TNT SPORTS have announced the return of a newly unemployed Premier League star as part of their punditry line-up for the Community Shield.
Premier League champions Liverpool lock horns at Wembley with FA Cup winners Crystal Palace in the broadcaster's first match of the season.

Sunday's clash at Wembley will be the first time the Community Shield will be broadcast on TNT, after a new four-year deal was announced earlier this week, removing the rights from ITV.
But a new broadcaster will not be the only change, as regular TNT viewers will notice a new line-up of pundits for its coverage of the match.
West Ham legend Michail Antonio will be adding his expert analysis to the coverage in his first appearance since he was released from the club after 10 years.
He will appear alongside TNT regular Steve McManaman and debutant Joel Ward, who will be representing the Liverpool and Crystal Palace contingents of the punditry lineup.
Fara Williams and Joe Cole will also be involved, as well as commentary box regulars Ally McCoist and Darren Fletcher returning to their roles.
This will not be the first time Antonio has formed part of TNT's presenting line-up, most recently appearing pitch-side at the Conference League final between Chelsea and Real Betis.
Antonio already made headlines this week after he was released by West Ham, following 10 years at the club.
In his time with the Hammers, he scored 83 goals in 323 appearances.

However, the 35-year-old's career came to an abrupt end following a horrific car crash.
On December 7, Antonio was driving through Epping Forest during stormy weather when he lost control of his Ferrari and crashed into a tree.

As a result, the Jamaican did not make another appearance for West Ham at senior level, despite attempts to return to fitness.
A week before his release was confirmed, Hammers boss Graham Potter alluded to the potential end of the Jamaican international's tenure, saying he would not likely be involved in the squad this season.
Antonio's presence in the punditry line-up comes as part of a major shake-up for the broadcaster, as longstanding pundit Rio Ferdinand will no longer be involved - to be replaced by Gareth Bale.
Ferdinand announced the end of his 10-year relationship with the broadcaster at the end of last season.

He said: "After 10 incredible years, I have made the difficult decision to step away from TNT Sports after the Champions League final.
'Since retiring from football it has been a privilege talking about the game I love for a decade for sports fans watching on BT Sports and TNT Sports.
'I want to acknowledge the tremendous support from the team behind the scenes, whose hard work often goes unseen, but has been essential to our success."
Bale has been announced as the permanent punditry replacement for Ferdinand on TNT for the whole of the season.

Boost for Shelbourne as Uefa approve Tolka Park for Conference League play-off

SHELBOURNE HAVE RECEIVED a huge boost ahead of their Uefa Conference League play-off after it was confirmed that the home leg will be played at Tolka Park. It's understood that upgrades made to the stadium as well as the operational aspects of how the League of Ireland champions have managed their European games so far have been enough to convince Uefa delegates to grant a licence for the Drumcondra venue. Advertisement It had been anticipated that Shels would have to move the home leg of their Europa League third round qualifier with Rijeka last night to Tallaght Stadium in order to meet ground regulations and requirements from the governing body. However, Tolka also won the seal of approval for that tie and despite losing the game they did enough with how the event was run to keep such a crucial fixture on their own patch. St Patrick's Athletic, for example, had to move last week's Conference League home tie with Besiktas to the home of Shamrock Rovers and it has traditionally been the case for League of Ireland teams – other than the Hoops – who make it beyond the second round of Europe to move their home fixture. Shels are now due to play at Tolka next Thursday (21 August) against the winner of Linfield and Vikingur with the away leg on 28 August. The Irish League side trail 2-1 from the first leg and should David Healy's side produce a comeback it will be a repeat of the All-Ireland derby from the first round of this year's Champions League qualifiers earlier this summer.

Ex-Premier League star and FA Cup winner jailed for seven years for drug smuggling plot

