Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson caught kissing in TV moment after striking up romance

News.com.au29-07-2025
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson have all but confirmed their new romance after the pair were caught getting very cosy with one another on TV.
Dating rumours have surrounded the duo following speculation they struck up a romance on the set of their new movie, The Naked Gun. And on Wednesday, during an appearance on the US Today show, their actions did little to squash the rumours.
At one point during the show, Anderson, 58, and Neeson, 73, were shown in a passionate embrace as they seemingly went in for a kiss before being sprung by cameras.
Today co-host Craig Melvin concluded that it was 'proof' of their 'budding love story'.
'What's the deal here? You're both single right now. There's clearly chemistry on display throughout this film. Are you two an item?' Melvin point-blank asked them.
Though the pair initially played coy about their relationship status, with Anderson replying, 'What? I don't understand the question,' Neeson admitted that they 'have a lovely budding chemistry'.
'I had never met Pamela before,' the Taken star said. 'We met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry – as two actors.'
'[We decided], 'This is nice, let's not mull this, let's just let it breathe.' And that's what we did.'
Elsewhere in the interview, he gushed, 'We're both silly. We discovered a silly bone in each. It was great to be with this lady, seriously. Every day was a joy.'
Meanwhile, a source confirmed to People that the pair's chemistry went beyond the set.
'It's a budding romance in the early stages. It's sincere and it's clear they're smitten with each other,' the source told the magazine, adding that Neeson and Anderson are 'enjoying each other's company'.
The pair have been touchy-feely on the red carpet in the past week as they promote the sequel to the iconic hit comedy, which originally starred Leslie Nielsen and Priscilla Presley.
The former Baywatch star was even spotted kissing Neeson on the cheek as he held her tight during the film's premiere in London last week.
Anderson and Neeson also made it a family outing at the New York premiere on Tuesday when they walked the blue carpet with their respective sons.
Anderson bought her sons, Dylan Jagger Lee, 27, and Brandon Thomas Lee, 29, with ex-husband Tommy Lee, and Neeson brought his sons Micheál Richardson, 30, and Daniel Neeson, 28, who he shared with his late wife, actress Natasha Richardson.
Neeson never remarried following Richardson's death in 2009 after a skiing accident.
Anderson was previously married to rockers Rick Salomon and Kid Rock, and builder and bodyguard Dan Hayhurst, who she divorced in 2022 after just two years of marriage.

Alicia Silverstone teases Clueless TV show will 'honour' original movie

Alicia Silverstone has vowed to "honour" the original Clueless in the upcoming follow-up TV show. The 48-year-old actress shot to fame playing pampered teenager Cher Horowitz in the 1995 movie and she revealed in April she'd be reprising the role for Peacock's upcoming programme, and while she admitted there is "not much" she can discuss about it, she promised it will bring "something fresh and new" to the characters while staying true to the original premise. Speaking on TODAY, she said: 'I'm really excited about it. I think we're going to try really hard. The goal is to make it honour what everyone loves about Clueless and Cher. 'So we want to honor that, but also bring something fresh and new to it. I'm confident that we'll be able to do that, but we're in baby stages right now.' Alicia previously admitted it was playing Cher again in Rakuten's 2023 Super Bowl commercial that made her particularly keen to return to the role. Asked if she thought she'd ever revisit her character, she told People magazine: "I didn't. And then I did it for the Super Bowl, yeah, and it was so much fun. We did it really at the Super Bowl." The Baby-Sitters Club actress recalled her and ex-husband Christopher Jarecki's son Bear, now 14, first saw the movie when he was just five years old - and although the youngster "didn't know what was going on", the movie compelled him to kiss his mom more. She recalled: "I remember when my son was five, when he first saw it. "And the only reason I would allow that, because I don't think it's appropriate for five year olds, is because it was on that big screen that we saw it at the cemetery. He didn't know what was going on. 'The only thing he took away was the kiss at the end. He started kissing me more. It was so sweet. 'And I think he liked it. And then he's liked it all along. I think he really likes this film.' There was a previous attempt to bring Clueless back as a TV show for Peacock back in 2020, but that project never went forward. A previous TV show version of the story launched back in the 1990s, with Rachel Blanchard playing Cher for three seasons between 1996 and 1999. Alicia previously revived Cher back in 2021 when she recreated a scene from the film with her son Bear for a video posted on TikTok. She later enlisted her former co-star Stacey Dash - who played Cher's best friend Dionne - to film another recreated scene for the social media site before sharing a Cher montage last year to mark 27 years since 'Clueless' hit cinemas. Alicia captioned the clip: "27 years ago, a bad b**** was born ... Happy anniversary, Cher! #Clueless #AsIf #90s."

