1,54,900 from Rs 1,64,900. Throw in an extra Rs 4,000 off if you've got a Flipkart Axis Bank credit card and the deal gets even sweeter. These phones still hold their own. The iPhone 16 Pro brings a 6.3‑inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. The Pro Max stretches that to 6.9 inches. Both run Apple's A18 chip and carry 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage at the base. The cameras remain a highlight — a triple rear setup with a 48MP main sensor, 48MP ultra‑wide and 12MP telephoto. Selfies and video calls? A crisp 12MP front camera sorts that. Battery life is decent too: 3582mAh for the Pro, 4685mAh for the Pro Max, both supporting 25W wireless charging. They're offered in Titanium White, Titanium Desert and Titanium Black. 'The iPhone 16 series made a lot of buzz at the time of launch,' as tech insiders pointed out last year. And rightly so. The Pro versions stand apart with high-end displays, solid build and a camera system that can still rival the best. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The Top 20 Most Expensive Cars Undo Is it worth buying right now? If you want a top-tier iPhone but don't fancy stretching your budget, these GOAT Sale deals look very appealing. More premium deals in the mix Flipkart isn't stopping at iPhones. If you want an alternative, the Google Pixel 8a is now Rs 37,999 — decent price for a phone that's all about clean Android and sharp cameras. The Samsung Galaxy S24 sits at Rs 46,999, packing a punch with the Exynos 2400 chip, a vibrant AMOLED display and a triple camera. If you're leaning Samsung but want it a bit cheaper, the Galaxy S24 FE is Rs 35,999. Live Events How the base iPhone 16 fits in Don't overlook the standard iPhone 16. At launch in India it started at Rs 79,900 for 128GB. Now, Flipkart's sale has dragged it down to Rs 69,999. Early shoppers even grabbed it for Rs 59,999 when the sale kicked off on 12 July. Bank offers, cashback and EMI deals make it lighter on the wallet too. The iPhone 16 holds up well: 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED, A18 Bionic chip, 48MP main camera with next-gen stabilisation, 12MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP TrueDepth front camera.
