Holly Carpenter opens up on 'intimate and chilled' wedding plans as the big day nears
Clontarf beauty Holly, who turned heads at Friday night's Style Awards in a show-stopping figure-hugging gold floor-length bespoke dress, told us that her wedding dress is dramatically different to her Style Awards creation.

Holly, who was in a jubilant mood as she danced the night away at the VIP Style Awards in the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin, told Extra.ie that the next special dress she steps into will be her wedding gown.
'So next Tuesday, we're getting married legally in Charlotte Quay Restaurant,' said bride-to-be Holly. And the excited couple's wedding venue of choice holds special meaning for the soon-to-be-wed pair.
'It's the official registry ceremony and Charlotte Quay is the restaurant where we had our first date,' she said. And her big day is to be an intimate family affair.
'Evan Doherty is doing our wedding photos. He's obviously been friends for years, and then it's just 12 of us, so it's just our closest family, and it's going to be really intimate and chilled.'
And ever the eternal optimist, Holly said nothing is going to rain on her wedding parade.
'The forecast looks like it might be raining, but it was raining on my mum and dad's wedding day, and it's apparently good luck. So if it's raining, it's raining. I'm just really looking forward to it.' Holly's Dublin nuptials will be an emotional family affair as her father Karl, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, will be in attendance to see his only daughter marry.
'Dad is doing okay,' said Holly. 'He's up and down. It's been a lot for him, like, mentally, he's been quite anxious and stuff like that.'
But the close-knit Carpenter family are rallying round and taking extra care of their dad.
'He is powering through, and mum's been just taking incredible care of him and all of that. So we're taking it one day at a time.'

Guess who's back?… Ryan Tubridy is set to return to Irish telly but this time he'll be on Virgin Media. Ryan Tubridy is poised to make a sensational return to Irish living rooms as he is slated to appear on Virgin Media's brand new show, The Assembly. Tubs' return to the Irish broadcasting scene will be a total role reversal as, this time, he is set to go from interviewer to interviewee on the current affairs reality-style show. Virgin Media are set to launch an Irish version of The Assembly early next year, where they will see five Irish personalities being peppered with questions by young people who are neurodivergent. Earlier this month, Tubridy repaid the 150,000 'secret payment' which was at the heart of his exit from RTE more than two years ago. Speaking to a source in the upper echelons of RTE Radio towers further explained why a return could very well be on the cards. 'Whatever media people may think about Ryan, the fact of the matter is there is an enormous amount public goodwill and support for him amongst the general public. 'He's got a certain kind of a way with people, they just gravitate to Ryan in a way that not many other broadcasters have.'
