Drag Race star drops huge clue they've signed up for BBC Strictly in cryptic post
A Drag Race star has dropped a huge hint that they've signed up for Strictly Come Dancing 2025 - and they already have a huge connection to the show. Tayce Szura-Radix, better known mononymously as Tayce, found fame when she placed runner-up in the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK behind Lawrence Chaney.
Following this, a string of modelling gigs followed and she started hosting various slots on BBC Radio 1. She also made an appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox, but in 2024, she emerged victorious as the winner of the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special. At the time, she was paired with professional dancer Kai Widdrington and has now sparked speculation that she has signed up for the full series.
In a cryptic post on Instagram, she wrote: "Guess I was too much" and added a disco ball to her five-word statement. The performer immediately sparked speculation amongst her fans, although they remained divided on whether or not she had actually signed up. On Reddit, one fan said: "She's trying to throw off the scent" but another disagreed as he said: "Idk, it sounds to me like girlie was waiting for the call, but it didn't happen." It comes after Strictly Come Dancing's Gorka Marquez pulled out of show earlier this month.
Strictly Come Dancing's policy on past contestants returning after first 2025 star named
A third fan said: "I would be delighted to see the fab Tayce!" Others suspected that the post itself came from a place of not being selected for the full programme, as one fan pointed out on X: "Idk, I would interpret this as the opposite - she saw someone else from her Xmas special was cast and she wasn't picked, hence saying she 'guess[es] she was too much. I guess we'll see."
Olympic sprinter and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey was the first contestant confirmed for the 2025 line-up earlier on Monday. Harry, known as Nitro on the rebooted Gladiators, previously competed in last year's Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special and described his decision to return as "so nice I just had to do it twice". This prompted another fan to say of the speculation that Tayce will be taking part: "It feels odd though that they'd have 2 from the same Christmas special on
Dani Dyer, Alex Kingston and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink were then announced as the latest recruits for the upcoming series live on BBC One's The One Show on Monday.
Speaking from the studio after her reveal, former Love Island winner Dani said: "It's such a fun magical show – to be asked to do it is such an honour. I just can't wait to be able to wear (the costumes) – it's going to be so much fun."
Actress Alex, who took time out of her her holiday in Italy to speak to hosts Alex Scott and Roman Kemp, joked upon the announcement: "I was super excited but now I'm terrified."
Tayce's post comes just as EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal, who stars as Suki Panesar-Unwin on the BBC One soap, was announced as the fifth contestant set to take part.
Speaking to Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold live from the set of Albert Square on Tuesday, she said: "I have danced before,I dabbled a little bit. I did Latin and ballroom as a hobby. And I think when you've got a passion for it, you'll naturally enjoy it. I don't know if I'll be any good but I'll enjoy it! I love the Latin, I think they're just exciting and passionate dancers, aren't they? It's the drama, isn't it? We all love the drama!
In July, the BBC announced that two "incredible" new professional dancers, US-born Alexis Warr and Australian dancer Julian Caillon, would be joining the show, which starts this autumn
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are back to present with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas returning as judges.
Strictly will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer for its new series this September.

Bradley Walsh reveals The Chase 'ban' and says 'I'd be fired'
The Chase host Bradley Walsh has been presenting the ITV gameshow since it first aired in 2009 and appeared on BBC's The One Show ahead of the new series. Bradley Walsh has cautioned he'd be "fired" from The Chase if he implemented any major alterations. The cherished host, 65, has fronted the ITV quiz show since it launched in 2009, and is set to grace our screens again with a fresh series. Nevertheless, Bradley has assured viewers it won't differ from the usual format. Whilst appearing on The One Show tonight (Friday 15 August), Bradley faced questions about his hectic timetable. "You've got The Chase coming up, you've got Beat The Chasers as well, anything different we can expect from these series?" presenter Clara Amfo enquired, reports Bristol Live. Bradley promptly responded: "No they're the same, they're what you see on the tin. "I'm not allowed to do anything different, I think I'd get fired if I did anything different. "You've got to stick to the rules, and stick to the format." He continued: "You can have a laugh in between." This follows Bradley confessing he doesn't object to being perceived as "old and grumpy" whilst discussing his altered attitude towards the projects he accepts given his packed schedule. He revealed: "People say to me 'you never stop working', but here's the thing, and I tell every young performer this, 'if you enjoy the job you do, you will never do a day's work in your life'. "It's as simple as that. I try and have as much time as I possibly can off, but I just love what I do." The Gladiators host went on to tell My Weekly magazine: "As you know, the older you get, the more belligerent you get. I'm 65 now. "Do you know what age and experience brings? Freedom. Because you can say, 'Absolutely not. No, I'm not doing that. I don't want to go there'. "And people will just remark, 'He's just old and grumpy', well, that's fine by me." The Chase is available to watch on ITVX. The One Show airs weekdays from 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer

Strictly Come Dancing's Karen Hauer's 'nasty' confession about ex husband Kevin Clifton
