Dubai: Vox Cinemas to reopen Mall of the Emirates IMAX theatre on April 10
'As part of our commitment to revolutionising the movie-going experience... we closed our IMAX location in December 2024 to make way for something extraordinary," said Ashleigh Potts, VP of Sales & Marketing.
The 'reimagined', state-of-the-art IMAX cinema is expected to open on April 10 and visitors can expect an immersive cinematic experience, with "crystal-clear visuals, next-generation sound, and cutting-edge technology to raise the bar for every movie" watched.
In the interim, Ashleigh confirmed moviegoers can still enjoy blockbusters IMAX-style at their other locations, such as City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Festival City, and Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi.
IMAX theatres differ from standard theatres primarily through their larger, curved screens and advanced projection systems. Ticket prices range from Dh60 to Dh80, while standard theatre tickets cost about Dh46.
