Haiden Deegan Sends Message with Dominant Arlington Victory
In a nearly perfect sweep, the 1-1-2 Triple Crown finishes gave Deegan the overall in AT&T Stadium. However, every start at the gate drop was outside the top five. Deegan proved across all three Main Events that he could climb through the field and either win or be a threat for the victory.
'Just keep working and keep getting better,' said the Temecula, Cali. native racing for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing. 'It's all I can work on. Here we've got the troops on the tank for Military Appreciation Week. Love the troops. Thank you guys for your support. This one's for you.'
Deegan, 19, earned his fourth career 250SX victory in his third season at the class level.
Coty Schock continued to display his talent week after week. Quietly moving up the charts each race, he secured his first podium and best career SuperMotocross finish in his 10th year of AMA Pro competition.
'I was a nobody, and now I'm somebody,' celebrated the Dover, Dela. rider. 'Everyone with the team, we're broadcasted as a big team that does a lot with a little. It's a little shop based out of South Carolina. We put in the work, and it's cool to finally put it on the box for these guys.'
Schock, 27, also gave his team their first career podium finish across the organization. Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha currently has two riders competing in the 250SX West division with Schock and Jett Reynolds, while four others are listed as 250SX East competitors.
'It's surreal,' he continued. 'My dad flew out for this round, and really wish my mom was here.'
The second overall position was tied in the Olympic-style point structure. Schock would earn the higher position after beating Michael Mosiman in the third Main Event. Mosiman, with his 10th career podium, waited nearly three years, dating back to April of 2022 when he podiumed at Denver.
'Man, there's a sense of relief,' said the Sebastopol, Cali. native. 'So much work was put in and so many people that believed in me, even at times when I didn't myself, to get back to this place, back to the podium, have to learn how to spray champagne again. It's hard to put into words. Been in some pretty low places. Now to be here, it's great.'
Jo Shimoda captured the first holeshot of the night and finished fourth overall. Garrett Marchbanks gave Kawasaki an overall top five finish.
In the first 250SX Main Event, Jordon Smith crashed in the whoops coming to the white flag and did not finish. He was placed on a stretcher and escorted off track in the Alpinestars medical cart, and would not resume the other two races.
The 250SX West division will race next in Round 9 of the SMX World Championship and indoor stadium season of Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Indianapolis when they combine with the East division for the first East/West showdown of 2025. Coverage at Lucas Oil Stadium begins at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock and SiriusXM Channel 85.

Mikkel Haarup breaks collarbone in Unadilla mid-air crash
Mikkel Haarup collided with another rider on Lap 5 of Moto 1 on the Unadilla National in New Berlin, New York, and broke his collarbone, ending what could be described as a Cinderella Season. 'Had a good day going, before going down first moto connected with another rider in the air,' Haarup said on social media. 'Getting checked up and put back together. Shout out to my team for the help and the hard work! Appreciate all the positive energy!' Haarup aged out of the MXGP small bike division, and since Factory Triumph would not have their 450 ready until 2026, the decision was made to bring him to the United States for Pro Motocross. Haarup scored his first top-10 in Round 2 of the season when he was scored seventh overall with results of 10th in Moto 1 and ninth in Moto 2. His first top five came on the Fourth of July weekend in the RedBud National with a fourth-place result overall. In total, Haarup earned seven top-10s and an 11th in 10 rounds of 2025, which allowed him to rise in the SuperMotocross standings quickly. Despite failing to earn any points in Unadilla, Haarup left the track 13th in the combined SuperMotocross standings with an 84-point advantage over the cutline, so his invitation to the playoffs was guaranteed. The first round of the playoffs begins on September 6 at zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina, and while the team has not stated outright that he is done for the season, collarbone injuries typically take longer to recover from than the time available. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. exits with hamstring tightness in potential Blue Jays injury concern
Just as the Yankees won back-to-back series and started to chip away at the Blue Jays' American League East lead, Toronto might have a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. injury to worry about. Guerrero, the Blue Jays' superstar first baseman, exited Monday's game after the sixth inning with hamstring tightness and will undergo an MRI exam, manager John Schneider said postgame. 'Hopefully he's good to go in the next day or two,' Schneider said, according to The Athletic, 'but he's obviously really important.' Getty Images Schenider said the injury occurred when Guerrero was making a split in the field in the third inning, but the broadcast also captured him talking to someone in the dugout during the first inning while pointing at his left hamstring. Guerrero's acrobatic play in the third occurred on a throw from shortstop Bo Bichette to first base, helping the Blue Jays record an out with the Pirates' Jared Triolo running. IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect Ty France replaced Guerrero — who has appeared in 124 of the Blue Jays' 126 games in 2025 — in the lineup for the remainder of the game. While the severity will remain unclear until the results of the MRI exam, any time Guerrero misses with the injury would be devastating for a Toronto team that holds a five-game lead in the East over the Yankees and Red Sox after falling, 5-2, to Pittsburgh. 3 Vladimir Guerrero Jr. singles during the Blue Jays' Aug. 17 game. Imagn Images Advertisement Guerrero, who signed a 14-year, $500 million extension in April, had hit .300 with an .898 OPS, 21 homers and 68 RBIs this season entering Monday, when he struck out in his first at-bat before driving in a run — via a groundout — two frames later. After a slow start to the year, the Blue Jays pieced together one of the best stretches in the majors this season to surge past the Yankees in the division standings and build an advantage ahead of the stretch run. But the Yankees, following a brutal two months, have finally uncovered a bit of momentum, as they swept the Cardinals over the weekend after taking two of three games from the Twins. They start a two-game set with the Rays on Tuesday in Tampa, while the Blue Jays — as they hold their breath about Guerrero's status — continue a series with Pittsburgh.
