An Update On ‘Reacher' Season 4 And Its 2026 Release Date
Reacher season 3
Amazon
If there is one thing that's been made clear by Amazon and the success of Reacher on the service, it's that this is a show that is going to continue on forever unless Alan Ritchson leaves to go play DCU Batman, his ultimate dream. Even then, it probably still will.
There was never really any question about whether Reacher season 4 would exist, given that it was greenlit way back in October of 2024. So yes, it's happening and sure, we may even hear about season 5 at this point, as that wouldn't exactly be that much of a shock either.
We do not know which of the Reacher books will be adapted into the new season yet, and they are not going in chronological order. That's by design, as author Lee Child has said he wanted anyone to be able to jump into any Reacher book and know what was going on. The show has been a bit more connected with recurring characters like Neagley (who was not supposed to be in Persuader, the book that was adapted here for season 3), though Amazon has leaned into her to the point where she's getting her own spin-off series that is no doubt planned to air in the gap between Reacher seasons.
Reacher
Amazon
And what is that gap? No release date for season 4 has been announced, but we can infer one from past Reacher seasons. That would be:
Amazon may have learned how to streamline this process a little bit to pump out Reacher seasons faster than other streaming series. In this instance, there was a lengthy year and ten months between seasons 1 and 2. But between seasons 2 and 3, that was shorted to just 14 months, very low in the context of the industry these days.
I think we can plan on that sort of timeline again, and 14 months from the season 3 release date would be April 2026. Worst case, summer. And again, I do think the Neagley series is being designed as a sort of 'Fear the Walking Dead' type spin-off to gap-fill Reacher content between seasons. And I do wonder if Ritchson may show up there the way Neagley had 10-15 minutes or screen time this season, helping him out with his latest shenanigans.
Reacher will continue to be a huge draw for Amazon between an infinite amount of source material, being a widely accessible series and having a low production cost. I think the biggest challenge could be hanging on to Ritchson and not losing him to a bunch of movie roles, but I mean, Amazon's got money. I wouldn't be too concerned.

THE WHEEL OF TIME Showrunner Reacts to Cancellation: 'These Fans Deserve to See the Story Finished' — GeekTyrant
Rafe Judkins, showrunner of The Wheel of Time , has broken his silence following Amazon's unexpected cancellation of the fantasy series just weeks after its Season 3 finale. The news left fans stunned, especially after the show's steady performance and deeply invested audience. Judkins himself is still processing it. In an emotional Instagram post, Judkins shared: 'I wish I could say something clear and tidy that explains to all those who love it why it's coming to an end. But the truth is, I don't really understand it myself.' Judkins went on to celebrate the cast and crew as 'talented and wonderful,' and pointed out something that makes the cancellation sting even more: 'Season 3 spent nearly 20 weeks in the Nielsen Top 10 streaming chart, a feat few shows have been able to match in the last decade.' So, the show was doing very well! Judkins didn't stop at mourning The Wheel of Time , he called out a larger issue plaguing modern TV: 'There is a larger trend in TV toward fewer seasons with less episodes… I genuinely believe that this goes against the fundamental strength of television – long-form storytelling.' It's hard to argue with him. Shows that once had the runway to evolve and deepen such as Lost , Breaking Bad , The X-Files , Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and more, are now expected to make a splash in eight episodes or less. For something as sprawling and layered as The Wheel of Time , that kind of compressed storytelling just doesn't cut it. Still, there's a glimmer of hope. Judkins hinted that the show might yet defy the odds: 'One of the reasons I chose Amazon in the first place was that it had recently picked up The Expanse after SYFY axed it… Who knows, perhaps The Wheel of Time show will do what the books have always managed to do since day one – defy the traditional definitions of 'beginnings' and 'ends.' I certainly hope it does – because this book series and these fans deserve to see the story finished.' For now, there are no official plans to shop the series elsewhere, but fans aren't letting it go quietly. A petition to save the show has already gathered nearly 130,000 signatures, proving that the wheel is still turning. The question is… will someone will step up to keep it spinning?

Millennials Are Hilariously Responding To Being Called Out For The Way They Communicate Over Text
There I was, just being a millennial, enjoying my day and reminiscing about Pogs and Orbitz drinks and Beanie Babies, when suddenly, I was jolted from my "won't-ever-be-able-to-afford-to-buy-a-home" haze. Why, you ask? Well, I happened upon this blatant attack upon my generation from @gaulicsmith on Twitter (now known as X): And I quickly discovered the conversation has been happening all over the internet, including X, Threads, and Reddit. Unsurprisingly, my fellow millennials immediately felt called out. "Feeling attacked lol," said one person. "They're onto us lol first they came for our cheugy lol then our side part lol then our computer y2k crisis but they made it fashion lol" "my apartments on fire and i haven't felt joy since 2012 lol" And it will come as no surprise that millennials, the kindest generation, who have never done anything to anyone (except "kill" a bunch of industries and part our hair on the side and wear skinny jeans), quickly started apologizing, lol. Related: 50 People Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Gave No EFFS "Sorry ( ) resisting the urge..." Then they moved on to their next tactic: trying to explain themselves. "lol does not mean LAUGH OUT LOUD! It means please don't be mad at me," this person said. "CLOSE! It actually means: 'I have anxiety so say it back or I'll think you hate me.'" "It is our way of communicating tone. We are a generation of people who feel like we are always in trouble/everyone is mad at us. lol" Related: "Something's Killed Me. Please, Someone Tell My Parents": 19 Terrifying Stories From People Who Lived In Haunted Houses That Are Gonna Give Me Serious Nightmares "If I don't put lol at the end of a sentence you might get mad at me. I blame having parents raised by traumatized WWII vets." "we cannot abide someone thinking we're mad at them" And one person hilariously added, "Remember when all our Nanas thought it meant 'lots of love'?" Of course, millennials also had to get in a few solid jabs at some other generations while they were at it. "at least i don't have tiktok voice," said one. "'Lol' is to millennials as '...' is to boomers." "frfr zoomers use 'frfr' like 'loud and clear' for radio comms." "Why does Gen Z wear pajamas everywhere lol" And finally, "At least we can read lol." To my fellow millennials, just remember: If you're a millennial, what do you think? Are you going to keep using "lol" despite the harsh and entirely unfair judgment? Let us know in the comments. And if you're not a millennial, give us a break lol. (See, that's proper usage of the lol. You can't be mad at me now.)
