Rap superstar cancels previously postponed tour dates

Drake has canceled his Australian and New Zealand shows five months after the gigs were originally postponed. Ticketholders learned the remainder of the Anita Max Win Tour was canceled on Tuesday, July 29 (Australia time). 'Live Nation Australia regrets to inform you that the previously postponed Drake shows in Australia and New Zealand have now been officially cancelled,' a statement from Live Nation read. 'Despite extensive efforts to find a solution, rescheduling within the necessary timeframe was not possible,' it continued. 'Drake remains committed to returning and performing these shows when his schedule permits.' Anyone who bought tickets for the shows will be refunded. Ticketholders should check their email for information on the refund process, Live Nation said. Originally announced in November 2024, Drake's Anita Max Win Tour was the rapper's first visit to Oceania since 2017, according to Billboard. The 16-date sold-out tour started in February 2025 with shows in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. While the tour was supposed to end in early March, it was announced on Feb. 26 that the remaining four gigs had been postponed due to a 'scheduling conflict.' Drake's representatives wrote in a statement at the time that the rapper's team was 'actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows,' Rolling Stone AU/NZ reported. Dennis Quaid, 71, gives rare insight into 39-year age gap with wife Laura Savoie, 32

Dennis Quaid's relationship isn't so far from heaven. 'My life is paradise,' Quaid, 71, told Fox News Digital when asked what he loves most about his wife, Laura Savoie, 34. 'Every day is paradise with her. It really is.' 'It's the closest relationship I've ever had with anybody,' the 'Parent Trap' actor went on. 'Every day is paradise. What can I tell you? I don't know why God had waited so long to bring her, for her to come along, but [I'm] really glad he brought her into my life, or I walked into hers.' They first met in 2019 while at a business event and got engaged in Hawaii that year. Quaid told Extra at the time that the proposal 'happened on the very northernmost point of Oahu, at Turtle Bay.' 8 Dennis Quaid and Laura Savoie pose together at a Loretta Lynn event in Nashville on Oct. 30, 2022. It was very much a surprise,' the 'Reagan' vet continued. 'I had the ring in my pocket… It has been kind of a month-and-a-half plan… I wanted it to be private.' Quaid added that Savoie was 'actually taking a selfie of us, and I put the ring in front and said, 'Will you marry me?'' After their wedding, the star couldn't help but gush over his special day. Getty Images 'It was beautiful,' Quaid told People about their nuptials. 'Just looking into her eyes, she was the most stunning bride.' 'I just love who she is as a person,' he went on. 'Her character, her intelligence, of course, her beauty. And her point of view of the world.' Savoie, for her part, echoed her husband's sentiments, stating, '[I have] never met someone who is so in love with life. It's like nothing can bring him down. Just getting to do life with someone who lives that way is inspiring for me. It changes my perspective and it brings so much joy to every day.' Getty Images And just last year, Quaid made it clear he doesn't notice the age difference between the pair. 'I haven't spoken out about the age difference of my wife,' he said to Fox News Digital. 'Other people have. But…I really don't think about it. She's got so much going on that, you know, I just don't notice it. She's just, she's the light of my life.' 'I wasn't looking for it, and she came along, and it's God put us together.' 8 Dennis Quaid and Kimberly Buffington in LA on April 11, 2006. Getty Images Following Quaid's 2019 engagement to the Texas McCombs School of Business alum, he admitted to The Guardian that the chatter around their age difference was 'really a laugh.' 'I didn't go out looking for an age gap or someone really younger than me. I met her at a business event and then the relationship developed,' he expressed. 'You have no control over who you fall in love with. I don't fall in love easy. But I can't let what a few people think control all that. I've been married three times and this is the final one, I know it is. I feel like I have a real partner in life.' Advertisement Quaid was previously married to actress P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983. He then tied the knot with Meg Ryan in 1991. The exes welcomed son Jack, 33, before splitting in 2001. 8 Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid attend the premiere of Quaid's film 'Savior' on October 27, 1998. 'It turned out so far so good. Jack really turned out well. I'm really proud of him, and Thomas and Zoe too.'

Forget The Studio –Seth Rogen's other Apple TV+ show is back next

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. I'm a huge fan of Seth Rogen's work with Apple TV+ – which is to say, I absolutely loved The Studio. I think it's one of the most exciting new shows for years, not least because it captures some of the spirit of Curb Your Enthusiasm with its deliberately awkward cameos and caricatures of celebrities. I'll hold my hands up, though, and admit that I haven't watched the other show Rogen made with Apple TV+, which came out a good while before The Studio. In fact, Platonic is now about to get its second season, starring Rogen opposite the terrific Rose Byrne as their rekindled friendship continues with more hijinks. The show's all about the ruts that we can find ourselves in as adult life takes its toll – it's not very hard to wake up and realise that you haven't actually spoken to someone you used to call one of your best friends for years. The first season saw Rogen and Byrne's characters reconnect and realise that they still had more in common than they might have thought. Now, their friendship might just be going to the next level in a new season. It'll feature the two of them trying to make their relationship less exclusionary to their partners and friends, folding them into activities in an attempt to retain a healthy balance between the various parts of their lives. Image 1 of 5 Image 2 of 5 Image 3 of 5 Image 4 of 5 Image 5 of 5 As glimpsed in the teaser trailer last month, that'll involve going golfing with disastrous consequences, but also Rogen attempting to bond with Byrne's gym-happy fitness enthusiast of a partner, and the start of "couple's dinners" to cement things. It's a balancing act that will clearly leave a lot of room for slapstick, too. So, I know what my job is now – I've added the first season of Platonic to my watchlist on Apple TV+ (which I think is the best streaming service going), and I'll be trying to catch up with it when I have a chance. The new season starts on 6 August, so I'm not sure I'll make that date, but it's nice to know I've got more goodness in store. Solve the daily Crossword
