Selena Gomez launches Rare Beauty's first perfume with inclusive design and scent layering balms
Rare Beauty, founded by Selena Gomez, has launched its first fragrance, Rare Eau de Parfum, with a focus on accessibility and customisation — a rare approach in the perfume industry.
Beyond its warm, layered scent, the standout feature is its inclusively designed bottle and supporting fragrance balms.
Developed in partnership with certified hand therapists and packaging engineers, the Eau de Parfum's bottle is purposefully squat and ergonomic, created to be easily used by people with limited hand dexterity.
Selena Gomez's attention to detail goes further with the introduction of Fragrance Layering Balms in four complementary scents: Amber Vanilla, Floral Peony Blossom, Fresh Bergamot, and Woody Oak.
The main scent itself opens with gourmand notes of caramel, pistachio, and vanilla before warming into ginger and sandalwood, a blend developed with perfumer Jérôme Epinette, known for his work with Byredo and Sol de Janeiro.
Rare Eau de Parfum ($75 for 1.69 fl oz) and the Layering Balms ($19 for 0.67 fl oz) will be available from 7 August on Sephora.com and RareBeauty.com.

Selena Gomez reveals wedding dessert preference for future event with Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez has shared an early look at her wedding menu preferences, revealing both her dessert choice and what she plans to avoid when she marries fiancé Benny Blanco. In a new video clip released by her beauty brand Rare Beauty, Gomez said, 'I do know I don't want a big cake,' when asked about the wedding food she envisions. The singer and actress explained she prefers a more modest option: 'I think I'd want a mini one for just us that we can freeze.' Gomez also named her preferred dessert — her grandmother's biscuits and gravy. 'My Nana's biscuits and gravy,' she said. 'That sounds like dessert to me.' Gomez and Blanco announced their engagement in December 2024. However, the couple have not yet begun detailed planning for their wedding, as confirmed by Blanco during a July 10 appearance on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast. He cited conflicting work schedules, stating they have been 'working on so many things that we hadn't even had time to get into it.' Blanco added that they may set aside time over the summer to begin planning. As for the overall tone of the event, Blanco said he believes it 'will be, like, chill.' Gomez and Blanco have often spoken publicly about their shared interest in food. Blanco previously told PEOPLE that he often creates personalised meals for Gomez and advises others to cook for their partners as a sign of affection.

Selena Gomez's kidney donor, Francia Raisa signals support for Justin Bieber fueling feud rumours

Francia Raisa has reignited speculation over her friendship with Selena Gomez after sharing an Instagram post that featured Justin Bieber's new song 'Daisies.' The track, a heartfelt dedication to Hailey Bieber from his latest album Swag, played in the background of Raisa's behind-the-scenes content from Celebrity Family Feud. Bieber later reshared the post to his Instagram Stories, sparking renewed interest in Raisa's apparent support. In the caption, Raisa wrote, 'Spoiler Alert: We Won! I had so much fun playing Celebrity Family Feud with my familia. What made it really special was getting to play for a cause that meant something personal.' She revealed the episode was filmed the same weekend as her late friend Supanna's birthday, a connection that made the experience deeply meaningful. Raisa's team played for The Breasties, a cancer support nonprofit. Still, fans focused on her song choice. With 'Daisies' being a known tribute to Hailey Bieber and Raisa's former best friend, Selena Gomez, notably absent from the post, users on social media speculated whether this marked the end of their once-close bond. Bieber's quiet repost only added to the intrigue. Raisa and Gomez have had a complex relationship since Raisa famously donated a kidney to the singer in 2017. While they've both downplayed reports of a rift, public interactions have been minimal in recent years. Now, with Raisa embracing a track by Gomez's most high-profile ex, fans are left wondering if the silence between them speaks volumes.
