Vito Coppola has opened up to fans about his decision to 'walk away' from a dance coach early in his career, receiving an outpouring of support for sharing his emotional journey.
The professional dancer is best known and adored for his role on Strictly Come Dancing, having joined the cast in 2022.
In his debut year, Vito reached the final with Fleur East, before clinching the title alongside former Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach in 2023. He then made it to the final once again in 2024, partnered with actress Sarah Hadland.
It has been confirmed Vito will be returning to the ballroom later this year for the 23rd series of Strictly.
The BBC has announced the line-up of professional dancers for the 2025 season of the popular dance show, with Vito being joined by Katya Jones, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Neil Jones, and Nikita Kuzmin, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Also returning are Dianne Buswell, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, and Michelle Tsiakkas, while two new professionals will be introduced closer to the series launch.

Before his return to Strictly, Vito was gearing up to tour the country with Dianne Buswell in their joint-headline tour this summer. However, a recent trip back to Italy has prompted the dance star to reflect on his past.
Taking to Instagram, the Italian celebrity posted a clip of himself striking poses on the red carpet at the recent Bafta Television Awards and addressed his followers: "Good day, beautiful people!".
"Today, I want to share a little story from my past. Back when I used to compete, I had a coach who was harsh with me every time I didn't follow his instructions to the letter.
"The thing is, as many of you know, I'm a free spirit..spontaneous, transparent, and true to myself. That kind of personality doesn't always sit well with people who want control.
"One day, that coach told me: 'If you just follow your instincts, you're going to fail!' Those words were powerful and dangerous. But in that moment, I made a choice: I would never let someone else's beliefs define my reality!".
"So I walked away, not out of weakness, but out of love and respect for myself. I didn't know exactly where I was going or what I was doing, but I knew one thing: it felt right!"
Vito added: "Today, I just want to say thank you to those who truly believe in me, love me, and support me every step of the way. I'm deeply grateful...it means more than you can imagine. Sharing my experience is my way of telling you: YOU MATTER. WE MATTER. EVERYONE MATTERS! Never lose your smile, and always believe in yourself first. Most importantly, surround yourself with the right people, those who are real, genuine, and loyal. The kind of people with whom even a simple dinner of bread and water feels like a feast. That's true wealth!".
He said: "Always stay true to yourself, follow your instincts and your heart...and know that you're already a winner! And if anyone tries to hold you back? Show them what you're made of! Choose kindness and love... and remember to smile! V."
And he was quickly inundated with support. @mmmyummystrawberries said: "I literally feel like standing up and applauding out loud reading that! Every word you said is so true. Always follow your gut, always stay true to yourself and do what's right for you. With you always."
@jt_taylor73 commented: "Well done @vitocoppola that must've been so hard! But look where you are now! Beautiful inside and out, smashing life."
@caitlinwestiexoxo wrote: "We love you Vito! !".

Big Brother winner unrecognisable 7 years after 'accidental' win
The then-19-year-old won what was thought to be the last ever series of Big Brother. Big Brother's Cameron Cole went down in history in 2018, when he won what was thought to be the last ever series at the age of 19. The beloved reality programme has since returned on ITV, with a third season yet to air later this year. During his time in the iconic house, Cameron was showered in support from fans and his fellow housemates after coming out as gay, in one of TV's most emotional moments. Reflecting on that moment in a recent interview with Metro, Cameron revealed that he'd only told his best friend beforehand and had written letters to his family, which he still has. He feared the news would 'go down badly' with the other contestants and the public - only to have a completely different reaction. He told the publication: 'Once you come out on TV, you can't really do it again. I just don't even think about it now because there's no point hiding it. It is out there everywhere, and for that, I'm very grateful. [If I hadn't done it] I probably wouldn't have been living my true life which is never obviously a good thing.' Cameron went on to win the £100,000 from what he calls an 'accidental' win, but told host Emma Willis at the time that he didn't know what he'd plan to spend it on because he 'hadn't really thought that far ahead'. Unlike the likes of Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson, who have also appeared on Big Brother, Cameron opted for a quieter life away from fame following his stint on the show. He studied psychology in London and was in a long-term relationship with his boyfriend who he met in the city, though he still keeps his relationship and personal life private. In a post back in 2023, Cameron reflected on his fame from Big Brother, celebrating five years since he won the show. Alongside snaps from the show, he wrote on Instagram: 'I cannot believe it's been 5 years since the best 53 days of my life. I'm still so grateful to have done something as life changing as Big Brother. I lived my dream, and it never disappointed. 'I'm so glad big brother is back and that I won't be the last winner forever. I've loved this series so much and can relive it in a way I hadn't been able to. 'I can't explain how much I miss big brother and there isn't a day that goes by where I don't miss the house, housemates and absolutely everything it entitled, the BB voices, the task, diary room, chats, laughs the whole f*****g thing.' He went on: 'It was the safest and happiest I've ever been and will ever be. My safe haven the first place I felt I belonged and was normal. I love what was the best set of housemates and people. 'The memories made I'll never forget or get bored of remembering. I'll always miss it and crave the feeling and experience again, but when it makes me sad, I try to remember just how lucky I was to do it. 'Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey with me at any point. It's always been so appreciated. I'll never forget you and I'll always miss you, big brother, more than anyone will ever know. 'You made a sad boy with no hope a happy boy and gave me the most priceless prizes: hope and reason to live and laugh again. You changed my life completely and unfortunately you were so good, my heart now hurts everyday with how much I miss you! 'That said I'm so f**king glad I got to spend 53 days of my life with you, if only it was more. So happy more people can now live it too with BB being back. Love you always BB and I'll forever miss you.'

