Netflix fans 'can't think straight' after binge-watching 'incredible' drama
Netflix enthusiasts have been burning the midnight oil to binge-watch the second part of The Sandman season 2, which made its debut on the streaming service just yesterday. The concluding volume of the show's latest season has left viewers "in tears", with some fans confessing they "won't be able to think straight for a long time".
Adapted from Neil Gaiman's acclaimed comic book series, The Sandman chronicles the journey of Morpheus, the Master of Dreams, as he endeavours to reclaim his kingdom's former splendour. The Netflix series' blurb states: "When the Sandman, aka Dream, the cosmic being who controls all dreams, is captured and held prisoner for more than a century, he must journey across different worlds and timelines to fix the chaos his absence has caused."
Tom Sturridge's portrayal of the eponymous character has garnered applause, and the series boasts a glittering cast including Game of Thrones alumni Gwendoline Christie and Charles Dance, alongside Doctor Who alumna Jenna Coleman. Fans took to X, the platform previously known as Twitter, to express their feelings about the latest instalment of The Sandman season 2.
One fan exclaimed: "Whoa! Whoa! #TheSandmanSeason2 was incredible, and I am so excited for the bonus episode coming out July 31."
Another viewer posted: "So I finished watching season 2. It was a long journey that I will never forget. It's an amazing show, and amazing people working on it. I will never be the same after this, and I cried a lot of tears. I don't think I will be able to think straight for a long time."
Another fan gushed: "Finished all V2 episodes in one sitting... It's almost 7am. It was so good. Tom Sturridge did an amazing job as Dream. The entire cast and team are REALLY some of the best, I cannot remember the last time a show left such an impact on me."
An emotional viewer shared: "The last few episodes of Sandman were incredibly emotional. Even though I knew how the story would end, I still couldn't hold back my tears. A huge thank you to Tom Sturridge for being the best Morpheus imaginable."

Despite receiving critical acclaim upon its debut on Netflix in 2022, The Sandman has been embroiled in controversy following allegations of sexual misconduct against creator Gaiman by several women, which he has denied.
Rumours swirled that Netflix cancelled The Sandman after two seasons due to the scandal, but showrunner Allan Heinberg has clarified that the decision for a two-season arc was made prior to filming the second series, reports the Express.
"The Sandman series has always been focused exclusively on Dream's story, and back in 2022, when we looked at the remaining Dream material from the comics, we knew we only had enough story for one more season," he explained on X.
Heinberg expressed gratitude towards Netflix for reuniting the team and providing the necessary support to create a faithful adaptation that aims to both surprise and satisfy the comic's dedicated fans and new viewers alike.
The Sandman is now exclusively available for streaming on Netflix.

Love Island fans say they have 'no shame' amid Harry's 'game plan' as he makes savage switch
Love Island fans were adamant they had worked out Harry Cooksley's plans as he was once again involved in a drama filled episode of the ITV2 dating series Love Island fans were quick to point out the "game plan" of Harry Cooksley after yet more drama involving the 30 year old. Despite being coupled up with Helena, Harry has continuously shared cheeky and flirtatious chat with other girls in the villa. And his ways have caused former partner Shakira's head to be turned despite being in a pair with Conor. And following Friday night's dramatic antics, fans are certain they know what Harry is up to as a dramatic recoupling took place on tonight's show. There were tears for Harry as he spoke to Helena who promised she could not be friends with him in the villa or on the outside. And he was backed by the boys as he sulked. However, the recoupling led fans to have the same thoughts. With just Helena and Shakira left standing waiting to be picked, Harry said he had "disappointed myself" before saying he knows he's not perfect. He said he had "chose to ignore" the feelings he had for her as he told Shakira he was either leaving the villa alone or with her. He made his decision, with Shakira hugging him and leaving Helena left standing alone, much