WWE SmackDown May 16: Triple H plants the seed for a feud between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa

Time of India17-05-2025

WWE SmackDown May 16: Solo Sikoa addressed the WWE Universe in the opening segment of WWE SmackDown and introduced them to Jeff Cobb, who made his debut at Backlash. He then took a dig at Roman Reigns, his cousin, for 'ruining' the family name by losing to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40 and vowed to rectify. This, however, did not go down well with Jacob Fatu.
Jacob Fatu takes exception to Solo Sikoa's words
Solo Sikoa projected himself as the leader and pride of his family on SmackDown and even implied that he was responsible for Jacob Fatu being the US Champion. 'The Samoan Werewolf' took exception to this and said that he plans to continue his reign with or without him. Solo then cut him short and asked him to show his loyalty to him again.

This led to tension between the two men. LA Knight's music and the issues were seemingly forgotten. 'The Megastar' then pulled JC out of the ring and assaulted him for costing him the US title at Backlash.
Jacob Fatu to turn face soon?
Jacob Fatu has gotten over with the WWE Universe in virtually no time. As such, a face turn is on the cards. Given what happened on SmackDown, there is a strong chance of Solo Sikoa and JC eventually turning on him. This would lead to a long feud between Jacob Fatu and Solo, culminating in a match at a Premium Live Event.

Roman Reigns WWE return: 'OTC' to replace controversial star in Money in the Bank match and teach Seth Rollins a lesson?

Roman Reigns WWE return: The Money in the Bank Premium Live Event (PLE) is almost upon us. The show will be held in Inglewood on June 7. It will feature the titular match in which six men from Raw and SmackDown will lock horns to secure the coveted briefcase that guarantees them the right to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship or the Undisputed Championship at a time and place of their choosing. The participants are LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, El Grande Americano, Andrade, Seth Rollins, and Penta. One of these stars, however, may not make it to the match if Roman Reigns has his way. Roman Reigns to give Seth Rollins the shock of a lifetime? Reigns has not been seen on WWE programming since the Raw after WrestleMania 41 when Bron Breakker speared him through the barricade. In doing so, 'The Unpredictable Badass' aligned with the OTC's arch-rival Seth Rollins. Rollins, who has since then been joined by Bronson Reed, plans to capture the briefcase and change the landscape of the company forever. His plans may, however, go for a toss if Reigns finds a way to insert himself into the marquee match and win it. Hypothetically, he could do so by taking out and replacing El Grande Americano in the contest. The 'legendary luchador' has been a nightmare for masked wrestlers ever since his debut a few months ago. Many believe that Raw's Chad Gable is under the mask, which makes this character all the more controversial. As such, taking out such a notorious re-establish Reigns as a face (good guy) and add some much-needed star power to the marquee ladder match. Going down this route will help Reigns reignite his personal rivalry with Seth Rollins and possibly teach his faction a lesson. Inserting Reigns into the match will also allow the WWE to revisit (even if briefly) OTC's chequered past with his cousin Solo Sikoa, who had him removed from The Bloodline. That said, this angle is purely speculative as things stand. Why does Roman Reigns hate Seth Rollins? Reigns and Seth Rollins were once part of the group called The Shield, which ruled the WWE. 'The Visionary', however, betrayed him many years ago. This led to the downfall of their relationship. Things hit rock bottom at WrestleMania 41 when Paul Heyman– the former Big Dog's 'Wiseman'-- betrayed him on Rollins' orders. Heyman also stabbed his 'friend' CM Punk in the back on that fateful night. Stay ahead of the game with the latest updates, match highlights, and insider stories from IPL, cricket, WWE, and more! RAW feud set to explode as Karrion Kross accuses fan-favorite Sami Zayn of deception

Image via WWE Things are heating up on WWE RAW, and all eyes are now on Sami Zayn after a backstage confrontation with Karrion Kross sent shockwaves through the WWE Universe. In a moment that has fans buzzing online, Kross openly accused Zayn of deceiving both the WWE Universe and himself, urging him to abandon his 'good guy' image and embrace his darker instincts. The confrontation occurred shortly after Zayn's chaotic tag team match, where he and Jey Uso faced Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The match ended in a no-contest after interference from Seth Rollins and CM Punk, but it was what happened backstage that stole the spotlight. Sami Zayn & Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed ends in chaos: Raw highlights, June 2, 2025 As Zayn was icing a shoulder injury, Karrion Kross approached him, not to offer support, but to challenge his identity. Karrion Kross pushes Sami Zayn toward the edge In a sharp exchange, Kross told Zayn, 'I think you're a liar. You lie to the fans, you lie to the people at home, and worst of all - you lie to yourself.' He further claimed that Zayn could have been a ten-time world champion if only he did what he 'really needed to do.' Kross ended the segment by casting doubt: 'I might be wrong, but I might be right too.' While Sami Zayn pushed back, the seeds of doubt appeared to be planted. Fans online are speculating that this could be the beginning of a dramatic character shift for Zayn, who has long been portrayed as one of WWE's most relatable and resilient babyfaces. Social media exploded following the segment, with many praising Kross' performance while expressing concern over a potential heel turn for Zayn. 'Kross, I love you man, but we do NOT want a heel Sami run again,' one fan wrote. Others, however, were more intrigued: 'Sami gonna turn heel after how many people Kross has turned heel?' posted another. The crowd reaction to Kross has also been surprisingly strong in recent weeks, with fans calling for him to get more in-ring time. What's next for Sami Zayn and Karrion Kross? With Kross gaining momentum as a manipulative force on RAW, all signs point to a brewing conflict - or transformation. Sami Zayn has long been seen as a resilient fan-favorite, but Kross' psychological pressure is starting to chip away at that image. Zayn's return storyline has included alliances with Jey Uso and CM Punk, but recent tension suggests deeper cracks. Kross' pointed words may have struck a nerve, forcing Zayn to confront parts of himself he's long tried to bury. Fans are already speculating that a heel turn is imminent. The groundwork is there - frustration, doubt, and now, public confrontation. Whether Zayn resists or gives in, his next move could mark a major shift in WWE's current narrative. As RAW continues, this feud seems poised to explode. And if Zayn does embrace the darker path Kross is pushing him toward, it could redefine both superstars in the weeks ahead.
