All set for 12-day Saraswati Pushkaralu from tomorrow
Hyderabad: The stage is set for yet another auspicious congregation of faith and devotion with 'Kaleeshwaram Triveni Saraswati Pushkaralu,' which is going to start from Thursday. The Telangana government has made all arrangements for a successful event which comes after every 12 years.
The government expects that the 12-day spiritual event from May 15 to 26 is set to attract lakhs of devotees and has made phenomenal arrangements for them. The Saraswati Pushkaralu happens when Guru from Rishab Rashi enters into Mithuna Rashi, which happens once in 12 years. The government is making arrangements to have a 17 feet tall stone idol of Goddess Saraswati at the Sangam Point. A 100-bedded Tent City has come up at the Triveni Sangam Point in Mahadevpur mandal in Bhupalapally district. The government is making arrangements for Saraswati Aarti during the 12 day event. Priests from Kashi are invited for the Aarti, which will be a treat to watch during the night time.
Like the Rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati converge at Prayagraj, the Godavari, Pranahita and subterranean Saraswati (Antarvahini) converge at Kaleshwaram.
According to the department officials, when water is poured on the nostrils of Muktheshwara Linga, the water flows through the earth and converges with the Godavari River. With the confluence of three rivers Pranahita, Godavari and Saraswati at the place near Kaleshwaram, the Triveni Sangham is formed.
The government anticipates that lakhs of pilgrims will visit the area during the Pushkaralu festival and has allocated sufficient funds to develop basic facilities for the devotees. A team of officials led by the secretary Shailaja Ramaiyyar visited Prayagraj to study the arrangements made during the Maha Kumbh Mela.
A special mobile application Saraswati Pushkaralu 2025 and a website www.saraswatipushkaralu.com have been provided for the benefit of the devotees visiting for the Pushkaralu. The government has allocated Rs 35 crore for taking up development works including construction of ghats, temple development keeping in mind the Godavari Pushkaralu scheduled in 2026.
The Telangana government is going to organise this Saraswati Pushkaralu festival with great devotion and grandeur. Endowments Minister Konda Surekha revealed that the department has arranged all kinds of facilities on a large scale for lakhs of devotees who will come to Triveni Sangam for holy dip and spiritual worship.
She said, 'Saraswati Homam, Rudra Homam and special pujas will be held every day in these Pushkaras in the presence of prominent priests.' Minister Konda Surekha urged everyone to participate in this historical festival.

"This initiative aims to offer both domestic and international tourists a unique, informative, and immersive journey through the state's rich history, culture and natural beauty. The core feature of the project is the introduction of QR-based audio tours that provide 5 to 7-minute storytelling experiences about the significance of each location," officials said on Saturday. Tourists can scan these codes to access the audio tours. Asserting that the effort by the state tourism department is a big step towards making tourism modern and accessible through digital technology, officials further said: "The QR codes will be linked with the Uttar Pradesh Tourism website and mobile apps (both Android and iOS), allowing easy access to the content. There will also be offline access available so that tourists can get the information even in low network areas. " To ensure the quality of the content, a team of historians, archaeologists and cultural experts from institutions like Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and the Archaeological Survey of India will review the scripts. This will ensure the information is historically accurate, culturally relevant and interesting for visitors.

Over 23 lakh took holy dip during Saraswati Pushkaralu
Hyderabad: Over 23 lakh people had a sacred bath during the Saraswati Pushkaralu, which ended on Monday at Kaleshwaram in Bhupalpally disrtict. More than one lakh people had a bath at the Triveni Sangam in Kaleshwaram on each of the 12 days with pilgrim rush peaking during the weekends. Endowment department officials and others heaved a sigh of relief as the event passed off without any untoward incident. The state government had put in place massive arrangements to ensure the success of the Pushkaralu. To bring it on par with the Kumbh Mela, the government allocated Rs 35 crore exclusively for the event. Incidentally, a team of officials, led by Secretary Shailaja Ramaiyar, had visited Prayagraj for a first-hand feel of the arrangements. This helped the state administration to come up with a meticulous planning, said a senior official from the endowments department. The official said that Pushkaralu started on a grand note with around one lakh taking a bath on the first day on May 15. The rush of pilgrims increased thereafter with the weekends drawing two to 3.5 lakh people. There was a traffic jam of over 20 km on the weekends. The official said that the Harati program on the banks of the river was a major attraction during the Pushkaralu. Artists from Kashi were specifically roped in for the Harati program, which was watched by around 47,000, including Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Meanwhile, the pilgrims also visited the Sri Kaleshwara Mukteswara Swamy temple. Approximately, 2.68 lakh laddus were distributed by the temple authorities, who also arranged for medical camps, which was taken advantage of by around 80, 000 people. The official informed that among the other works, sanitation and hygiene were given priority. Over 950 sanitation workers were deployed for cleaning the premises near the river, while about 33 NDRF and 66 SDRF personnel, 100 swimmers and 35 Singareni rescue team personnel were also deployed at the bathing ghats to prevent instances of drowning. Also manning the area were around 1600 police personnel.

Over 2 lakh take holy dip on last day of Saraswati Pushkaralu
BHUPALPALLY : More than two lakh pilgrims took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam on the last day of Saraswati Pushkaralu on Monday. A ten-kilometre-long traffic jam caused panic among pilgrims trying to reach the Pushkar Ghat. However, the police and Endowments department authorities cleared the traffic on the main road to make way. To facilitate transportation, TGSRTC officials operated a special shuttle service from various locations to the ghat for pilgrims. During the night, a group of priests from Varanasi (Kashi) offered the Saraswati Navaratna Mala Harathi, marking the conclusion of Pushkaralu. Later, district administration authorities organised a drone show at the ghats. State Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and Dharmapuri MLA and Government Whip Aduluri Laxman Kumar took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam. Following this, they visited the Kaleshwara Mukteeshwara Swamy temple and performed rituals for Lord Shiva. The temple also witnessed an overwhelming turnout of pilgrims. Jayashankar Bhupalpally District Collector Rahul Sharma and Superintendent of Police Kiran Khare took precautionary measures to ensure a smooth and peaceful conclusion to Pushkaralu.
