Ana De Armas Likes Instagram Post About Nicole Kidman

Buzz Feed2 days ago
Ana De Armas has people talking after she was seen liking a shady Instagram post about Nicole Kidman.
This week, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Ana had liked an Instagram post questioning whether Nicole got plastic surgery. The post, made in February on the Instagram account @celebmess, included what the account holder says is a 1996 photo of Nicole alongside a more recent picture of her. Also attached were screenshots from a 2007 interview where Nicole was asked about persistent stories surrounding her appearance. The piece noted that Nicole had sparked "persistent buzz over whether [she] is overly Botoxed" following her appearance at the 2006 Oscars.
In the profile, Nicole denied getting any work done. "To be honest, I am completely natural," she said. "I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen, and I don't smoke."
She added, "I take care of myself. And I'm very proud to say that."
Nicole's response was included in the Instagram post — right next to a doubtful meme that said, "Sure, Jan."
"When you keep it real," read the caption of the post, which also hashtagged Nicole's name and included the song "Denying" by the Spice Girls.
You can see Ana's Instagram account, here, among the likes. It's still there, as of publication.
Needless to say, people thought it was super shady. One Reddit user wrote, "what a sick burn 🙄." Another said, "Ugh. Shaming people like this is so weird."
"De Armas is wow, so horrid for this petty crap," a third fan shared, as someone else said it gave "mean girl vibes."
"I see some people still haven't graduated from that high school mentality. How embarrassing at her big age of 37," a fifth user complained.
Others pointed out that the pictures of Nicole also appeared to be heavily edited. "They had to edit Nicole Kidman to even give the illusion she could have aged badly," one user said, as another stated, "Whatever, Nicole always has been and still is so beautiful to me."
Ana has yet to address the situation, but it comes as she and Tom Cruise continue to face dating rumors following multiple appearances together since February. In a May interview on Good Morning America, Ana addressed their relationship and insisted it was purely a "working" one. "It's so much fun," she said. A source also told People that she and Tom are "just friends."
Nicole was married to Tom from 1990 to 2001 and shares two children with him: Isabella, 32, and Connor Cruise, 30.
BuzzFeed has contacted reps for Ana for comment — we'll let you know if we hear back.

Woman Thinks It's ‘Weird' Her Best Friend Is Getting Married on Her Birthday — and Didn't Tell Her First

"I know she knows it's my birthday, but she hasn't mentioned it at all — like no acknowledging that it's the same day," the woman wrote on RedditNEED TO KNOW A woman shared on Reddit that she found out her best friend plans to get married on her birthday — and she's questioning the choice "Every time it's brought up, I just kinda nod along and do my best to be supportive, but I think it's really weird," she wrote of her friend's wedding plans Reacting to the post, one reader argued, "Lots of things happen on our birthdays, and because we are adults we deal with it"A woman is puzzled by her best friend's wedding plans. In a post on Reddit, the 26-year-old woman shared that her best friend is set to marry her longtime partner. "This is something we both have been talking about for years now, and it's something she's always wanted. I'm so excited and I'm going to be part of the wedding as well," the OP (original poster) noted. However, the OP recently received her invitation and was surprised to discover that her best friend has planned a destination wedding in Las Vegas that will take place on her birthday. "I know she knows it's my birthday, but she hasn't mentioned it at all — like no acknowledging that it's the same day. Every time it's brought up, I just kinda nod along and do my best to be supportive, but I think it's really weird," the OP wrote. Now, she is not sure how to handle the situation. "I feel like I need to say something, obviously, but I also know they already booked the chapel for that day and a couple others going to the wedding have already started buying hotel rooms and flights. I have no idea how I should even bring this up," she concluded her post, asking for advice. In the comments section, many readers shared the opinion that this should be a non-issue for the OP. "Your friend is getting married, and you're taking their choice of date far more personally than you should be," one person wrote. "A lot of different factors usually go into choosing wedding dates, from price to venue availability to when you know you can get your family and friends in one place. For destination weddings, hotel availability and flight prices come into play too." They continued, "If you can't attend or don't want to attend because of your birthday, you can absolutely voice that, but there doesn't seem to be an a------ issue here." Someone else chimed in: "Lots of things happen on our birthdays, and because we are adults we deal with it. Don't say anything. Don't pout like a little kid. Your birthday is only a priority for you." The general consensus was that the OP should refrain from saying anything to the bride-to-be about her choice of wedding date. "Don't make her planning her wedding even more stressful than it already is. I'm sure when the date was picked, other factors played a more important role than the birthday of a friend falling on the same day," one commenter said, offering some simple advice: "Enjoy your friend's wedding!" Another reader suggested that the OP find another time to celebrate her birthday with her friend, and yet another encouraged her to see the chosen wedding date as a positive. "I would thank her — she's giving you two reasons to celebrate on your birthday!" they pointed out. Read the original article on People Solve the daily Crossword

Daughters Take Bikini Photos of Their Single Mom, 61, Looking to Online-Date 10 Years After Divorce (Exclusive)

