CM Naidu adopts 250 families under P4 scheme, urges people's movement to end poverty in AP
Speaking at a review meeting and unveiling the #IAmMargadarsi poster at the Secretariat on Friday, Naidu declared, 'I am adopting 250 families from my Kuppam constituency. I take full responsibility for their holistic development. I've been urging mentors to come forward, and now I'm leading by example by adopting these 250 Bangaru Kutumbams. I will prepare a detailed development plan for them. I am a Margadarsi. No other State has undertaken such an initiative to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.'
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that his active participation would inspire others to step forward as Margadarsulu and support underprivileged families. He emphasised that the initiative must become a people's movement, with collective efforts aimed at uplifting the State's most vulnerable communities.
Naidu reiterated that empowering poor families is a central goal of the coalition government and urged officials to implement the most effective strategies across all regions. He called on Telugu diaspora to join the initiative and directed officials to engage the AP NRT Society.

In my 47-year political journey, including 15 years as Chief Minister, I have never seen such degradation in politics. A party depicted Amaravati women as prostitutes. When a few women demanded an apology during its leader's visit to Podili in Prakasam district, they were assaulted.' 'TDP MLA Prashanti Reddy was abused by another YSRCP leader. Instead of condemning it, their party chief spoke in support of it. They tried to frame me in connection with their uncle's murder. At Bangarupalem in Chittoor district, mangoes were crushed under tractors to create a political spectacle. Fake videos were shown in Nellore to create false public support,' Mr. Naidu said. 'I will not remain silent if criminals foray into politics. The political parties must serve the people. Even if power is their ultimate goal, they must uphold values, discipline, rules and decency. Should people learn foul language and violent conduct from these leaders? I'm working to protect the lives and the future of the poor,' Mr. Naidu said.

Gear up to adopt technology and shift to natural farming, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu advises farmers in Andhra Pradesh
Promising to bring about a transformative change in agriculture, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has asked the farmers to gear up to adopt latest technologies in farming. Addressing the farmers at the launch of Annadata Sukhibhava-PM KISAN scheme at East Veerayapalem village of Darsi mandal in Prakasam district on Saturday, Mr. Naidu said farmers would get suggestions based on a study on best yield crops, and they must follow the instructions. 'The government has solved many problems of the farmers using new technologies. As there is no market for crops such as tobacco and groundnut, it is planning to encourage aquaculture in the coastal districts, horticulture in the Rayalaseema region, and commercial crops in other areas,' Mr. Naidu said. 'The NDA government is working tirelessly to sustain agriculture and improve the livelihoods of the farmers. I urge the farmers to shift towards natural farming, while reducing the use of fertilizers and pesticides,' he said. Drip irrigation 'Though the previous government has cancelled the subsidy on drip irrigation to the farmers, we have revived it and are giving 100% subsidy for the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes in Prakasam and Rayalaseema districts, and 70% subsidy in the coastal districts,' he said. 'The previous year, we expanded drip irrigation to 1,17,880 hectares, benefiting more than 1.11 lakh farmers. Andhra Pradesh is No.1 State in the country in drip irrigation,' the Chief Minister said, adding the government was supplying power to aqua farmers at ₹1.50 per unit. 'We have increased the assistance from ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 under the Matsyakarulo Sevalo shecme. We have provided ₹259 crore to 1,29,178 fishermen families. We have provided agricultural implements worth ₹61 crore to 26,000 farmers at 50% subsidy,' he said. The government would be establishing the country's largest Drone City at Orvakal in Kurnool district. 'It is preparing use cases and research is under way. About 875 Kisan Drones will soon be available for cultivation. It has set a target of providing another 1,000 Kisan Drones in this year's budget,' he said. Linking of rivers 'As water is the most important resource for agriculture in rain-dependent areas, the government is planning to connect all rivers. The Polavaram project gives us an opportunity to divert river water to agricultural fields, which otherwise will flow waste into the sea,' Mr. Naidu said, assuring to complete the project by December 2027. 'About eight years ago, I had provided water to the Krishna Delta through the Pattiseema Lift Irrigation scheme. In the future, we will tell farmers in advance which crop to be cultivated based on weather and water availability. The farmers must go for cultivation accordingly,' he said.

Naidu and Lokesh's Singapore visit aimed at safeguarding ‘ill-gotten wealth', alleges former Minister
Former Minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Anakapalli district president Gudivada Amarnath has levelled serious allegations against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, claiming that their recent visit to Singapore was intended to protect their 'ill-gotten wealth' rather than attract investments for Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a press conference at the party office on Saturday, Mr. Amarnath alleged that, having failed to secure any substantial investments, the Chief Minister and his son fabricated a narrative accusing YSRCP supporters of sending emails to corporate companies, thereby obstructing investment flows into the State. He further claimed that the Singapore government was reluctant to engage with Andhra Pradesh due to the past record of corruption associated with Mr. Naidu and Mr. Lokesh. 'What tangible investments have they brought in following their trip?' he questioned, alleging that for the past two to three days, Mr. Lokesh has failed to answer this and is instead attempting to divert public attention by making baseless allegations against Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and the previous YSRCP government. Criticising the present government's performance, Mr. Amarnath said that many industrialists are hesitant to invest in the State after witnessing one year of Mr. Naidu's rule and what he described as 'atrocities' by NDA leaders. He also questioned the silence of Ministers such as Narayana and T.G. Bharat, who accompanied the delegation, and asked why Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan was not included in key international visits to Davos or Singapore. He accused Mr. Naidu of harbouring an 'obsession with Singapore' since his previous tenure beginning in 2014. Referring to the Amaravati Capital Region Development project, Mr. Amarnath alleged that Mr. Naidu handed over a 58% stake to a Singapore consortium without any financial contribution from their side, while the Andhra Pradesh government, which invested ₹12,000 crore, was left with only a 42% stake. 'In the revenue share, Singapore companies were allotted 91.5%, while the State received a mere 8.5%. Is there a bigger scam than this?' he asked. Mr. Amarnath also demanded clarity on Mr. Naidu's alleged connections with former Singapore Minister S. Iswaran, who is currently facing charges in a corruption case. He asserted that several key infrastructure projects that Mr. Naidu promoted during the Singapore visit—including the Ramayapatnam, Mulapeta, and Machilipatnam ports, as well as the Adani Data Centre—were all initiated and advanced under the previous YSRCP government. He credited the prior administration's efforts, particularly Mr. Jagan's meetings at Davos, for bringing global companies such as ArcelorMittal to Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, Mr. Amarnath criticised the alleged handing over of prime government land in Visakhapatnam to private entities at throwaway prices. He cited the example of the Lulu Group, which was reportedly granted land on a 99-year lease at a rate of just ₹1.5 per sq. ft—an offer he claimed was unacceptable to the local populace. He concluded by demanding that the State government clarify its position on the future of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, amid growing concerns over its privatisation.
