MSU commit, 4-star PF Cam Ward stars in Iverson Classic all-star game Future Spartans power forward Cam Ward starred for in the Iverson Classic high school all-star game this past week
A future Spartan had a mighty impressive performance in a prominent high school all-star game this past weekend.
Four-star power forward and Michigan State signed prospect Cam Ward starred in the Iverson Classic this past weekend. Ward reportedly scored 23 points points on 11-14 shooting from the field, nine rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in the all-star game.
Ward was one of the notable players called out in SI.com's post-game story from the event.
Ward is a four-star prospect with a rating of 97.69 in 247Sports' composite score. He ranks as the No. 12 power forward and No. 54 overall prospect in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2025 class.
With Ward starring in the Iverson Classic, it is appearing more and more clear that he'll play a role on the Spartans right away as a true freshman next year. I don't necessarily expect him to start right away (or maybe ever) next season, but he certainly has proven during his recruiting cycle that he has the ability to contribute in some degree next year.

Will Caitlin Clark play Tuesday? Indiana Fever provide injury update

WNBA and Indiana Fever fans are anxiously awaiting the return of superstar Caitlin Clark. Clark has been sidelined with a left quadriceps injury since the Fever's May 24 contest against the New York Liberty. Clark has missed each of Indiana's past four contests as she works her way back from the injury. Advertisement On Monday, Fever head coach Stephanie White provided an update on the injury status of Clark, ruling out the Fever star for Indiana's contest at Atlanta on Tuesday night. "Not for tomorrow," White said of Clark's availability against the Dream. "No. I think for us, we've got to work both her and Sophie back into are they in basketball condition? What does it mean to go live? It's one thing to do some shooting drills. It's another thing to get out there on the floor, get back into movement patterns, rhythm, timing. "And so that's what part of picking and choosing the things that they can be in in practice, so that we can see their progression. Both of them, being out for long periods of time, you've got to work your way back into being game ready." Coach White was asked if Clark had been cleared to return to basketball activities. Advertisement "I don't know if cleared is the right word. We're ready to start ramping back up. It's completely different when you're just doing 1-on-1 workouts and when you're out there in 5-on-5, getting up and down the floor, moving laterally. So, she's been allowed to do some practicing. Not everything. And we're going to be smart and we're going to be cautious and we're going to play the long game and work her back in very intentionally," White said. Clark is is currently averaging 19.0 points, 9.3 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game on 40.3% field goal shooting, 31.4% from 3-point range and 75.0% from the free-throw line. The second-year pro opened the season with the third triple-double of her career and has two more double-doubles, including Clark's 18 points and 10 assists against the reigning WNBA champion Liberty in her final game before injury. The Fever are 2-2 minus Clark and have won both of their past two contests. Indiana is 4-4 on the season. After its date at Atlanta, Indiana hosts the Liberty again on Saturday, June 14. 3-star DL cancels upcoming Kansas official visit after visiting MSU this past weekend

3-star DL cancels upcoming Kansas official visit after visiting MSU this past weekend A critical recruiting target for Michigan State has reportedly cancelled one of his upcoming official visits following his visit to Michigan State this past weekend. Nehemiah Kolone of Stillwater, Okla. has reportedly cancelled his upcoming official visit to Kansas scheduled for this upcoming weekend. This notable update in Kolone's recruitment was reported by on Tuesday morning. Kolone is still slated to take an official visit to BYU on June 20, though, which remains as his final official visit planned for this recruiting cycle. Kolone is a three-star defensive lineman prospect in the 2026 class. He holds a recruiting rating of 86.89 and ranks as the No. 86 defensive lineman in 247Sports' composite rankings for the class. He is also listed as the No. 850 overall prospect in the class. Kolone took an official visit to Michigan State this past weekend, which reportedly went really well. So the cancellation of his upcoming visit to Kansas only furthers that narrative. It appears Michigan State, Oklahoma State and BYU remain as the three teams in contention for his commitment at this time. Kenyon Sadiq, Isaiah World continue Oregon Ducks' NFL draft streak in new mock

Kenyon Sadiq, Isaiah World continue Oregon Ducks' NFL draft streak in new mock Over the past decade, the Oregon Ducks have been among the top teams in the nation when it comes to putting players into the NFL. For six straight seasons, Oregon has had at least one first-round pick in the NFL draft, dating back to Justin Herbert in 2020. This past year, the Ducks had a pair of players selected among the top 32 picks, with Derrick Harmon going to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Josh Conerly going to the Washington Commanders. So, will they be able to continue that impressive streak again a year from now? It's not hard to imagine the answer being yes. We've already looked at the top candidates to be a first-rounder in 2026, with players like Dillon Thieneman, Matayo Uiagalelei, and Makhi Hughes being among them. In their latest 2026 mock draft, CBS Sports targeted another pair of Ducks to get into the mix. At No. 21, it's tight end Kenyon Sadiq going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. "A special teams standout, Sadiq is a versatile athlete who was used at QB on four extra points in '24; twice threw TDs on rollout plays (and he's also run fake punts from the upback position). As a TE, he runs extremely well, will run through arm tackles and is used all over the formation. He can be a quick-game target as an outside WR and was also used effectively on jet sweeps. He reminds me of Kadarius Toney in the quick game and Anquan Boldin in space with the ball in his hands." Not long after Sadiq comes off of the board, it's transfer OT Isaiah World who goes at pick No. 24 to the Cincinnati Bengals. "World might play with the best balance of any offensive tackle in recent memory; he's not the athlete Josh Conerly Jr. was coming into the draft, but he's athletic enough. In terms of summer draft grades, I have him in the same range as Kelvin Banks Jr. heading into his '24 season." We will see if both players can live up to the hype in 2025, but if they do, the Ducks should be in a pretty good position to compete for a College Football Playoff spot once again.