Los Angeles mom of three Heidi opens up to PEOPLE about finding the courage to date in her golden yearsNEED TO KNOW Heidi, a 61-year-old divorcée, says she "lost sense of self" after separating from her husband after 23 years of marriage Her youngest daughter Luna posted a viral TikTok of her posing for swimsuit photos to use for her online dating profile The mother-daughter duo open up to PEOPLE about navigating Heidi's new dating journey togetherHeidi, 61, is looking for love. Over a decade ago, the Los Angeles resident split with her husband after 23 years of marriage, which she tells PEOPLE was "incredible and absolutely amazing" at first — "until it was not anymore." Throughout the relationship, Heidi managed to balance the ups and downs, all while raising three children. "I lost sense of self," she says. "I didn't know who I was. I had to find that again, and it took years." Hopping from one romantic commitment to the next couldn't be far from what newly single Heidi was looking for. "I just felt like I had so much to work on. The last thing I wanted to do was to bring that into another relationship." And while the early stages were rocky at first ("I was very busy in survival mode," she says), bouncing back from divorce wasn't impossible. "Just working on me and my strength, coming up to today, I know who I am and have such a rich, fantastic life in every aspect," she says with a newfound confidence that nudged her to do something completely out of her comfort zone — partaking in a swimsuit photo shoot for an online matchmaking site. In early July, Heidi's youngest daughter Luna, a ballerina and social media influencer, posted a TikTok video showing her mom posing in a bikini against a gorgeous beach backdrop in Portugal. Luna, 24, posted the video with the caption "After being divorced for over 10 years we are helping our mom take her new cover photo" along with, "Anybody have a tall hot dad for her?!" "You have no idea how far away that is from my personality," jokes Heidi, who had a little push from Luna and her other daughter Zoe, 30, to own the moment. "Me and my sister were taking bikini photos and then my mom, she was just looking so cute and we're like, 'Why don't you just get in here?' The photos looked amazing, and me and my sister were like, 'This could be the cover.' It was almost like a joke at the time," says Luna, who describes her mom as a "six-foot unicorn" with a majestic aura that people notice wherever they go. "It's hard to see you not be happy with yourself," she says to her mom. "So especially in moments like that where I know my mom's maybe feeling insecure about her body, I'm like, oh my God, I want her to feel like how we see her." Luna was young when her parents divorced, so she always saw her mother as an independent woman. But over the years, she's been hoping that Heidi would find a solid partner in her golden years that could be a support system and her "best friend," especially since her dad has "moved on" since the separation. She even once signed Heidi up for the Golden Bachelor franchise ("Oh my God, we love to watch it," shares Heidi). Heidi admits that, for a while, she was "petrified of losing" herself in another relationship, but now she's ready to dip her toes back into the dating world. She's not looking for a man with a flashy lifestyle, but someone who understands her on a deeper emotional level. "That person has to add value [to her life]." Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. The two have yet to start up Heidi's account but are "going to work on it for sure." They are, however, preparing to navigate the dating-site tropes, like clocking the stereotypical photos they come across of men holding up fish. In the meantime, Luna can offer sound advice to her mom. "I'd say just stay open-minded. Even if it's a bad date, you're still learning. Putting yourself out there will up your confidence no matter what." Read the original article on People Solve the daily Crossword

Here's why you should never name your baby one of these 3 common names, speech therapist says

Don't name them that. Millennial parents are using the '90s as inspiration for naming their newborns — which is fine, as long as they avoid three names in particular, according to a speech therapist. Chloe Conrad is a speech-language pathologist who often posts informative, helpful videos for parents on her Instagram page. In one of Conrad's recent posts, she shared three specific names parents should never consider naming their baby — and for good reason. 'Three names I would never name my child as a speech therapist: Rory, Rowan and Aurora. They're so hard to say,' the expert point-blank said in the video, which has garnered over 250,000 views. In the caption of the post, she provided some more context on her opinion: 'Basically any name with R and O in it next to each other. I LOVE the way they sound but struggle teaching a child to say them.' If you struggle pronouncing these challenging names — you're not alone. Many people in the comment section agreed with Conrad. 'My guess was Aurora before I ever heard it! Lol. I have the hardest time saying it! We had a little girl on our soccer team last season and even the parents yelling it sounded off to me! Lol.' 'lol I've always found Rory hard but I just realised I can't say Aurora at all.' 'So true lol all those Rs!' Conrad explained in an interview with why so many people struggle pronouncing these, rather simple-looking names. When there's a word or name that has a R before an O — most people struggle articulating these letters together. 'The W sound is made with rounded lips, and O is also a rounded vowel,' she told the outlet. 'So when you put the two together, it becomes increasingly difficult for a young child to produce clearly.' Thankfully, it seems that most parents are avoiding these tricky-to-pronounce names — and instead are opting for simpler names like Liam and Olivia. Liam has ranked No. 1 for boys' names eight consecutive years — while Olivia has taken the cake for girls' names for six years in a row. Aside from these two, old-fashioned baby names like Theodore, Oliver, Owen, Eleanor, Eloise and Margaret are back in style. 'I think vintage names evoke a sense of nostalgia. I get a lot of clients who pull out their family tree, looking to grandparents and great-grandparents for name inspiration,' Colleen Slagen, author of the forthcoming book 'Naming Bebe,' told Yahoo! Life. Solve the daily Crossword
