Post Malone is having a massive week on the U.K. charts, and he has Taylor Swift –and a new vinyl pressing – to thank for some of his success. The multi-genre superstar is back at No. 1 on several rankings with the blockbuster duet 'Fortnight,' and the song even earns him a brand new chart-topper on a list that had previously eluded him completely.
'Fortnight' finds its way back to the summit on two tallies in the U.K. The hit collaboration returns to No. 1 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Physical Singles charts, both of which track pure purchases in different formats.
The same cut also launches atop the Official Vinyl Singles chart, becoming the bestselling individual song on wax in the U.K. this week. That's a new placement for the track — and a milestone for Malone.
Despite his global fame and chart dominance across multiple other rankings, Malone had never appeared on the Official Vinyl Singles chart before this week. That changes as 'Fortnight' doesn't just break onto the ranking, it debuts at No. 1. It's not often that musicians open in first place with their first wins on any roster, let alone a sales-focused list.
'Fortnight' has now appeared on the Official Physical Singles chart in only two weeks — and both times it's run the show. The single debuted at No. 1 back in May 2024 before vanishing entirely from the tally. Nearly a year later, it's back at No. 1 once again.
That isn't quite the case when it comes to the Official Singles Sales chart. On that roster, 'Fortnight' started at No. 8, then quickly climbed to No. 1 the following frame. Over the past year, it has now spent 18 weeks on that ranking in total, with just two of them in the top spot.
'Fortnight' is back following another hugely successful edition of Record Store Day. The song was reissued as a white 7-inch vinyl, featuring the original duet on one side and a remix on the other. The limited-edition pressing instantly became a collectible for fans of both Swift and Malone – which means, to a lot of people.
The smash also returns to the main U.K. singles ranking. This week, the cut reappears at No. 29 on the Official Singles chart, the country's primary list of the most popular tracks. While not a new peak – it's already topped the tally – it's an impressive resurgence for a tune that many assumed had run its course.

I Live in Rhode Island—and These Are My Favorite Hidden Gems in the Ocean State
Rhode Island—blink and you could miss this tiny state on a map. But what this corner of New England lacks in size, it over-delivers with classic East Coast charm. It's no secret Rhode Island's popularity has soared in recent years. Blame what you will—its oh-so Instagrammable beauty, its wealth of stunning Gilded Age mansions, or the Taylor Swift effect. But venture beyond the typical tourist track, and there are swaths of the Ocean State that remain delightfully off the radar. These include locals-only beaches, storied museums, and seaside cafes with world-class, live music performances. As a Rhode Island resident, here are my eight favorite hidden gems across the state. For those craving a blissfully remote escape—complete with windswept beaches, the call of seagulls, and nothing else—a Prudence Island trip delivers. This six-square-mile teardrop of land in Narragansett Bay is only a 30-minute ferry (a round-trip ticket will set you back a little over $10) from downtown Bristol, yet it keeps a surprisingly low profile. With only 200 year-round residents, there isn't much to do on the island—but that's kind of the point. Here, visitors can tour what was the last one-room schoolhouse in the state, explore the North End Farm (a Revolutionary War-era homestead that was repeatedly raided by the British), and traverse 13 miles of trails through rocky beaches, pine forests, and grasslands. There are no hotels on Prudence, but a day trip is all you need to experience its untamed, wild glory. The pièce de résistance of Sunset Cove is undoubtedly its panoramic views over the bay, but locals flock to the restaurant for old-fashioned sundaes, food trucks, and live music performances. Located in Saunderstown, the bucolic estate was once the home of celebrated painter Gilbert Stuart, perhaps best known for his portrait of George Washington that's now on every $1 bill. The museum is open seasonally from roughly mid-April to mid-October and gives visitors a glimpse into colonial life through Stuart's 18th-century, gambrel-roofed home. On the premises, you can find a gallery filled with original Stuart paintings as well as rotating exhibits and an old snuff mill, once used to grind tobacco into a fine powder. The surrounding 23 acres the estate sits on are full of trails ripe for exploring, too, and take visitors past historic stone walls, cemeteries, and babbling brooks. While you're in Saunderstown, visit Plum Pt. Bistro, a family-owned restaurant specializing in house-made pasta dishes crafted with local ingredients. Don't miss their grilled twin pork chops or sirloin steaks, which are creatively served on cutting boards. Reject's Beach, located next to the private Bailey's Beach in Newport. Blair West/Travel + Leisure At the very end of Newport's scenic Cliff Walk trail, there's a sandy, crescent-shaped sliver of coast that's considered to be one of the best beaches in the area. And while the majority of the cove belongs to an exclusive beach club, Bailey's Beach, there's a small portion that's open to the public. It's referred to—appropriately and affectionately—as Rejects Beach. While it doesn't have