OnePlus 13 And 13R Finally Get Plus Mind AI Feature After Launching With 13s Variant
OnePlus 13 series models are now getting the Plus Mind AI feature that was introduced with the OnePlus 13s model earlier this year.
OnePlus 13 series models are finally getting the new Plus Mind AI feature that was introduced with the OnePlus 13s in India last month. The company has made design tweaks that replaces the alert slider with a new Plus Key that can be triggered to use the Plus Mind ecosystem, something that OnePlus built over its private cloud computing system.
The OnePlus 13 and 13R models launched earlier this year come with the alert slider, which means the brand has overhauled the system to support the new AI feature for users.
The Plus Mind AI feature has been demoed working on the OnePlus 13s with the Plus Key but the company promised the tool will be rolling out to other OnePlus 13 models, and this week it has been made official. OnePlus 13 and 13R users will get a new update over the next few weeks that adds the new AI feature.
The Plus Mind feature effectively lets you capture images, notes and posts from social media and save them in a folder on the app. You get an AI summary around an image or any notes that you take. When you long-press the Plus Key on the OnePlus 13s model, it can record the information you want to be saved. And if you own the OnePlus 13 or 13R model, the system will be slightly different.
Other brands have offered similar features in recent months. Nothing has the Essential Space that works through the Essential key button that sits below the power key on the Nothing Phone 3a and Phone 3 models. Apple also has the Action button which is customisable and we could see the company make it AI-enabled when its features become available in the near future.

Mercedes-Benz To Allow Teams Calls While Driving, Internet Says ‘Made For Bengaluru'
Last Updated: Mercedes-Benz and Microsoft's collaboration marks the first time a car manufacturer has offered in-motion video call capabilities without distracting the driver with any content. Mercedes-Benz has joined hands with Microsoft to launch a feature that allows drivers to take video meetings while on the road. As surprising as it may sound, the luxury carmaker will now let users access Microsoft Teams Meetings from inside their vehicles even while driving. The new feature is being introduced through the Mercedes-Benz Operating System ( which debuts with the newly unveiled CLA model. It marks the first time a car manufacturer has offered in-motion video call capabilities without distracting the driver with any content. How Does It Work? Mercedes-Benz says the Teams Meetings integration will allow drivers to join calls using an in-built camera. This means drivers will be visible to other participants during a meeting. But to ensure safety, the driver will not be able to see video footage of other participants when the vehicle is in motion. 'Given the brand's focus on safety, the use of the camera abides by the laws of each country and has been approved for use while the vehicle is in motion. The meeting video stream turns off automatically as soon as the camera is activated to prevent driver distraction," Mercedes-Benz said in an official press release. One X user called it a feature 'not a single soul asked for." Another posted, 'Can't even have peace while driving now. Insane. Bring back the days of travel without constant connection." 'Peak integrating solutions into nobody's problem," someone else said. A person wrote, 'I think it is one of the funniest things I ever heard. We are going to make your commute more of a pain." The jokes continued on Team BHP, one of India's most popular car forums. 'Looks like it was specially made for Bengaluru. Anyway people are stuck in traffic, let's make the most of it," an individual jokingly shared. Another said, 'Oh that's great! Now they'll get to see me curse at the traffic all the way to my office now!" Microsoft 365 Copilot Also Onboard Beyond Teams video calls, the collaboration is also bringing Microsoft 365 Copilot to the Mercedes-Benz cabin. This will allow drivers to use voice commands to manage emails and manage daily tasks. The idea, as Mercedes-Benz puts it, is to create a 'third workspace." Neuralink Recipient Writes Her Name Using Her Thoughts, Elon Musk Says 'Most People Don't Know'
The post quickly went viral, capturing the attention of social media users worldwide. Even Elon Musk responded, confirming the achievement. A woman has amazed people worldwide by revealing that, for the first time in 20 years, she was able to write her name—using only her thoughts. This remarkable breakthrough was made possible by Elon Musk's company, Neuralink. Audrey Crews, who has a Neuralink implant, posted a picture on X (formerly Twitter) showing her signature on a computer screen. She wrote, 'I tried writing my name for the first time in 20 years. I'm working on it. Lol #Neuralink." The post quickly went viral, capturing the attention of social media users worldwide. Even Elon Musk responded, confirming the achievement and explaining, 'She is controlling her computer just by thinking. Most people don't know this can happen." 'This made me cry," said one. 'This technology will change humanity forever," wrote another. Neuralink is also working on a new brain chip called Blindsight. This chip could help blind people see again, and even give them better-than-normal vision. So far, the chip has been tested only in monkeys, but the company hopes to start selling it by 2030. They also plan to earn over a billion dollars a year from different brain implants by 2031. Neuralink's main goal is to create devices that connect directly to the brain. They want to help paralyzed people move, help blind people see, and change how people use technology by linking their minds to computers. view comments First Published: July 28, 2025, 13:03 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. TCS shares decline nearly 2 pc on layoff announcement
Agency: PTI Last Updated: New Delhi, Jul 28 (PTI) Shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) declined nearly 2 per cent on Monday after the company announced that it will lay off about 12,000 employees of its global workforce this year. The stock dipped 1.69 per cent to Rs 3,081.20 on the BSE. At the NSE, it went lower by 1.7 per cent to Rs 3,081.60. India's largest IT services firm TCS is set to lay off about 2 per cent, or 12,261 employees, of its global workforce this year, with the majority of those impacted belonging to middle and senior grades. As of June 30, 2025, TCS's workforce stood at 6,13,069. It increased its workforce by 5,000 in the recently concluded June quarter. The move is part of the company's broader strategy to become a 'future-ready organisation", focusing on investments in technology, AI deployment, market expansion, and workforce realignment, TCS said in a statement. 'Towards this, a number of reskilling and redeployment initiatives have been underway. As part of this journey, we will also be releasing associates from the organisation whose deployment may not be feasible. This will impact about 2 per cent of our global workforce, primarily in the middle and the senior grades, over the course of the year," it said. TCS will provide appropriate benefits, outplacement, counselling, and support to the impacted employees, it added The move comes at a time when India's top IT services companies have delivered single-digit revenue growth in Q1FY26, capping off a somewhat-sobering June quarter as macroeconomic instability and geopolitical tensions weighed on global tech demand and delayed client decision-making.
