BREAKING: Magesi FC replace Owen Da Gama with John Maduka
Maduka, formerly of Royal AM, takes over from Owen Da Gama who helped Magesi FC avoid relegation last term.
The news of Da Gama's departure from Magesi FC shocked the majority of the football fans given his hard work.
Now, Magesi FC are adamant that they have found the right man for the job in Maduka who did wonders with Royal AM.
The former Malawi international had been unemployed since the expulsion of Royal AM from the PSL at the start of the year.

Magesi FC announces John Maduka as new coach ahead of 2025/26 season
MAGESI FC have hired Malawian John Maduka as their new coach for the upcoming Betway Premiership 2025/26 season. The Limpopo outfit revealed the former Royal AM coach, Maduka as their new coach on their social media platform X. " HE'S HERE! Maduka replaces Owen da Ga who could not reach an agreement with the club on the terms of a contract renewal after he saved the club from relegation. Da Gama joined Magesi in December as a replacement for Clinton Larsen who had earned the club promotion and even led them to winning the Carling Knockout, courtesy of a shock 2-1 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns. Larsen and the club parted ways as the Magesi struggled for good results in the league campaign. Under Da Gama, they did not really do much better although their ability to avoid defeats at their new home of Seshsgo Stadium - they were previously using the old Peter Mokoba Stadium as their homeground - they garnered enough points to avoid the drop. They finished in 13th place to retain their elite league status. Now Maduka, the former Malawian international who was in charge of Royal AM, takes over the baton and expectations from Dikwena. His mandate will be that he helps the team end much higher than the precarious 13th place. Maduka was with Royal AM whose season ended prematurely due to club owner Shaun Mkhize's troubles with the South African Revenue Services. He previously coached Bloemfomtein Celtic. Details of his contract will be revealed at the press conference coming up in the afternoon.

New look Lakers aim to capture 18th championship for LA
The Los Angeles Lakers have opted to make some moves this offseason. The Lakers, who are giants of the National Basketball Association (NBA), are aiming to maximise the time LeBron James has left before he considers retirement. Luka Dončić will also be entering his second season in Los Angeles and fans will be expecting more of this team than what they saw transpire this season. The Lakers have been struggling without a dominant presence in the paint. Their weaknesses at the centre position has seen them fall short of glory ever since their championship win in the Covid-19 bubble season in 2020. The King, LeBron James, will return for his 23rd season, and one of the best offensive weapons in the NBA, Dončić, should display maturation. The Slovenian sniper has also been increasing his conditioning, which should see him become more of a threat. The Lakers have added a former number one draft pick in the form of Deandre Ayton. Ayton has been signed to a two-year deal, giving the franchise the edge they have lacked in the interior. Ayton joins a frontcourt that includes Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Maxi Kleber. Austin Reaves and Bronny James add depth and shooting to the backcourt. Dalton Knecht who surpassed all expectations last season as a dynamic wing player along with Christian Koloko, a versatile seven-footer, provide the team with more two way weaponry. The Lakers have also ensured to keep a few veterans like Shake Milton, Markieff Morris, and Gabe Vincent as rotation players. Head coach and former three-point savant for an array of teams, JJ Redick, will look to lead his team through a deep Playoff run as the Lakers have not been able to get by the first round in two years. The Lakers' front office is focused on size, shooting and defensive fortitude.
