TV BRICS to Present Programme for Promoting Russian Agricultural Exports in BRICS+ Countries
The TV BRICS International Media Network will support the promotion of Russian agro-industrial products in the foreign markets of BRICS+ countries, according to TV BRICS.
At the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a corresponding cooperation agreement was signed by Chairman of TV BRICS Ivan Polyakov and Director of the Federal Centre for Agricultural Export Development of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia (FSBI "Agroexport") Ilya Ilyushin.
The joint activities of the partners will aim to build a positive image of Russia's agricultural sector in the global information space by showcasing national industry-leading companies, promoting Russian products abroad, and involving agricultural and processing enterprises in export activities.
"Media play an important role in supporting Russia's agro-industrial complex, helping to promote products in foreign markets and form a positive image of the industry. Today we face a crucial task – to develop a global dialogue among friendly nations. "I am confident that cooperation with TV BRICS will enable us to promptly deliver all necessary information about the development of trade relations among BRICS countries to a multibillion audience," said Ilya Ilyushin, Head of the Federal Centre "Agroexport.

Ivan Polyakov also announced the upcoming premiere in 2025 of a new television project, "BRICS GRAIN", aimed at sustainable agricultural development, support for agricultural diplomacy, and strengthening cooperation between Russia and the countries of the Global South and East.
The Federal Centre "Agroexport" is a knowledge and competence hub in the field of agricultural exports, established by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
It coordinates and monitors the implementation of the federal project "Agro-Industrial Exports", as well as cooperates with agro-industrial management bodies in the implementation of regional projects and the development of Russia's export potential.
"Agroexport" possesses unique expertise in foreign market analysis, trade barrier assessment, product promotion and positioning, consultancy on state support programmes for agro-industrial exporters, and the organisation of export-related events.

Standard Chartered launches its direct custody services in Egypt - Economy
Standard Chartered has announced the launch of its direct custody services in Egypt, marking a significant expansion of its global post-trade network across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, the international banking group said in a statement on Wednesday. The move aims to strengthen regional capital flows and enhance investor access to Egypt's growing financial markets. The launch builds on the bank's earlier introduction of custody services in Saudi Arabia this year and reflects its strategy to deepen its footprint in high-growth, strategically important markets. Operated through Standard Chartered Egypt, the service enables institutional clients to hold and manage a variety of securities with greater efficiency, transparency, and security. The offering covers equities, treasury bills, government bonds, and corporate bonds and includes safekeeping, settlements, and corporate action services. Clients can access these through multiple channels, including the bank's globally recognized Straight2Bank (S2B) platform. Mohammed Gad, CEO of Standard Chartered Egypt, described the launch as a key milestone in the bank's efforts to strengthen Egypt's financial infrastructure and expand investor access to the region. 'Egypt is a vital market for us, not only as a new BRICS member, but as a rising investment hub linking Africa, the Gulf, and beyond,' Gad said. 'By introducing direct custody services from day one, we are providing institutional clients with greater speed, transparency, and operational efficiency. Backed by our global platform and deep local expertise, this offering will help unlock capital flows into Egypt and support the growth of a more resilient, connected capital market.' The custody service is fully licensed by the Financial Regulatory Authority and approved by the Central Bank of Egypt. Standard Chartered said the move aligns with Egypt's wider ambitions to modernize its financial ecosystem, attract foreign direct investment, and diversify sources of capital under Vision 2030. According to the bank, growing interest from investors across Asia, the Gulf, and Africa makes this an opportune moment to offer institutional-grade post-trade solutions in Egypt. Scott Dickinson, regional head of Financing and Securities Services for Africa and the Middle East, emphasized the bank's commitment to enhancing market access in emerging economies. "Standard Chartered's expanding custody footprint across the region underlines our commitment to supporting capital markets in key emerging economies,' Dickinson said. 'By improving investor access, raising service standards, and helping attract long-term capital, we continue to play a leading role in connecting global investment to opportunity across MENA,' he added. With Egypt now part of the bank's custody network, Standard Chartered is positioned to facilitate smoother cross-border investment flows, reinforcing its role as a bridge between global investors and one of the region's most dynamic markets. Standard Chartered Bank officially commenced its banking operations in the Egyptian market in January 2024. Follow us on: Facebook Instagram Whatsapp Short link:

Russia Says Upcoming Putin–Trump Summit an Opportunity to Discuss Ukraine, Bilateral Relations
Ahmed Emam The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that the anticipated summit between President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump will provide an opportunity to address a wide range of issues, including the crisis in Ukraine and the overall state of bilateral dialogue. In a statement, the ministry emphasized that the meeting — whose date and venue have yet to be officially confirmed — could serve as a platform for both leaders to engage in "comprehensive discussions" aimed at easing tensions and exploring areas of mutual interest. "From our perspective, the summit will be a chance to raise all matters on the agenda, from regional conflicts to strategic stability, with the Ukrainian crisis and the state of Russia–U.S. relations being central topics," the ministry noted. The announcement comes amid ongoing strains between Moscow and Washington over a host of geopolitical disputes, including sanctions, military deployments in Eastern Europe, and competing positions on global security issues. While no official agenda has been released, analysts suggest the meeting could mark a rare opening for direct dialogue between the two powers at the highest level, potentially influencing the trajectory of U.S.–Russia relations in the coming months. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani

Zelensky, European leaders to hold online summit before Trump-Putin meet - War in Ukraine
European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will hold online talks with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, hoping to convince him to respect Kyiv's interests when he discusses the war with Russia's Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday. Zelensky will travel to Berlin to join the afternoon video conference with the host, Chancellor Friedrich Merz, a German government source told AFP. Merz has also invited the French, British and other European leaders and the heads of the EU and NATO to take part in the talks. They are then expected to talk to Trump and Vice President JD Vance in a second round of the conference call. The Trump-Putin meeting on Friday is so far planned to go ahead without Zelensky. This has fuelled fears Kyiv could be forced into painful concessions, including over land. EU leaders stressed on Tuesday "the inherent right of Ukraine to choose its own destiny", adding that "international borders must not be changed by force". Zelensky, speaking to reporters Tuesday, ruled out withdrawing troops from the Donbas region which Moscow claims. Merz's office said the conference call would discuss "further options to exert pressure on Russia" and "preparation of possible peace negotiations and related issues of territorial claims and security". The talks would include leaders from "Finland, France, the UK, Italy, Poland, Ukraine, the heads of the European Commission and Council, the secretary general of NATO, as well as the US president and his deputy", Berlin said on Monday. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and Merz are then also set to hold a round of talks of the so-called Coalition of the Willing of Ukraine's military backers. - 'Difficult' battles - Trump on Monday played down the possibility of a breakthrough in Alaska but said he expected "constructive conversations" with Putin. "This is really a feel-out meeting a little bit," Trump said at the White House, but he also added that eventually "there'll be some swapping, there'll be some changes in land". Russia, as a prerequisite to a peace settlement, has demanded Kyiv pull its forces out of several regions claimed by Moscow, commit to being a neutral state, shun US and EU military support and be excluded from joining NATO. Ukraine has said it would never recognise Russian control over its sovereign territory, though it acknowledged that getting land captured by Russia back would have to come through diplomacy, not on the battlefield. Ukraine said Tuesday it was engaged in "difficult" battles with Russian forces after Moscow had made rapid advances in a narrow but important section of the front line in the country's east. Zelensky said on social media that "we see that the Russian army is not preparing to end the war. On the contrary, they are making movements that indicate preparations for new offensive operations."
