
NINE Orlando Pirates players make final Bafana squad
Orlando Pirates are strongly represented in the latest Bafana Bafana squad for friendlies in early June. Nine players are in there.
Sipho Chaine, Deano van Rooyen, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Simphiwe Selepe, Thalente Mbatha, Patrick Maswanganyi, Rele Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota are the nine selected. Evidence Makgopa and Tshegofatso Mabasa were in the preliminary group but didn't make the final cut.

Orlando Pirates have taken to X to say farewell to former Marumo Gallants midfielder Miguel Timm. The 33-year-old has become a bit-part player in the Bucs engine room. Thalente Mbatha and Makhehlene Makhaula are the preferred duo, while even attacking midfielder Kabelo Dlamini has been used in a more withdrawn role ahead of Timm. Meanwhile, Innocent Maela got a rare start as Pirates drew 1-1 with Magesi in their final Betway Premiership clash of the campaign. It was Maela's swansong appearance after which he got a standing ovation and sendoff by the home fans. Patrick Maswanganyi opened the scoring for the Buccaneers in the 7th minute, and Zimbabwean veteran Edmore Chirambare equalised for the visitors on 32 minutes.

Dale Steyn to be a FATHER 'any day now'
Proteas great Dale Steyn will soon have changing nappies among his daily duties after confirmation he'll soon be a FATHER for the first time. Steyn's long-time partner, South African professional surfer Tanika Hoffman, took to Instagram to post that she was 'about to pop'. Hoffman wrote: 'Been a little quiet on here lately….but here I am 🙋🏽♀️ about to pop 🙂 living life in a slight state of anticipation. We can't wait to meet you little one 🥰❤️' The post included a series of images of Steyn and Hoffman as well as members of her family. Steyn replied to the post saying: 'The most beautiful ❤️' In early January, Hoffman posted 'Ended 2024 on a high 🥰 Looking forward to our most exciting journey yet ❤️' which quickly led to a flood of congratulatory messages. Dale Steyn, who will turn 42 on 27 June 2025, played the last of his 93 Tests for South Africa in February 2019. He took a record 439 wickets at an average of 22.95. Orlando Pirates transfer news: Nemtajela, and Mashiloane
It's been confirmed. Two new players are coming to Orlando Pirates, while two others have said goodbye. Orlando Pirates are set to make their official announcements in the coming weeks. Some of the names will include Tshepho Mashiloane and Masindi Nemtajela. The duo will fill the right-back and central midfield positions ahead of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership. Kaizer Chiefs news: FOUR players GONE
This winter's transfer window is expected to so telling for Kaizer Chiefs. As early preparations, the Betway Premiership giants have part ways with four players. While two of the departed players are from the reserve team that plays in the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC), they are not just any pair. The dou are the superstars that were destined for promotion.
