Katy Perry's favourite Australian food spot is revealed: 'So balanced and done superbly'

Daily Mail9 hours ago

Katy Perry 's favourite Australian food spot has been revealed - and it just so happens to be on the West Coast.
The Roar hitmaker, 40, who is currently on her Lifetimes Tour around Australia, is said to be a big fan of Perth Banh Mi shop Le Vietnam after her hair stylist raved about the haunt on social media.
'I randomly stumbled into @LeVietnamcafe in Perth, and this has got to be the best Banh Mi I've ever had — hands down,' Andrew Ly gushed in a post on Instagram.
As for Katy's verdict on the Vietnamese restaurant's Bahn Mi, according to her hair guru, it's 'the best ever she's had, so balanced and done superbly, and she's had many across the globe'.
The eatery's owner, DJ Lee, revealed to PerthNow that the popstar's stylist popped into the shop on Friday and enjoyed the meal so much that he came back the next Monday to pick up a mixed platter for Katy and her tour crew.

Katy isn't alone in her love of the unassuming Perth spot.
Le Vietnam has been visited by many A-list celebrities, including Lizzo and Ed Sheeran.
Orlando Bloom joined Katy and their daughter Daisy Dove, five, in Perth on Sunday amid rumours of trouble in their marriage.
The actor, 48, was spotted spending time with his little girl Daisy and was joined by members of Katy's entourage, including a man who appeared to be a security guard.
Katy, who performed at the Perth RAC Arena that night, did not join the group.
Ever the doting dad, Orlando carried Daisy on his shoulders as they took a stroll around the city's CBD.
Orlando dressed casually for the outing, wearing a long-sleeve printed top and matching black jeans.
He did his best to go incognito by wearing a baseball cap on his head.
Orlando's trip Down Under comes after reports that Katy and Orlando are set to have serious conversations about the state of their relationship.
From her controversial Blue Origin space flight to her absence from their Montecito, California, home due to her world tour – things have been a bit rough for the longtime couple lately.
And while rumours may be circulating about the demise of their nearly decade-long relationship, an insider told The Sun 'no one has decided it's definitely the end of the road for Katy and Orlando.'
'They both love each other, but they have been living different lives for at least a year and in different mindsets,' a source told the publication.
'But Katy especially doesn't want to just give up,' the source continued.
Katy has been in Australia for the entire month of June, with the last performance of her Lifetimes Tour Down Under on June 30 in Adelaide.

Shoppers race to buy never-before seen Cadbury Dairy Milk flavour that's dropped in B&M stores

CHOCOLATE lovers are going wild for a brand new Cadbury bar that's just landed on UK shelves and it's only available at B&M. The limited-edition Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramel Mudcake has hit the bargain retailer, and fans are already scrambling to get their hands on it. The sweet treat, which hails all the way from Australia, has never been seen in the UK before. It's part of B&M's range of imported Aussie snacks and is already causing a stir online. Foodie Instagram page @treatsinstore shared the find with followers, posting: 'OUT NOW Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramel Mudcake (Australia 🇦🇺) £2.99. Available in the UK at @bm_stores'. The flavour combines Cadbury's signature Dairy Milk chocolate with caramelised white chocolate, a gooey caramel-flavoured crème centre and crunchy choc biscuit pieces – inspired by the iconic Aussie caramel mudcake. One shopper raved: 'Looks so good." While another pointed out what a great bargain it was, saying: 'I bought two of them for £7 from an online store!' Another fan added: 'These are so nice." But you'll have to be quick – the Caramel Mudcake bar is exclusive to B&M and only available in-store, so there's no option to order online. To track one down, choc fans will need to head to their local B&M. You can use the store locator on the retailer's website to find your nearest branch. We couldn't find the Caramel Mudcake bar stocked anywhere else in the UK, making it one of the rarest Cadbury imports around right now. It follows the success of another Aussie gem B&M brought in earlier this year – the Dairy Milk Rounds. Shoppers were thrilled when the bite-sized chocs made their way onto shelves, with one fan posting their find on Facebook and others piling into the comments desperate to bag a box. One person wrote: 'Love those,' while another added: 'Yes please… yummy.' Like the new Mudcake flavour, Dairy Milk Rounds were also store-only, with no delivery option available through B&M. The Sun has contacted Cadbury to confirm whether the bar will remain exclusive to B&M. Compare prices As always, it pays to shop smart. Before snapping up novelty snacks, check comparison sites like or to make sure you're getting the best deal. Some imported treats can be cheaper from other retailers or online sweet shops – but beware of delivery fees. How to compare prices to get the best deal JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal. There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you - so don't be left paying more than you have to. Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers. Here are some that we recommend: Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results. Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock. Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one. CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of. Cadbury summer finds The Caramel Mudcake launch comes just days after Cadbury unveiled its new Dairy Milk Summer Edition bars and the Iced Latte flavour – both wrapped in cold-activated packaging that transforms in the fridge. Earlier this month, fans also spotted Dairy Milk Balls in stores, with many comparing them to the nostalgic Cadbury Tasters from the '90s. Just a few weeks ago the chocolate giant rolled out its limited-edition Twirl White Dipped bar, combining flaky Twirl layers with silky white chocolate. From iced latte Twirls to chocolate-coffee collabs with Kenco, it looks like summer 2025 is shaping up to be a choc-filled paradise for sweet-toothed Brits. How to save money on chocolate We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar. Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs... Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars. Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere. Websites like let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal. Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced. They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged. Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar. So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