The Strictly Come Dancing professional has now split from her third husband, Jordan Wyn-Jones. Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen Hauer has split from her fitness pro husband, Jordan Wyn-Jones. It comes after the dancer was pictured without her wedding ring last week, just 16 months after the couple married. Jordan is Karen's third husband, with her first being former dance partner Matthew Hauer and her second fellow Strictly dancer Kevin Clifton who has now been with Stacey Dooley for five years. Karen said she was 'blindsided' by how quickly Kevin moved on in 2018, and was left 'struggling to get out of bed'. The star described the break-up with Kevin as the 'toughest period of her life' and praised her rescue dog Betty for helping her through the hard times, reports The Mirror. The pair married in 2015 after meeting on the New York leg of long-running live dance show Burn The Floor in 2011. At the time, Kevin was still with his second wife, ballet dancer Clare Craze, and he had also previously married amateur Latin world champion Anna Melnikova in 2003. According to Kevin, Venezuelan pro dancer Karen was everything he had been looking for. Of that time, he once said: "I wasn't myself - a lot of friends and family were telling me that. It was just a bit of a weird time. When I met Karen, I could get on with her on a completely different level." In 2015, he proposed on stage during a performance of Burn The Floor on Karen's birthday, and they married that same year in London. But looking back, Karen said it might have been too much, too soon, telling Closer magazine: "I don't think we were ready for marriage. We were still growing as performers, as people, as lovers, and sometimes you just can't find the right way to fix things." By 2016, rumours of trouble in paradise were swirling, and Karen recently revealed that their relationship "got really nasty overnight" as she battled with her mounting jealousy. "It's six years down the line and things started going wrong, just little things, like a phone call, like, 'You didn't call me the whole day'", she told The Divorce Club podcast. Of Kevin's reaction to her challenges, she continued: "Sometimes I would get the 'You're not very kind, you're not very nice' and I was like 'What do you mean? I don't understand.' There were little attacks that we would do to each other." But according to Karen, the rot really set in when she clung on tighter to the marriage amid her own sense of insecurity - a move which only caused more rows. She explained: "Then the fights, I was getting jealous, but I was only jealous because I wasn't getting the attention that I wanted from my husband and then I didn't understand why so I started gripping, trying to pull him. 'Why are you not doing this? Why are you not doing that?' Exactly what you're not supposed to do, I just wanted answers. And then it just got really nasty overnight." They tried therapy, but Karen said there was "too much anger and emotional baggage" for it to work. And finally, they woke up one morning, looked at each other and 'knew' it was over. "Eventually we both couldn't take it anymore," she added. Kevin and Karen confirmed their split in early 2018 but continued to work together on Strictly, which understandably made moving on more difficult. Especially as Karen admitted she'd wanted to save their marriage. "I would have never let go of it. I wouldn't have never, never let go of it." She continued. "I would have liked to have fought for it and it took me a year after we separated to actually let go of him. It took me a long time to cut the umbilical cord that I had connected to him. Because it was connected for such a long time and at a completely different level than my first marriage, because this marriage was what I was always looking for." Original stars of iconic 00s horror spoof franchise return for reboot
Scary Movie fans, it's time to get excited as Regina Hall and Anna Faris have officially returned for the upcoming reboot. The first film hit the big screen in July 2000, and became a huge hit, parodying some of the biggest horrors around, including I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream, Halloween and the Blair Witch Project. Keenen Ivory Wayans directed the first two films, while Shawn and Marlon Wayans wrote and starred in them. Last year, it was announced that another instalment of the spoof franchise was on the way with the Wayans brothers on board, more than a decade after the fifth one was released. After intense speculation, Anna and Regina – who played Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks in the first four films – have now confirmed they will be returning to the fold. In a joint statement via Deadline, they said: 'We can't wait to bring Brenda and Cindy back to life and be reunited with our great friends Keenen, Shawn and Marlon – three men we'd literally die for (in Brenda's case, again.)' Unsurprisingly, fans were delighted by the announcement and flocked to social media to share their excitement for the sequel. Reddit user Sully9614 celebrated: 'The world needs Anna Faris in dumb comedies again. Excited to see these 2 again!!' 'I can't wait to see what they do with the amazing influx of horror we have had the last few years,' TakedownMoreCorn cheered. Fontainesmemory commented: 'For me personally they litrealyl couldn't make this without Regina lol she was sooo funny [sic].' As Radioactivetoon added: 'Regina Hall is the real star of this series. She's absolutely hilarious. Without her, it's not the same. I'm glad she's back.' According to the outlet, the Wayans brothers are penning the script with Rick Alvarez, with untitled Scary Movie 6 project slated to be released next June. The first Scary Movie followed a group of teenagers accidentally hitting a man with their car and dumping his body in a lake – before they find themselves stalked by a killer in a Ghostface mask a year later. It raked in more than $270million at the global box office and spawned an entire series, with Scary Movie 2 released the following year. Marlon confirmed their involvement in the sixth instalment last year, posing with a Ghostface parody in a picture. 'WE'RE BACK!!! After nearly 20 years, the Wayans brothers are finally going to give the fans what they've been asking for… a return to the SCARY MOVIE franchise,' he cheered. 'We're looking forward to having fun on the big screen again.' More Trending Teasing the upcoming follow-up, the brothers told Deadline: 'We couldn't be more excited to be a part of the new Scary Movie and work with each other again. 'This is a franchise we created more than 20 years ago. We remember people laughing in the aisles and hope to see that happen again. 'We look forward to working with Jonathan Glickman and his team at the new Miramax to bring these laughs to theaters, where they belong. It's a double reunion.' Got a story?
