Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center holds Easter Egg Hunt

Yahoo20-04-2025
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — There are lots of Easter Egg hunts going on this Easter weekend and that includes the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center here in Sioux City.
Around 70 kids showed up for the center's first ever Easter egg hunt. There were over 500 eggs spread throughout the property for kids to collect.
There were also other activities like a coloring table and foam animals to play with. The hope is that it will also get kids interested in coming back to the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center.
'I hope the kids really get a chance to have a lot of fun, win a bunch of prizes and really connect with our center,' said Elizabeth Albright, the Education and Events Coordinator at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. 'I really want this space to be very special for kids to come and enjoy with their families.
Each child received a gift bag of different goodies from the interpretive center.

Why ‘The Office' cast would sneak back onto set after hours: Brian Baumgartner

It was after business hours. 'The Office' star Brian Baumgartner has revealed that the cast used to sneak back on set after filming — for one key reason. 'There were some nights where we came back to Dunder Mifflin late at night when the shooting had stopped,' Baumgartner, 52, exclusively told The Post. 'The people who were involved in the Fantasy Football league would sit at all of the working computers, and draft in person together there.' 9 Brian Baumgartner in his interview with the New York Post. 9 Brian Baumgartner as Kevin with his chili on 'The Office.' 'Those are very fond memories, for sure.' Baumgartner played the chili-loving Kevin Malone from 2005 to 2013. The NBC comedy also starred Steve Carrell, John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fisher and Mindy Kaling. They played staffers at the paper company, Dunder Mifflin. 'I do a fair amount [of trash talking.] I'm very active….during the draft,' he said while promoting his partnership with Samuel Adam's Octoberfest beer, including a limited-edition Fall Legends Commissioner's Kit for Fantasy Football season. 'If you draft wrong, you're going to hear from me, probably Rainn Wilson as well. He's a big trash talker.' Carrell, however, isn't in their league. 'He's kind of a Patriots guy. And hockey is more Steve's thing,' he noted. 'Steve still played hockey while we were shooting the show in a rec league.' The cast would even play Fantasy Football on their characters' computers when the cameras rolled. 'We were probably all much better players when we had time there to just sit and look at our computers,' he said. 9 Kate Flannery as Meredith Palmer, B.J. We would pay bills, and get personal business done.' The show exploded in popularity during the 2020 pandemic. According to Nielsen data, 'The Office' was the most streamed show of 2020, raking in over 57 billion minutes viewed. He recalled an incident when, 'I was chatting with Rainn [Wilson] and I said, 'it feels like the show is as big as it was when we were at the height.' 'It's hard to really have people understand how small that conference room really was. [Creator] Greg Daniels kept it very small because he wanted it to have that sort of claustrophobic feeling,' he told The Post. 'We all felt a little punch drunk…..Steve really thrived in those moments and very clearly to me, he did his best to try to make us laugh.'

Day 3 of trial for alleged mastermind in Young Dolph murder

Hernandez Govan will be live in the courtroom at 9:30 a.m. in the video box above. MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Hernandez Govan, the man accused of orchestrating the death of rapper Young Dolph, is set to appear in court for day three of his trial Wednesday morning. On Tuesday, Angela Arnold, the girlfriend of Cornelius Smith, was the first witness to take the stand. She told the court that to her knowledge, Smith never had direct contact with Big Jook and that he would communicate with Govan to send and receive messages. She also testified she saw Govan at a carwash hours after Young Dolph's death, when Smith picked up a cellphone from Govan he had left in the white Mercedes used in the murder. Various Memphis Police Investigators were then called to testify in court, along with cell phone records. According to the investigators, they went over calls and text records of Goavn, Smith, and Big Jook in the months leading up to the murder and afterward. They say Smith appeared to have several outgoing calls to Govan. But in cross-examination, Govan's defense attorney explained the reasoning for their communication, saying, Govan supplied Smith with various types of pills, and Johnson talked with him because he was an aspiring rapper. Another investigator who testified said detectives went to the airport to execute a search warrant on Big Jook's phone and asked if they could speak to him, but he refused. This story will be updated. ► Day 1: Trial of alleged mastermind in Young Dolph case ► Day 2: Trial of alleged mastermind in Young Dolph case Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. What Does Taylor Swift Smell Like? A Deep Dive Into Her Perfume Eras