"They were only concerned with making large amounts of money' Former Premier League star and FA Cup winner Ronnie Stam has been sentenced to seven years in prison after being found guilty of drug smuggling. The former Wigan Athletic defender, who won the FA Cup with the Latics in 2013, had plotted to import 700kg worth of cocaine from Chile. Stam, who won the Dutch title with FC Twente with ex-England boss Steve McLaren as manager, had played a 'determining and coordinating role,' a court ruled. He remained in contact with the shipment owner in Dubai with the drugs set to arrive in Rotterdam before being intercepted in Chile. Stam, who was also aided by his brother, must both pay a €30,000 fine and have around €1.7million in criminal proceeds confiscated, according to De Telegraaf. Ronnie Stam News in 90 Seconds - August 13th A judge said: "They were only concerned with making large amounts of money' after Stam and other family members were arrested on June 10 of last year. The prosecution asked for the judge to give Stam a 13-year sentence but he was found not guilty of two of the more serious charges. The former Dutch title-winner was instead convicted of smuggling 724kg of cocaine into the Netherlands in addition to MDMA and possession of laughing gas (nitrous oxide). Stam admitted to being involved in a plot to smuggle 20kg of cocaine to Frankfurt from Brazil. Stam insisted that was the extent of his involvement in the plot and confessed to regretting becoming involved with criminals. The former footballer retired from playing back in 2016 before turning to crime. He will have to repay £1.7m in illegally gained profits as part of his punishment in addition to the seven year prison sentence. Stam was formerly part of the Feyenoord academy before returning to boyhood club NAC Breda in 2002. He later joined FC Twente and won the 2009/10 Eredivisie title. Stam came through Feyenoord's academy before returning to NAC Breda, later winning the Eredivisie with FC Twente under Steve McClaren in 2010. He joined Wigan that summer, making 73 appearances and featuring in their FA Cup run, though not in the final. He went on to play for Standard Liège and NAC Breda before retiring in 2016 due to injuries. Capped once by the Netherlands, Stam made 358 senior appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 26 assists.

Liverpool icon heaps praise on Caoimhin Kelleher

Caoimhín Kelleher was widely seen as one of the best backup goalkeepers in the Premier League during his time at Liverpool. This summer, the Irish shot-stopper finally left the shadow of Alisson Becker and is preparing for his first season as a number one in the big leagues with Brentford. While Liverpool fans were disappointed to see him leave Anfield, the move is definitely progressive for his career. Kelleher completed a move to Brentford this summer. Pic:Another former Reds goalkeeper who knows a thing or two about delivering on the big stage is Jerzy Dudek. Dudek played 186 times for Liverpool but is easily best known for his penalty shootout heroics in the 2005 Champions League final in Istanbul. The former Poland stopper has heaped praise on Kelleher for his time at Anfield but believes that Arne Slot has another very good backup in Giorgi Mamardashvili. The Georgian signed for Liverpool from Valencia last August but played the 2024/25 season at the Spanish club. Dudek believes that Mamardashvili will be a key player for the Premier League winners this season, similarly to how Kelleher was over the past couple of years. Dudek was Liverpool's hero in 2005. Pic: Richard Sellers/Sportsphoto/Allstar via Getty Images He told the official Liverpool website: 'I think we have two really good goalkeepers. We also had two really good goalkeepers because Kelleher was absolutely amazing when he had the opportunity to play because Alisson couldn't, and this is what you need. 'You know from the past that the competitions are long, there are many, many games to come. You never know what is going to happen and you need two good goalkeepers. 'Alisson is, in my opinion, one of the best goalkeepers in the world and he is the No.1 and then Mamardashvili, he can be a really good replacement. He has got all the capacities to be at the top of the game, which absolutely we need. 'For every position you need to have a good replacement, especially in goal.' Kelleher made 46 appearances for Liverpool over the last two seasons. Kelleher earned seven winner's medals at Liverpool. Pic: Liverpool FC/Liverpool FC via Getty Images Last year, he played 10 times in the Premier League and another 10 times across the FA Cup, EFL Cup and Champions League. Dudek continued: 'So far, from what I have seen, the relationship between the goalkeepers here is very good and I hope it stays like that because there are so many competitions and everyone will get a chance. 'It's not like it used to be where one goalkeeper could play 300 games in a row! It is nothing like this anymore so now you will get the chance to play.' During his time at Liverpool, Kelleher kept 24 clean sheets in 67 appearances. He is also a record-holder, having won the most penalty shootouts of any Liverpool goalkeeper with four. Kelleher joined the Reds from Cork side Ringmahon Rangers in 2015 and earned seven winner's medals at the club. Giorgi Mamardashvili is Liverpool's new backup goalkeeper. Pic: Joe Prior/Visionhaus via Getty Images Dudek, who also joined Liverpool from a foreign league, believes that adapting to the Premier League will be a challenge for new man Mamardashvili. He added: 'The game is quicker. There is much more pressure on the player and he will probably find that out very soon! 'There is much more pressure on the goalkeeper, especially now when you are trying to build the play with your feet but also with crosses, and this is a huge difference between the Premier League and when you play in the Champions League, for example. 'It is a different style of refereeing and everything that is a foul in Europe is 'play on' in England. As a goalkeeper you have to accept it and be strong in your mind that it doesn't matter what is going to happen, you need to deal with it. 'I found this out at the beginning when I joined Liverpool and realised I had to adapt. I didn't accept it at first but you have to be really strong and you need to respect it because it is the same for everyone.'
