A.P. Waqf Board plans to support poor Muslims through P4 initiative
Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board is putting all its efforts to implement the P4 (Public Private People Partnership) initiative to provide security and support to the poor Muslim families in the State. A.P. Waqf Board Chairman Abdul Azeez announced this while speaking at the fourth State-level meeting at Command Control Room of the Nellore Municipal Corporation (NMC) office on Saturday. The P-4 is a poverty alleviation programme launched by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on March 30. According to the initiative, rich and affluent people who come forward to uplift the poor as 'Margadarsi' (guides) would support the beneficiary families called as 'Bangaru Kutumbam' (golden family). Addressing the media after the meeting, Mr. Abdul Azeez said that the Waqf Board is exploring the ways to generate income from its properties across the State, while protecting them from alienation. Particularly, a Rent Review Committee will be formed at the State level to review the rents of 1,300 shops directly managed by the board in various areas, he informed. He alleged that the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government had not only stalled the development works of the Waqf Board, but also not submitted the utilisation certificate for ₹386-crore funds sanctioned by the Union government. So, the Centre has not sanctioned any new funds. 'The Chief Minister spoke about this issue with the Centre, and worked to resolve the problem soon,' he added. The Waqf Board chief informed that criminal cases will be filed against the 'Mutawallis' (trustees) who sold out the Waqf lands in the State. He further said that an application was received from the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) to set up an MSME park at Mallayapalem in Guntur district, and the land will be leased on a long-term basis without changing the title and ownership.

AP CM directs that 15 lakh poor families should be adopted by 'Margadarsis' by August 15
Vijayawada, June 4 (UNI) As part of the Zero Poverty P4 mission, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to ensure that 15 lakh families in the state are adopted by Margadarsis (mentors) by August 15 this year. He emphasised the need to accelerate the registration of Margadarsis and the adoption process. Stating that the P4 model is a continuation of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) policy introduced after the economic reforms, the Chief Minister conducted a review on the Zero Poverty P4 initiative at his Undavalli camp office on Wednesday. He directed that the Smart Andhra Pradesh Foundation be restructured as the Swarna Andhra P4 Foundation. The Chief Minister highlighted Amaravati's land pooling model as a case study for the P4 approach, noting that wealth creation was enabled for 29,000 farmers by making them partners in capital development. In the same spirit, he urged each Margadarsi to adopt a 'Bangaru Kutumbam' (Golden Family) and work towards their upliftment. The Chief Minister asserted that he would personally review the progress of the P4 initiative once every 10 days. He also reviewed the P4 logo designs prepared by officials. Officials informed the Chief Minister that several organisations such as Milaap, Project DEEP, Rang De, and Bhargo have come forward to collaborate as partners in implementing the P4 initiative effectively. Out of the 19,15,771 families registered as Bangaru Kutumbalu in the state, Margadarsis have so far adopted 70,272 families. Among these, the largest numbers are from the BC community (26,340 families), followed by SCs (14,024 families) and STs (13,115 families). UNI DP RN

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu shows how P4 initiative can uplift poor
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has explained the P-4 (Public, Private, People Partnership) initiative with a live example asking Margadarsi (a rich individual) to support a Bangaru Kutumbam (a poor family) during a programme in Narampet village, Atmakur mandal in SPSR Nellore district on Thursday. Sharing her story, a poor woman Gnanamma said, 'My husband works as a daily labourer. On the days he doesn't work, we beg for food. We don't have a house. When I ask for a loan, people question how will I repay it. I want to educate my children. My husband and I are non-literates. Please help us build a house.' The Chief Minister asked her to consider her four children as their greatest assets. He said, 'Educating them will secure your future. The government will allocate land and build a house for your family with essential facilities like water, electricity, gas, and toilet. We will deposit ₹4 lakh in a bank on the name of your four children.' Nageswara Rao, an entreprenuer who came forward to help her as Margadarsi, said, 'When my father passed away during my childhood, my mother used to sell vegetables to educate me. I understand the struggles of the poor. Through our Saho Foundation, we adopted and educated 190 orphan children. I will take full responsibility for educating Gnanamma's four children.' Mr. Naidu asked the rich people to provide financial support and uplift the poor in the State. Speaking about the government aid, he said, 'We are spending ₹33,000 crore annually to provide pensions to 64 lakh people. One in every 2.5 families receives a pension. In some cases, pension income exceeds family earnings. We will ensure all eligible citizens receive welfare schemes.' 'My goal is to provide housing, drinking water taps, toilets, electricity, and gas connections under the 'Super Six' welfare plan. Under Talli ki Vandanam scheme, the mothers will receive ₹15,000 for each child in a household by June. We are currently delivering 270 services through WhatsApp Governance and will increase this to 1,000,' Mr. Naidu added.
