Highly Touted Star Puts Georgia on Notice
The Georgia Bulldogs were off to a fast start with one four-star edge rusher in the 2026 recruiting class. But he hasn't felt love from the Bulldogs since his initial offer.
That's what four-star edge rusher Tristian Givens, a top 2026 Georgia recruit, told On3's Jeremy Johnson this week.

'I don't too much talk to them even though I'm in the backyard, you feel me,' Givens said. 'It's all love with them, it's nothing against them… It bothers me a little bit because I'm from Georgia, so it kind of messes with me just a little bit.'
A Columbus, Georgia, native, Givens is a consensus top 10 recruit in the state for the 2026 class. The 247 Sports composite rankings rated him the No. 6 Georgia prospect.

Givens grew up with a grandmother who is an Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Yet, he rooted for the Bulldogs during his childhood.
'I always grew up watching them, and I'm a Georgia fan,' Givens added. 'I'm from Georgia, and ever since my grandma always watched Alabama, I watched Georgia.'

These factors contributed to Givens not feeling super fuzzy about the Bulldogs, even though they are his "dream school."
Perhaps because of how the Bulldogs have approached his recruitment, the Texas A&M Aggies hold an overwhelming lead for Givens in On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine. According to RPM, the Aggies have a 90% chance of landing the edge rusher.
Johnson reported that the Tennessee Volunteers, USC Trojans and Florida State Seminoles are also involved with Georgia.
The 247 Sports composite rankings rated Givens the No. 7 edge rusher and No. 63 overall recruit in the 2026 class.

He led Georgia to back-to-back national championships in 2021 and 2022, which is an unbelievable feat considering the history of Georgia Bulldogs football and Georgia sports in general. His biggest flaw as a coach was usually failing to win against his old team, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and his old coach, Nick Saban. However, Smart got the best of Saban in the 2021 national championship, officially cementing him as one of the best coaches of not just the 21st century, but all time. Smart is ranked behind just Pete Carroll (No. 3), Urban Meyer (No. 2) and Nick Saban (No. 1).

Georgia football adds first 2027 commitment from elite WR Elite class of 2027 wide receiver recruit Gavin Honore has announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs. Honore is Georgia's first commitment in the 2027 recruiting class. Honore is ranked as a three-star recruit. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound receiver is the No. 442 recruit in the country and the No. 54 prospect in California, per 247Sports. Honore is the No. 57 wide receiver in the nation. The rising junior also runs track and has excellent speed. "All glory to God let's do it!!!" said Honore after committing to Georgia football. Honore projects to play as a slot receiver in college. Despite his commitment, there's still a long way to go before his eventual signing. The three-star Honore plays high school football for Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. Mater Dei is a national powerhouse and is where Georgia Bulldogs running back Nate Frazier played in high school. Gavin Honore's commitment The Mater Dei star is a foundational piece for Georgia in the 2027 cycle and could help the Bulldogs recruit more top class of 2027 recruits. For now, coach Kirby Smart and Georgia are primarily focused on adding to their SEC-best recruiting haul in the class of 2026. The talented receiver committed to Georgia shortly after visiting the Bulldogs. Honore recently earned MVP honors at a National Preps Showcase. Georgia offered Honore back on April 1 and quickly landed his commitment. Honore's recruitment has been building moment over the past few months. He's received recent scholarship offers from Texas, Texas Tech and Louisville. Honore has excellent quickness. He's a well-refined route runner and made a lot of his sophomore production running routes on deep passing plays.

Indiana football lands 3-star offensive lineman from Big Ten rival's backyard
BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti hinted the his team's 2026 recruiting class would be getting a bit bigger in the coming weeks during an appearance at a recent booster event. The Hoosiers' latest verbal commitment fits that description in multiple ways. They landed a pledge from Eau Claire North High School offensive tackle Kenton Mondeau on Monday night. He's the 10th member of the signing class and is listed at 6 foot 7, 315 pounds on his Hudl profile. Mondeau has eight scholarship offers, including ones from Wake Forest, Iowa State and Air Force. He's rated three stars and No. 1,226 nationally, per On3's industry rankings. He's the No. 92 offensive tackle and fifth-best prospect in Wisconsin. Bob Bostad, IU's offensive line coach, is plenty familiar with the recruiting landscape in the state having spent 12 years as an assistant coach for the Badgers over two separate stints with the program. He also landed a verbal commitment from River Falls offensive lineman Samuel Simpson back in February. Simpson is the No. 1 ranked recruit in Wisconsin, per On3's industry rankings. Indiana will need to replace at least three scholarship offensive linemen who are in their final year of eligibility after the 2026 season, and starting left tackle Carter Smith could leave early for the NFL.
