The Weeknd Joins Taylor Swift, Drake And Bad Bunny With A New Top 10
The Weeknd is once again one of the most successful artists in the world. That's always the case, but now an important chart proves it.
The Canadian superstar recently released a new full-length, and now he's back inside the top 10 on one of Billboard's most competitive charts. He joins one of the biggest names in hip-hop, and together, they score a global hit – and The Weeknd reaches a new milestone that only a handful of artists have approached.
The Weeknd's new song 'Rather Lie' launches at No. 6 on the Billboard Global 200. The track is fronted by rapper Playboi Carti, and it's one of the highest-debuting titles on the roster that ranks the most-consumed cuts throughout the entire world, as the tally focuses on both streams and sales.
As 'Rather Lie' starts at No. 6, The Weeknd claims his fifteenth top 10 on the Billboard Global 200. That's a feat only a handful of musicians have accomplished since the chart was launched in 2020.
He becomes just the fifth act in history to land 15 top 10s on the list, joining a small but extremely successful group of artists. Drake leads all artists with 35 appearances in the top tier, while Taylor Swift follows close behind with 33. Bad Bunny has now pushed 25 cuts into the region, and 21 Savage comes in just ahead of The Weeknd, with 16.
Despite having sent 15 songs into the top 10 on the Billboard Global 200, The Weeknd has only managed to lead the tally once. 'Save Your Tears,' a collaboration with Ariana Grande, landed at No. 1 in May 2021.
Several other cuts have come close. 'Blinding Lights,' arguably his signature hit, made it to No. 2. So did 'Sacrifice' and 'Die For You,' another duet with Grande.
While 'Rather Lie' is the highest-charting collaborative debut on the Billboard Global 200 this week, it's not the biggest new arrival overall. That honor belongs to another Carti track. His solo release 'Evil Jordan' starts off at No. 4, besting even his team-up with The Weeknd. Not far below them, Chappell Roan's 'The Giver' kicks off its time on the chart at No. 10.

Spanish-American singer Victoria Canal has accused a 'very powerful' man in the music industry of sexually abusing and grooming her eight years ago. Canal shared the shocking allegations in a lengthy Instagram post. 5 Victoria Canal attends the 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' premiere in NYC on May 18, 2025. WireImage 'This is something I've never spoken about publicly, and have been holding for 8 years now – it has plagued my body, spirit, and mind, in subliminal and overt ways, for my entire 20s,' Canal began on Aug. 11. 'It was only earlier this year, when I was assaulted by a stranger in a rehearsal space, that something in my subconscious awoke (including many buried memories) and helped me start to understand the effects of what happened to me,' the 'June Baby' singer continued. 5 Victoria Canal has accused a 'very powerful' man in the music industry of sexually abusing and grooming her eight years ago. Victoria Canal / Instagram 'Today, on my 27th birthday, I am choosing my own freedom by sharing this with you all,' Canal added. 'I am letting it out, to be able to let it go. This decision feels so right in my body.' Canal, who was born without the lower half of her right arm, alleged that a 'very powerful' and 'decades-older man' took advantage of her when she was just 19. Although she would not mention her alleged abuser by name out of fear of retaliation, the pop star described him as someone who appears to be a 'loving, charismatic and principled' family man with a 'very active career.' 'However, behind closed doors, this person has a history of incredibly damaging behavior across the board, and has a team of enablers around him who have fiercely protected his image, perpetuating this behavior for decades,' the 'Cake' singer wrote. 5 Victoria Canal shared the shocking allegations in a lengthy Instagram post. Victoria Canal / Instagram After taking Canal under his wing, the alleged perpetrator purportedly began to touch and take pictures of the pop star without her consent. 'These behaviors progressed over a year, slowly keeping me more isolated in a highly unfamiliar and contained environment,' Canal alleged further. 'At the time, this person made me believe that if I ever told anyone what he was doing, my career would be over before it started.' Following 'a little over a year' of the alleged sexual abuse and grooming, Canal's purported abuser 'verbally admitted' that getting her 'in this position had been his plan all along.' 5 Victoria Canal at the Los Angeles County Fair on May 3, 2025. Canal, who has been professionally linked to Coldplay's Chris Martin in recent years, also clarified that her alleged abuser was 'not among the mentors who have championed me since I got signed to a major label in 2022.' 5 Victoria Canal performs at the Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 19, 2025. 'These mentors have, among others, shown me that healthy mentorship does exist, there are men that wholly want to help, and I am so eternally grateful for that lesson.' 'Please don't entangle those people with this person,' Canal added. The Post has reached out to Canal's rep for comment.