parking, Rejects Beach is accessible via the Cliff Walk by foot or bicycle. But less than a mile from the main drag, you'll find a more authentic slice of the city: Newport's artsy Broadway District. It's a vibrant space, plastered with murals, and it's the perfect spot to get a taste of the local art scene through the paintings and photography on display. Your next step should be the TikTok-famous Nitro Bar, where you can get the best caffeine fix in town with fun, flavored lattes like the Wilbur (an iced espresso drink with coconut syrup, cinnamon, and coconut milk) as well as toothsome pastries such as the sun-dried tomato focaccia. For a sweet, Instagram-worthy treat, try the Fruit Loop, a delightfully blue, iced concoction made with pea flower tea, vanilla, and oat milk. It's conveniently located in Middletown, not far from Newport's popular beaches, but it still remains off the radar for many tourists. Visitors come to Sweet Berry Farm to pick their own fruit, including strawberries in the spring; peaches and blackberries in the summer; and apples and pumpkins in the fall. There's also an on-site market and cafe filled with the literal fruits of the farm's bounty. However, Wickford Village is chock-full of history, with many homes and churches predating the Revolutionary War. Take a stroll down the main street and browse local artisanal shops, where you can find everything from handblown glass and pottery to funky jewelry and home goods. Once you've stocked up on gifts, refuel with lobster rolls and clam chowder beneath the blue-and-white-striped umbrellas at Tavern by the Sea. Round it all out with a visit to the nearby Hamilton Lotus Pond, known for its unusually large (and pretty) water lilies. An elephant and giraffe topiary at the Green Animals Topiary Garden in a family-friendly outing without the crowds, head to this whimsical estate on Aquidneck Island. Green Animals Topiary Garden is the oldest garden of its kind in the U.S., but these aren't your grandma's topiaries. Instead, the 80 giant hedges here take the shape of giraffes, lions, elephants, and teddy bears. Visit on a clear day to explore the seven acres of flower-lined pathways, trickling fountains, and herb displays while enjoying prime views of Narragansett Bay. And while the topiaries are decidedly the stars of the show year-round, nearly 40,000 blooming tulips take center stage during the spring—no need to book that trip to the Netherlands.

Third-graders share about the local fair, volunteering, and community
With only hours left to go before Niverville's Olde Tyme Country Fair gets underway, The Citizen dropped by one classroom at Niverville Elementary School to get some children's thoughts on what it means to be a volunteer and make one's community a better place to live. Mr. Walker's Grade Three class was raring and ready to participate in this question period. And with midway rides being erected just beyond the schoolyard, it seemed imperative to get the most important question out of the way. What's the best part of the fair? Without a doubt, the carnival rides were everyone's biggest highlight, with the Sky Master and Haunted House getting special mention. Of course, the fearless feats of the motorcycle jumpers ranked right up there with stage acts like Taylor Swift and Spice Girls cover bands. 'I like how pretty the fireworks are,' one boy added. 'During the night, I like when all the lights go on, like on the Ferris wheel and stuff,' chimed in a young girl. The carnival food, the facepainting, and market all held a special place for these kids too. Next question: but why is the fair an important thing for a town like Niverville? The stated reason was simple: to make people happy. One young man took his answer a step further, adding that the fair brings people together. 'Getting together is a symbol of caring for each other.' The next question wasn't as easy to answer. How many volunteers does it take to run a fair? 'Maybe about 50?' one young lady guessed. The guessing game continued until another hit the nail on the head. Indeed, it takes 300 volunteers to make the Niverville fair run. And who are some of our other hometown volunteers? For this question, we were asking the kids to take a broader perspective. According to this young group, the list is extensive: firefighters, hot lunch organizers, coaches, and referees, to name a few. Of course, parent volunteers were not overlooked. 'They help on field trips to help kids be safe,' a student added. Everyone agreed that it takes people to make community and great people to make a great community. Neighbourhoods, they added, are just smaller versions of communities, and each one of us plays a unique role in making our neighbourhoods better places to live. For this young collection of thoughtful citizens, there are countless ways in which they can do that. They all agreed that littering is a problem they hope to help fix. As well, they can be mindful of animal welfare and protecting the environment. The simple act of sharing a smile and a hello can have a big impact on the wellbeing of their community, they concluded. 'It's spreading the kindness around,' one boy said of this little gesture. 'If you're having a bad day, if somebody says hi, it might make your day go better,' added a girl. As the group collaborated on ways to make a difference in our world, one young student leapt to her feet to open the door for a classmate in a wheelchair, without being asked. 'This whole class is good with [acts of kindness],' Mr. Walker said of his students.