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." No Easter egg is too subtle or convoluted to withstand Taylor Swift's fandom for long. But one particular question has haunted Swifties for years: What does the pop superstar actually smell like? Let's travel back to circa 2010, Swift's Speak Now era. While she was being interviewed by late-night host David Letterman, he observed that she smelled like 'expensive wood.' Though we don't know exactly what scent she was sporting that night, Swift has been known to lean toward warm and spicy fragrances. Enter Santal Blush by Tom Ford. Whispers from fans invited to Swift's Reputation secret sessions revealed she wears the woodsy fragrance with notes of sandalwood, cinnamon, and ylang-ylang. Plus, a scene from her 2020 Netflix documentary Miss Americana shows Swift backstage on the Reputation tour, surrounded by tour essentials and a bottle of Santal Blush. Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford—a sophisticated fragrance with a smoky, sweet scent—also comes up in conversations about Swift's signature perfume. Others say she's a longtime fan of Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb, which translates her penchant for warm scents into a floral base with notes of jasmine, rose, and Blush Eau De Parfum $300.00 at SephoraTobacco Vanille Eau de Parfum $295.00 at $75.00 at But Swift's love for richly romantic scents predates her Tom Ford fixation: She often wore her own line of fan-favorite fragrances that we produced by Elizabeth Arden. Between 2011 and 2014, the Grammy winner released five fragrances with the cosmetics company: Wonderstruck, Wonderstruck Enchanted, Taylor, Made of Starlight, and Incredible Things. Unfortunately for Swifties, they have been discontinued, leaving fans to scour the internet for dupes and covet unopened bottles, which sell for hundreds of dollars. Wonderstruck, a magical scent for hopeless romantics sealed in an enchanting purple bottle, was Swift's first foray into fragrance in 2011. It was a floral scent with top notes of raspberry, blackberry, and freesia, along with base notes of peach and sandalwood. Its sister scent, Wonderstruck Enchanted, debuted soon after in a similarly shaped burgundy bottle, which continued the sweet and floral theme with vanilla base notes. In a 2012 interview with MTV UK, Swift said Wonderstruck captured the exhilarating emotion of first meeting someone, while Wonderstruck Enchanted represented the feeling 'after you've met them, after you've already fallen in love.' The names of both fragrances were plucked from lyrics in her song 'Enchanted,' which explores the excitement of love at first sight. TikTok fragrance influencer Paul Fino singled out some dupes to fill the Wonderstruck-shaped hole in Swifties' hearts: Lost in Ink by Oakcha for Wonderstruck and Night Illusion by Sunnamusk for Wonderstruck Enchanted. Titania by Fable & Canon is also a reported dupe of Wonderstruck, while Bath & Body Works's Into the Night mirrors Wonderstruck Enchanted's floral the Night Fine Fragrance Mist $15.88 at Swift debuted her third Elizabeth Arden fragrance during 2013's Red era, known simply as Taylor, which she described as sweet and sophisticated in a Q&A. Her eponymous scent mixed floral and citrus ingredients, curating a delicate balance of lychee, tangerine, and magnolia petals, with woody notes at its base. Though Swift has since promised we'll never find another like her, Burberry for Women by Burberry comes close to matching her namesake fragrance. Made of Starlight was released in early 2014 as a special edition of the Taylor perfume. Although it mirrored Taylor's retro-esque packaging and many of its floral-fruity fragrance notes, it was noticeably lighter, with notes of apricot, passionfruit, and mandarin leaves. For Her by Narciso Rodriguez contains notes similar to Made of Starlight's fresh citrusy essence (albeit without the accompanying collector's music box). Incredible Things—a floral and woodsy scent with base notes of creamy musk, Madagascar vanilla, and white amber—hit the shelves in 2014 during Swift's original 1989 era. If her past fragrances represented love, Swift said in a behind-the-scenes clip, then this bold fragrance, named after a 'Blank Space' lyric, represented life. This final Taylor Swift brand perfume was a mature departure from her past scents, and if you're looking for a similar musky floral aroma, try Dossier's Floral for Women Eau de Parfum $95.00 at For Her Eau de Parfum $144.00 at Fragrance Mist $17.95 at While Swift has switched up her fragrance picks from breezy florals to vanilla musks over the years, she has consistently maintained her signature scent of success (and Santal Blush, of course). Perfume has even been part of the hype surrounding her new album The Life of a Showgirl, as one of the variants in the pre-sale is called "Sweat and Vanilla Perfume." Could that be an upcoming lyric, and a nod to Tobacco Vanille? And for what it's worth, Travis Kelce, too, smells really good.