Hozier's Historic Smash Has Finally Been Replaced At No. 1
Hozier started his career by releasing one of the biggest rock hits in recent memory. 'Take Me to Church' launched him into superstardom all around the world, and then for many years, it seemed as if it would remain his only major global smash. In 2024, the Irish singer-songwriter returned with 'Too Sweet,' which brought him back to charts globally and even helped him rise to new heights on several Billboard rankings. After a historic run on one of the company's rock rankings, 'Too Sweet' finally steps back, as Hozier is replaced by one of the hottest newcomers in music. Sombr Jumps to No. 1 Sombr leads the Hot Rock Songs chart, Billboard's list of the most consumed rock tracks in the United States. His single 'Undressed' surges from the runner-up spot to No. 1 in its twentieth frame on the tally. 'Undressed' Replaces 'Too Sweet' at No. 1 'Undressed' replaces 'Too Sweet' atop the Hot Rock Songs chart. Hozier's smash has now spent 72 frames on the genre-specific ranking — 70 of which have been in first place. That's a historic run on any Billboard roster, and even if the tune never returns, Hozier will likely forever claim one of the longest-running rock No. 1s of all time. Hozier's Smash Lives Inside the Top 10 'Too Sweet' remains a top 10 hit on five different Billboard charts at the moment, even 72 frames into its lifespan on each and every one of them. The track sits highest on the Hot Rock Songs list and also appears on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Hot Alternative Songs, Alternative Streaming Songs, and Rock Streaming Songs charts, coming in at No. 4 on the first two rosters and Nos. 8 and 10 on the latter two, respectively. Sombr Scores the Two Biggest Rock Hits Sombr has a lot to celebrate when it comes to the Hot Rock Songs chart. Not only does 'Undressed' become a No. 1, but 'Back to Friends' follows closely, as it improves from No. 3 to second place, meaning he controls the highest two spaces on the same tally. Amazingly, of the 25 spaces on the Hot Rock Songs list, Sombr fills four. In addition to his top 10s, new single '12 to 12' leaps from No. 16 to No. 13 in its second frame on the ranking, while 'We Never Dated' reenters at No. 25.

Bob Marley, Ozzy Osbourne Score Bestsellers Together
It's a relatively quiet period on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart, which ranks the bestselling full-lengths and EPs throughout the United States. The tally differs from the Billboard 200, which ranks titles based on total consumption, and not solely pure purchases. As is often the case, the highest reaches of the Top Album Sales roster are filled with new releases. But there are currently more comebacks on the roster than debuts, as several superstars and some of the bestselling full-lengths of all time find their way back to the competitive list. Ozzy Osbourne, Bob Marley and Taylor Swift Return Together 12 projects return to the Top Album Sales chart this week. The ranking only features 50 spots, so that means almost one-quarter of all rungs are filled by sets that have already spent time on the list. In some cases, the comebacks have only racked up a few stays, while others have lived on the tally for years. Here's a rundown of all of the titles that make their way back to the Top Album Sales chart this week: Renee Rapp, $uicideboy$ and Yeat Debut Only seven projects land on the Top Album Sales chart for the first time. The list is led by Reneé Rapp's sophomore full-length Bite Me, which earns the singer and actress her first leader as it opens at No. 1. Also new to the top 10 are Thy Kingdom Come by $uicideboy$ at No. 2, Dangerous Summer by Yeat at No. 3 and Live at the Legion by Billy Strings and Bryan Sutton at No. 7. Three other titles by Buddy Guy, Roger Waters, and Fit for a King also launch on the purchase-only roster in what has turned out to be something of an odd frame when it comes to sales in America.