See the photos that prove footy legend James Hird and his wife have their priorities right after shock marriage split

Tania Hird has proved her split with her husband James is an amicable one by having a great day out as the footy icon's new team held a ladies' day recently. The former Essendon star and coach is now director of coaching with the Port Melbourne club, where his son Tom plays - and despite their marriage falling apart, Tania was on hand to cheer on the Borough last weekend. She posted photos of her outing to Instagram along with the caption: 'A stunning Ladies Day at Port Melbourne Football Club with terrific company and warm, woollen @hairflairaus scarves,' referring to her accessories business. Tania's photos showed her cheering the players onto the ground, with one appearing to reach out to high-five her, along with a close-up of a smiling Tom taking to the field. The heartwarming post comes after James Hird's decision to get involved with Port was rumoured to be the source of some tension between him and Tania before they split. One of footy's foremost power couples, the Hirds announced the end of their 27-year marriage back in January. The Bombers legend and Tania were together through his highs as arguably the game's best player at the peak of his on-field career, to the shattering lows brought on by the Essendon drugs scandal, which broke in 2013. Incredibly, the couple - who have four children together - reportedly managed to keep their split a secret for more than a year. Shortly after their news became public, a family friend revealed to Daily Mail Australia that Hird told his friends there was no infidelity involved in the decision to go their separate ways - and that he still treasures Tania. 'He is telling friends that he will always love Tania,' the source revealed. 'James thinks she has done an amazing job of raising their kids. 'Neither one of them has cheated, there's no third party involved, but after 27 years they've simply grown apart.' Another source with ties to the Hird family said the couple were eager to keep their parting of the ways out of the spotlight until all of their children - Stephanie, Tom, Alex and William - had finished school. That source also maintained there was some tension between James and Tania over his interest in returning to the footy world as he was tied to a coaching position with Port Melbourne last year. Earlier this week, Hird opened up about his surprise move with Port. 'They've been good to Tom and I felt like I could make a difference here. To do something with your son is very special,' he told News Corp. 'This is a journey in itself, being part of Port Melbourne Football Club and trying to create a good football program where we can have some success and teach and help players learn. That's the sole purpose of doing it.' Hird says he's not thinking about coaching in the AFL after returning to commentary with Channel Nine.

Two of the AFL's biggest stars texted their coaches with an alarming message - and now you can see their VERY revealing responses

AFL stars Steele Sidebottom and Rory Lobb were recently asked to text their respective coaches on the spot with a request that should have set off alarm bells - and the responses spoke volumes about the two club bosses. As part of a prank on Channel Nine's show Players, Collingwood veteran Sidebottom and Western Bulldogs utility Lobb messaged Craig McRae and Luke Beveridge to see if they could borrow their cars for three days with zero explanation. Both were unsure what the response would be, and Lobb was visibly shocked that Beveridge - who has a reputation as a hard taskmaster - was so accommodating. 'Of course Lobby,' was Beveridge's simple reply, which came with a laughing emoji. Lobb took the emoji to mean his coach might have thought the text wasn't 100 per cent on the level. 'He said he was about to drive it over to me. Feel like he knows I'm a bit of a larrikin,' Lobb said. 'I think he knew that I was taking the p**s because I do that a little bit.' McRae's detailed reply to Sidebottom summed up his caring nature. 'Are you OK? Of course mate, you can have it as long as you need,' he began. 'I've got a guy at Ringwood Mazda (car dealership) who can get you a car if you need one longer. 'Let me know where you want me to drop it (off). Please no burnouts, I've seen you drive. Hope everything is OK.' In April, Lobb sported the AFL's worst haircut - an eye-catching electric-blue dye job - ahead of the 100-year anniversary clash against Collingwood at the MCG. The towering footy star then made that bizarre look tame in comparison by revealing a bright-red lobster dyed on his newly bleached locks. It comes as Sidebottom, 34, continues to palm away father time. He is edging towards 350 career games and has been a standout for the ladder- leading Magpies all year. Meanwhile, McRae showed his emotional side last month in an interview following the sudden passing of Adam Selwood. 'There's no book written on this stuff. We got the news and it was horrible,' McRae said as he fought back tears in a press conference after a win over Adelaide. 'We didn't really know what to do to be honest, other than maybe give it space to see where it fits with all of us. 'It's horrible, there is such sadness....'I just want to send my love to the (entire) Selwood family.'
