The Cork native shared a screenshot of the fraudulent article over on Instagram to warn her fans to not fall for it.
She wrote: "Stating the obvious, this is a scam. Didn't even have abs like that as a teen!"
Elaine posted the real photo "for context" which they had photoshopped and said: "No washboard or scary claws."

The 47-year-old then pulled her top up for a quick snap to reveal what her stomach really looks like.
She said: "Current belly situation for your information."
Elaine jokingly added: "Is the universe trying to tell me something?"
This isn't the first time Elaine has been the target of fake advertisements circulating online that are using her to sell products.

They even posted a link to the product with a discount code.
Elaine was left fuming that they made up false claims about her body and shared screenshots of the post on Instagram saying: "Scam please report if you see this page.

Reality star Marco Pierre White Jr has confessed to a number of burglaries — including the theft of £1,500 (€1,700) worth Jellycat toys. The troubled son of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White appeared at Isleworth Crown Court via video link from HMP Wandworth, where he pleaded guilty to four counts of burglary and one count of criminal damage. He said: 'if the Crown does not accept it, a trial will be set for March 16 next year.' Speaking to the reality star, the judge said he was adjourning the case for two weeks but 'will have to be sentenced at some point' for the serious offences he had pleaded guilty to.