MGK reinvents himself on new album Lost Americana, featuring narration by Bob Dylan

Machine Gun Kelly switches lanes again on his new album, Lost Americana. Released on Friday (08.08.25), the rapper-turned-rocker proves he's no one-trick-pony as he traverses genres on the follow-up to 2022's Mainstream Sellout. Best known for his rap beginnings and two chart-topping pop-punk albums — Tickets to My Downfall and Mainstream Sellout — the 35-year-old artist steps into new territory with a sound that draws on country, folk and classic heartland rock influences. MGK - whose real name is Colson Baker - previously told People of not wanting to be pigeonholed: 'I choose to not stay contained in a societal box. 'All I do is entertain, and entertainment can't be that serious.' The LP was first teased in June with a cinematic trailer narrated by none other than Bob Dylan. In the clip, the folk legend described the record as 'a sonic map of forgotten places, a tribute to the spirit of reinvention and a quest to reclaim the essence of American freedom.' Dylan, 84, said: 'From the glow of neon diners to the rumble of the motorcycles, this is music that celebrates the beauty found in the in-between spaces. "Where the past is reimagined, and the future is forged on your own terms.' Initially, fans questioned whether Dylan's voice in the teaser was legit — but during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week, MGK confirmed it was indeed the Like a Rolling Stone hitmaker. He said: 'To be honest, I have no idea how he even knows who I am. 'And I'm pretty sure if I say the wrong thing I'll mess it all up, so I'll just shut up and accept whatever Bob Dylan throws my way.' The narration came after Dylan posted a clip of MGK performing on his Instagram in February, leaving the music world stunned. Lost Americana is out now on all major streaming platforms.

Pamela Anderson has 'cracked the code' for social media

Pamela Anderson believes she has "cracked the code" for living with social media without getting "depressed". The former Baywatch star, 57, fears many people get stressed out by platforms such as Instagram because they have the ability to create the perfect version of themselves through editing tricks - but Pamela is adamant she looks exactly the same as her pictures in real life and it means she doesn't have to "fret". She told Glamour magazine: "We're going through a time when people are taking a lot of pictures of themselves, there's a lot of social media, but they don't really look like their social media. "I've cracked the code: I actually look in the mirror like I do on social media. Then you don't have to get so depressed. Or [if] I see a bad picture of myself, I don't fret over anything like that anymore." She went on to add her new state of mind is linked to her decision to scale back her use of make-up, adding: ""Maybe it's accentuated or maybe it's not relatable because I've been in this business, but I think people can relate a little bit. "They're always doing selfies and putting them on their [feeds], and then they're like: 'Oh, I don't look like that', or 'I look bad right now', when really you just look like you! "I didn't plan on not wearing make-up as a political statement, but I'm glad it's resonating. I really just did it for me so I could - I had to - get off the crazy train." Pamela previously described her decision to ditch make-up as a "social experiment", telling Times Radio: 'I've always known that beauty does come from within, and that physical beauty is perishable. "As much as my mom wants me to go out with an eye on, I'm experimenting. This is a social experiment. I'm doing what I think is right right now." She continued, 'I'm not against make-up. I just feel like this is a chapter for me that I'm trying to figure out who I am." Pamela first stepped out bare-faced in 2023 during an appearance at Paris Fashion Week for the Vivienne Westwood show. In a get-ready-with me video with Vogue France, she explained, 'I don't want to compete with the clothes. I'm not trying to be the prettiest girl in the room."
