Is my boyfriend a freak, or is his kink simply too freaky for me?

DEAR DEIDRE: I'VE always liked a bit of rough, but I think my latest boyfriend's preferences may be too extreme for me.
When he first told me he was into CBT I thought he was talking about counselling. Then it quickly became apparent that he wanted me to kick him in the balls.
We've been together for four months and our sex life has been so exciting. He loves me dressing up in sexy underwear and high heels.
The first time he asked me to dominate him was thrilling. I walked all over his back - in my stilettos and afterwards we had the most intense sex I've ever experienced.
I knew I was in for a kinky ride the first time I saw him naked. He has a ring at the end of his penis which he told me would give me the best orgasms of my life - he wasn't wrong.
I'm 44 and he's 46 and we get on just as well out of the bedroom as inside it.
The attraction between us is insane but I'm concerned I've reached my limit since he explained he wants me to hurt him down below.
I mean how do you get pleasure from that?
He says he's had two relationships where his exes were happy to participate and that they enjoyed the sense of dominance and control.
He's asked me to try it just once to see if it is for me but I'm too nervous to even go there.
What if I seriously injure him? I know he says there is a strong bond between pleasure and pain but his requests are making me feel extremely uneasy.
He has lived with anxiety his whole life and says that letting go in the bedroom is one of the few pleasures that give him a real break.
So far I've avoided what he calls 'ball play' but I can tell he's not going to let up.
What should I do? Give it a chance or run for the hills?
DEIDRE SAYS: To start off no one should do anything sexually they are not comfortable with.
So if this suggestion is something that churns your stomach and you simply can't face it then you need to be honest with your boyfriend.
Discuss if there is a compromise. You clearly have a lively sex life as it stands. Does he need this to get satisfaction or is it simply an option he enjoys?
Ball play is better known than you may realise. And while of course there are obvious dangers, devotees say they experience intense pleasure from the practice.
For some CBT is about constriction of the penis or testicles, for others it's about inflicting pain on the penis or testicles.
If you decide you do want to try the practice, be very clear about your limits and ask him about his.
Make sure you have safe words and go slowly to begin with and carefully monitor any reactions.

Stacey Dooley models a necklace inspired by infant daughter Minnie's name as she leaves the Zoe Ball radio show with boyfriend Kevin Clifton

Stacey Dooley ensured her daughter wasn't too far from her thoughts on Sunday as she left Zoe Ball 's radio show with boyfriend Kevin Clifton on Sunday. The couple - who have been dating since early 2019 - welcomed a daughter named Minnie together back in January 2023. And Stacey, 35, was seen wearing a bubbly font necklace which had her two-year-old daughter's name on it during their latest appearance in London. She looked super fashionable in a white top and camo trousers, adding a huge tote bag and glasses to finish off her daytime look. The mum-of-one scraped her locks into an elegant bun and was seen wearing a massive smile as they walked through the city together. Meanwhile, former Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin, 42, looked smart in a blue polo shirt and jeans as he carried a suitcase and bag beside his girlfriend. Back in May, Stacey revealed she took her baby daughter to a brothel in Nevada, while she was filming a documentary about prostitution in the United States. In the latest series of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA, the presenter visited the oldest legal brothel in Nevada, the Mustang Ranch, to explore the lives of sex workers in the States. But she has now revealed that her daughter came along for the visit, when she was just eight-months-old, joking 'it sounds like a comedy sketch'. Stacey recalled the story at the Hay Literary Festival in Wales, during a panel with journalist Emma Barnett, where she discussed how she juggled balancing motherhood and work. The broadcaster explained that she brings her little girl along with her for filming - including to the more unusual locations. According to The Telegraph, she admitted: 'There's nowhere that child hasn't been. When she was eight months we had this gig in the diary to go to the States to make a documentary about this legal brothel in Nevada. 'I'd sort of signed the contract and was like: "oh, she'll be eight months, that'll be fine." 'Anyway, the trip comes, and I'm nowhere near comfortable leaving her so I take my eight-month-old child to this brothel in Nevada. 'I have to ask the sheriff for special permission, because she's under 18. It sounds like a comedy sketch, but it's legit!' Stacey explained that she had to rent a trailer for Minnie to stay in with dad Kevin and that the little girl would watch out the window while she was filming. She hilariously recalled that when she returned to the trailer to breastfeed, the prostitutes at the brothel would greet her daughter with: 'Morning Miss Minnie!' The presenter quipped: 'I'm like: she'll be open minded if nothing else!'

Christine McGuinness take sly dig at ex-husband Paddy as she reveals reason why she now wants to date women

CHRISTINE McGuinness has taken a sly dig at ex-husband Paddy, claiming she now wants to date women so she can have 'a deeper connection.' The model and TV star, who has joined an all-star line-up on E4's Celebs Go Dating, split from the TV presenter in 2022. 3 3 Christine, 37, says of dating after parting from Paddy, 51: 'I describe my sexuality as being a free spirit. "Now I'm enjoying spending time with women. "I can just have a deeper connection with a woman. "I like someone who knows what they want and isn't playing games.' Christine had already confirmed that, for the past three years, she has only been involved with women, reportedly including rapper, model and DJ Roxxxan, and singer Chelcee Grimes. Talking yesterday in You magazine about her sexuality, which she refuses to put a label on, she says: 'My ex-husband knew about it from when we first met and was fine with it.' Christine, who has three children with former Take Me Out host Paddy, is one of eight celebs in the show, which starts on August 11. Dating coach Paul C Brunson presides over events along with sex guru Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn. But she quit the show after just a week when she realised the process was too intense for her. The other daters are Love Islander Olivia Hawkins, Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona, The Chase brainbox Mark Labbett, S Club singer Jon Lee, comedian Donna Preston, Made in Chelsea's Sam Prince and Too Hot to Handle hunk Louis Russell.
