MP: Congress chief Jitu Patwari alleges corruption in central government schemes in state

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India] June 11 (ANI): A day after Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised the achievement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government on completion of 11 years tenure, Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari on Wednesday alleged massive corruption in several centrally-sponsored schemes being implemented across the state.
Addressing the reporters, Patwari said, 'The schemes of the central government, which were started for the upliftment of the poor, farmers and people in rural areas, have become a ground for corruption in Madhya Pradesh. From Jal Jeevan Mission to Swachh Bharat Mission and schemes like Ayushman Bharat revealed to be involved in financial irregularity and fake billings. Still CM Yadav praised the achievements of 11 years of Modi government, while the reality is that every scheme of the Center in Madhya Pradesh has been stuck in corruption.'
The congress leader alleged that corruption of crores of rupees revealed in various key schemes such as Jal Jeevan Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and others.
He further demanded that a high-level investigation should be initiated of the corruption in these schemes in the state and strict action should be taken against those found guilty.
Earlier on Tuesday, CM Mohan Yadav inaugurated an exhibition at the state BJP office in Bhopal, centred on completion of 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure.
Addressing the media on the occasion, CM Yadav highlighted work done in PM Modi's tenure for 11 years and stressed that he made various bold decisions necessary for the public's welfare.
'PM Modi took bold decisions necessary for the public's welfare. He took various decisions, be it the implementation of GST, the abrogation of Article 370, the abolition of Triple Talaq or the Ram Mandir temple issue...he made decisions for the welfare of every section of the society,' the CM said.
He also emphasised that PM Modi talked about cleanliness from the Red Fort, decided to construct toilets in every house, and provided gas connections. The poor people are getting the benefit of DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
'There are various schemes of the Modi government for the welfare of the public, including the Ayushman Bharat scheme, 5 lakh health insurance for all elderly people above 70 years, Ujjwala Gas connection and Jal Jeevan Mission. The budget for agricultural development increased 5 times during PM Modi's tenure. Kisan Samman Nidhi is being provided to farmers for the first time. Free rations to over 80 crore people. He has also provided 10 per cent reservation to general category people (EWS), leaving a message that every section is equal,' CM Yadav said. (ANI)

I had met Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L Murugan on July 8 on this issue,' the CM said. The Union government was requested to set up an Akashvani center and studio in Ujjain, which has now been approved, Yadav said. 'Till the completion of this process, short-term broadcasting has been arranged from Akashvani Indore six days a week. While other types of arrangements are being made in view of Simhastha: 2028, the achievement of getting Akashvani setup approved in Ujjain is important in the direction of expansion of official media,' he added. A well-equipped radio station was needed to encourage local artists of Ujjain and Malwa region, he said. 'Along with promoting art and culture, this will be a special outreach support for rural and tribal areas. Publicity of goverrnment schemes and expansion of community radio networks will prove useful. It will provide special assistance in reaching information about public welfare decisions to remote rural areas,' he said. He will also address the gathering on the occasion. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already reached the city to review the preparations and will be with the Prime Minister during the day. During the event, Prime Minister modi will release the 20th instalment of PM-KISAN. An amount of more than Rs 20,500 crore will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of over 9.7 crore farmers across the country. With this release, the total disbursement under the scheme since its inception will surpass Rs 3.90 lakh crore. The projects cater to multiple sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, tourism, urban development and cultural heritage aim at achieving holistic urban transformation, cultural rejuvenation, improved connectivity, and enhanced quality of life in Varanasi. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several key infrastructure projects. He will inaugurate the widening and strengthening of the Varanasi - Bhadohi road and Chhitauni- Shool Tankeshwar road; and Railway Overbridge at Hardattpur, to ease congestion on the Mohan Sarai - Adalpura Road. He will lay the foundation stone for comprehensive road widening and strengthening across multiple rural and urban corridors, including Dalmandi, Lahartara-Kotwa, Gangapur, Babatpur among others and Railway Overbridges at Level Crossing 22C and Khalispur Yard. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of various works under the Smart Distribution Project and undergrounding of electrical infrastructure worth over Rs 880 crore. In a major boost to tourism, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the redevelopment of 8 riverfront Kuccha Ghats, development works at Kalika Dham, beautification of the pond and ghat at Rangildas Kutiya, Shivpur, and the restoration and water purification of Durgakund. He will lay the foundation stone for restoration work at Kardameshwar Mahadev Temple; development of Karkhiyaon, the birthplace of several freedom fighters; City Facility Centres at Sarnath, Rishi Mandvi, and Ramnagar Zones; redevelopment of Munshi Premchand's ancestral house in Lamahi and upgradation of museum among others. He will also lay the foundation stone for development of an Urban Miyawaki Forest at Kanchanpur and for the redevelopment and beautification of Shaheed Udyan and 21 other parks. To preserve culturally significant water bodies, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for water purification and maintenance works at various kunds including Ramkund, Mandakini, Shankuldhara and others, along with the installation of four floating pujan platforms. To ensure access to potable water in rural areas, he will also inaugurate 47 Rural Drinking Water Schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the upgradation of 53 school buildings within the municipal boundary. He will also lay the foundation stone for several educational projects, including the construction of a new district library and rejuvenation of Government High Schools at Jakhini, Lalpur among others. In a major boost to health infrastructure, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate advanced medical equipment installations, including robotic surgery and CT scan facilities, at Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital. He will also lay the foundation stone of a Homoeopathic College and Hospital. Further, he will inaugurate an Animal Birth Control Centre and associated Dog Care Centre. The Prime Minister will inaugurate a synthetic hockey turf at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Sports Stadium. Enhancing facilities for law enforcement personnel, Prime Minister will inaugurate a 300-capacity Multipurpose Hall at Pradeshik Armed Constabulary (PAC) Ramnagar and lay the foundation stone for Quick Response Team (QRT) Barracks. Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the registration portal for various events and competitions under the Kashi Sansad Pratiyogita, including Sketching Competition, Painting Competition, Photography Competition, Khel-Kood Pratiyogita, Gyan Pratiyogita, and the Rojgar Mela. Prime Minister will also distribute more than 7,400 assistive aids to various Divyangjan and Elderly beneficiaries.
