Six TV show reboots we are buzzing to see back on our screens
In recent years, we've had a spate of reboots of our favourite shows growing up — iCarly, Wizards of Waverly Place, That's So Raven — and Zoey 101 was rebooted by way of a movie.
This year, we've seen Lindsay Lohan reunite with her on-screen mother Jamie Lynn Curtis for a Freakier Friday sequel, but what can we expect on the TV shows front? Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek return as Malcolm's parents, Hal and Lois, with Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield also returning as Francis and Reese. Erik Per Sullivan, who played Dewey, however will not be returning for the reboot.

NBC sports drama Friday Night Lights, which was later obtained by The 101 Network, is set to be adapted into a new series by Peacock.
The American streaming service announced the plans in December 2024, with no confirmation as of yet as to when fans can expect to see the series on the screen.
The show (inspired by a book of the same name) followed saw a high school football team in a factual work of documentary journalism and ran for five seasons, ending in February 2011. The reboot was confirmed 13 years later, in 2024.
In this case, many of the show's creative team will be returning, though it has been confirmed that a whole new cast will star in the rebooted version. Hulu has commissioned the long-anticipated reboot which sees Sarah reprise her role as the vampire slayer, with Seth Green who played Oz in the original series, also returning.
At the time of writing, it hasn't been confirmed who else might be returning to the series, but there will be a new vampire slayer in town, Nova, played by Skeleton Crew star Ryan Kiera Armstrong, and she will be trained by Buffy herself.

A Harry Potter TV series is set to premiere on HBO in early 2027, with the first season of the remake based on the first book written by JK Rowling, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout and Arabella Stanton have been cast as Harry, Ron and Hermione respectively, while other castings see John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall and Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape.

Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and Donald Faison are back on our TV screens as a trio as they return for a new series of medical sitcom, Scrubs.
The American sitcom ran for nine seasons, concluding in 2008 and now, 18 years on, is set to return.
The tenth season was ordered by ABC in July of this year, with hopes that the series will premiere during the 2025-26 broadcasting season.
As well as the stars returning, executive producer Bill Lawrence also returns to his role.

Alicia Silverstone is set to return to her role as Cher Horowitz as 1995 film Clueless gets a brand new make-over — in the shape of a TV series.
The series, which will see Cher go missing, is currently in develop with Peacock with writers from Gossip Girl and Dollface joining forces to write the script.
As of yet, Alicia is the only one from the original film confirmed to be returning.

Labubu thieves made 'multiple trips' to take €25,000 worth of viral dolls
Love them or hate them, Labubu dolls are having their moment, and now they can be blamed for a rise in robberies as people try to get their hands on the limited edition, expensive toys. Police in the States retrieved €25,000 worth of the Chinese plush dolls, which had been stolen from a warehouse in California. Fourteen boxes of the Labubu dolls were taken, with police confirming the thieves had made 'multiple trips' in their attempt to cash in on the viral trend. Love them or hate them, Labubu dolls are having their moment, and now they can be blamed for a rise in robberies as people try to get their hands on the limited edition, expensive toys.