to the disappointment of other islanders. After Blu was left to pick Helena, she took his words on board before getting up and quickly walking away from the fire pit. And taking to social media, fans of the show made their feelings known. One user on Twitter /X said: "Harry knows Shakira is most popular with public his game plan working to a tee." And it was shown in other comments by viewers. "IF THERE IS A VOTE IM VOTING HARRY AND SHAKIRA WITH NO SHAME #LoveIsland," admitted one user. Another added: "Just watch! People will vote for Harry and Shakira," while a third said: "Yessss Harry beautiful speech, you're back in the game. Team Harry and Shakira" On Friday's edition, he was finally exposed to the villa for his actions that had caused drama between the girls for weeks - leading to a split. He had played Shakira and Helena against each other time and time again, and sat back as Helena and Shakira took the triangle drama out on each other. His exclusive pairing with Helena had left Shakira devastated after feeling isolated in recent weeks. However, just a day after moving their relationship on, Harry was hinting to Dejon how he still liked Shakira. He also hinted he wasn't that into Helena, before appearing to try and pick a fight with her at the Grafties. The awkward scenes playing out in front of the camera saw Helena end things for good. His comments about "loving" his ex Emma and him flirting with others, not to mention his chats with Shakira, all played on the awards ceremony in the vila. And the footballer also made a comment about having a better experience with Shakira than Helena. Helena ended up calling Harry "a f*****g joke". She then told him: "Shakira doesn't want you, I don't want you." With that the other Islanders smirked as Helena appeared to end things.

Adam Sandler honors late costar Cameron Boyce in Happy Gilmore 2... six years after his tragic death at age 20
Adam Sandler is once again making sure Cameron Boyce is never forgotten. Six years after Boyce's tragic passing, the beloved actor made a posthumous cameo in Happy Gilmore 2, Sandler's newest Netflix comedy, which hit Netflix on July 25. In one early scene at a golf course check-in desk, Boyce can be seen playing on a background TV screen. The footage appears to be from Jessie, the Disney Channel series Boyce starred in from 2011 to 2015. It's a quiet blink-and-you'll-miss-it tribute, but many fans found his brief presence on their screens to be deeply meaningful. 'Adam Sandler including Cameron Boyce in #HappyGilmore2 as a cameo is so heartwarming,' one fan posted on X. 'He really loved that kid and I'm so glad he keeps his memory alive.' Another wrote, 'Adam Sandler honoring Cameron Boyce in Happy Gilmore 2 melts my heart.' 'Adam put a tiny Cameron Boyce (played his son in Grown Ups) tribute in Happy Gilmore 2. Excuse me while I sob,' a third wrote. Boyce, who played Sandler's son in the Grown Ups films, died in 2019 at age 20 due to a seizure related to an ongoing medical condition. At the time, Sandler posted an emotional tribute, calling him 'the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around.' 'Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world… All our hearts are broken,' he said wrote. Sandler previously honored Boyce in his 2020 Netflix film Hubie Halloween, where a tribute card appeared during the credits, reading: 'In loving memory of Cameron Boyce. Gone way too soon and one of the kindest, coolest, funniest, and most talented kids we knew. You live on forever in our hearts and are truly.' Boyce played Keithie Feder, the spoiled son of Sandler's Lenny Feder in the 2010 comedy Grown Ups, returning in the 2013 sequel Grown Ups 2. Boyce was best known for playing Carlos - son of 101 Dalmatians villain Cruella de Vil in the Descendants movies and TV shorts that all aired on Disney Channel. Boyce was found unresponsive in his home on July 6, 2019, and pronounced dead later that day. His family confirmed three days later that he passed away due to an epileptic seizure, which was confirmed by the autopsy later that month. Earlier this month, Boyce was remembered by three of his Descendants co-stars on the sixth anniversary of his tragic passing. Sofia Carson (Evie), Booboo Stewart (Jay) and Sarah Jeffery (Audrey) - all took to Instagram to pay tribute to their beloved co-star. Carson shared an undated black and white throwback snap of her, Boyce and fellow Descendants co-star Dove Cameron (Mal). She added the poignant caption, 'Our Angel. Forever,' which received over 1.1 million likes in nine hours from her 20.3 million followers. Jeffrey also took to her Instagram story sharing a throwback pic from 2014 of her and Boyce, along with a poignant tribute. A young Boyce was seen in a black hoodie with a black stocking cap while Jeffrey was in a black stocking cap and a brown coat as they embraced. '2014. On a BC ferry heading back to Victoria to shoot more of Descendants. Life is good. Miss you Cam,' Jeffrey said with a red heart emoji. Kenny Ortega, who directed all of the Descendants films, also shared a throwback snap of Boyce and a touching tribute on Instagram. 'Impossible to forget you Cameron. You own a piece of my heart. The memories of our times working together are some of my greatest treasures,' Ortega began. 'When you entered a room the light grew brighter because of your presence. Your laugh, imagination, talent, generosity, and loving heart were second to none,' he added. Descendants followed a group of kids - the offspring of iconic Disney characters - who try to free their parents from captivity. Carson's Evie was the son of the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Stewart's Jay was the son of Jafar from Aladdin and Jeffrey was the daughter of Aurora and Prince Philip from Sleeping Beauty. Boyce also starred in Mirrors, Eagle Eye, Grown Ups, Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer and Runts, along with playing Luke Ross on Jessie from 2011 to 2015.

Top WWE SummerSlam match at risk with top star 'blocked from entering US'
A major WWE match announced for SummerSlam 2025 is in serious jeopardy after a top superstar wasn't allowed to travel back to the United States. On the first night of the August 2 and 3 double header, Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul are set to face Randy Orton and Grammy Award-winning singer Jelly Roll in a tag team match. McIntyre, known as the Scottish Warrior, has been back in the UK for a friend's wedding in England over the weekend, but he's now claimed he was stopped from boarding his flight back to the US where he has lived for a number of years. 'There's now a good chance I don't make #SummerSlam,' he captioned a video on X as he talking into his phone camera from a field. 'It's quite a week I've had. You wanna know how it's been capped off? i can't get back into America, They wouldn't let me board my flight,' he said in the video. 'I'm in England still, at my buddy's wedding – what a wedding it was. Planning to go back, train for SummerSlam, but no, no, no, no, I got blocked. **Warning – the below video includes strong language** 'Wife and I walked up to the gate, trying to check in, always goes perfectly fine. Not this time.' McIntyre noted that there was an issue with his documentation, despite never having a problem any of the other times he's been travelling. He continued: ''Drew, you don't have your US passport. I know who you are. I know you've lived there for a long time, I know you're showing me pictures of your US passport, and your global entry. ''I know exactly who you are, your property and the likes. But no, we can't let you in the country buddy. 'So my wife and I panic, we say we've got a sick animal at home, we're good people, we care about our animals, we care about people. In the end, his wife travelled back alone 'against her will' to see their pet cat, while McIntyre had to turn around and leave the airport. Ever the professional, the former world champion used the real life incident to continue his on-screen feud with Jelly Roll. 'Here I am. So what happened, what changed this trip? Jelly Roll. You know somebody, got some connections? You've got your 15 minutes of fame right now, can get away with some stuff? You're hot, soon you will not be, so you're getting it in when you can,' he quipped. 'You realised when I took off my shirt on SmackDown, you went , 'Oh my God! All that aura, I'm screwed!' So you screw up my training for SummerSlam week. More Trending 'Why am I in a field? I don't know what I'm in a field but I can tell you one thing! When this is all over, I'm gonna get back, and I'm gonna drop you Jelly Roll. 'I'm gonna make you pay. And eventually, you're gonna gain all that weight back and you're gonna look like one of these f***ers.' It remains to be seen whether McIntyre will make it back by the the weekend, or if a replacement will need to be found for the match.