Kerry Katona compares herself to Britney Spears after sharing fears for singer
Celebs Go Dating star Kerry Katona was told she looked like Britney Spears during an Instagram live and compared herself to the legendary pop singer Kerry Katona compared herself to Britney Spears during an Instagram Live on Saturday afternoon. The Celebs Go Dating star, 44, has just jetted off abroad with her children for her family holiday, and gave fans a glimpse into her luxury getaway, Opting for a pink two-piece, Kerry lay down on a sofa and while one fan claimed she resembled former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan, another told her she looked like pop star Britney. In response, Kerry said: "I look like Britney Spears? Am I acting like her as well? I used to get called the British version of Britney Spears." As fans of the pop megastar will know, Britney regained control of her multimillion dollar fortune and various aspects of her life when a conservatorship that had been governed by her immediate family was terminated in November 2021. Since then, she has admitted that she has no plans to return to the music industry but has become known for sharing her sultry snaps to her millions of Instagram followers. It comes after pictures emerged of inside Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash's luxurious £30k family holiday at 'second home'. READ MORE: Kerry Katona 'moves in with new boyfriend' just months after Celebs Go Dating romance Kerry, who shot to fame around the same time as Britney, 43, when she joined the girl group Atomic Kitten in the late 1990s, has previously been vocal about the Baby One More Time songstress. She noted in her new! magazine column: "I think it's awful what's going on with Britney Spears. I wish we wouldn't make people like her fall further after what they've been through. Saying that, she is quite erratic and it's hard to tell what is actually going on. I think she is really struggling." Just months later, Britney went viral when she danced around with knives on Instagram, and Kerry shared her concern for the pop legend then, as she said: "The Instagram videos she's been posting recently are worrying, especially as she did one dancing with knives last month. I'm not one to judge, but it is concerning. I see all these conspiracy theories on TikTok and they make me wonder if it's the real Britney in these videos." Prior to that, Kerry, who has famously made more than £1 million through her profile on OnlyFans, previously suggested to Britney that she should join her in selling her racy snaps on the adults-only platform rather than giving them away for free on social media. Meanwhile, Kerry, who is mother to Molly, 23, and Lilly-Sue, 22, with former Westlife star Brian McFadden, Max, 18, and 17-year-old Heidi with Mark Croft as well as daughter DJ, eight, with the late George Kay, also told her fans of the calamity that ensued once she arrived in the foreign location and was temporarily locked out. She said: "So, gets in the car, gets to the apartment. got no key. I have got no bloody key! What time did we get here, Heidi, about 1? We've just got here and we can have a bloody barbecue!" What's more, the TV favourite also seemed to have forgotten to sort out a hire car for herself, so was left without the inability to stock up on food so had to rely on takeaway delivery services. She added: "I've got no car because I'm a n**head. I am a n**, that's what I am. "So I've done JustEats because we're all exhausted. There's [a little bit] of sun left on the balcony, and our Heidi has took it. So now, I've got to stand in t'bloody shade. But it is really, really nice here. I'm not showing anyone the views or anything though." For Kerry, the family getaway comes just months after she split from former fiance Ryan Mahoney. In an effort to move on from Ryan, Kerry has stepped back out into the dating pool as has grown close to personal trainer Paolo Margaglione. She signed up to Celebs Go Dating in an effort to find her perfect match. However, it seemed the pair may have faced some bumps in the road already after snaps of the pair in Ibiza seemed to show them in a tense exchange. A source claimed that, while they're totally 'smitten' with each other, Kerry is nervous about putting yet another relationship in the public eye. 'Kerry is being very cautious with this romance,' they told the Mirror. 'She has been very wary about going public with Paolo and it impacting their relationship. "She's been down the route of high-profile, public relationships before and she doesn't want anything to ruin things this time.' Kerry and father-of-two Paolo, 33, are thought to have met during the new series of Celebs Go Dating. However, Kerry has remained resolutely tight-lipped on her new relationship. The source added: 'Kerry's worries have caused some tense moments as she doesn't want any exterior drama getting in the way. "But Paolo isn't overthinking it – he's just really happy to be with her. He doesn't see the problem and is telling her not to worry, they're great together and should just enjoy what they've got.'

Frankie Bridge shows off her incredible abs in bikini after cryptic post
Loose Women star Frankie Bridge looked sensational as she shared a series of bikini snaps from her family holiday in the Maldives after she posted a cryptic TikTok Frankie Bridge has been turning heads with her toned abs in a series of snaps from her Maldives holiday, following a mysterious TikTok post. The 36 year old Loose Women panellist took to Instagram on Friday to share some sizzling bikini photos from her family trip to the tropical paradise. Despite rumours of a feud sparked by her recent TikTok post, the devoted mum-of-two seemed unfazed as she flaunted her fit physique. Frankie looked stunning as she showcased her well-toned body in a Triangle bikini, which she tagged in the photo carousel. The former pop star appeared tanned and joyful as she giggled during the beachside photoshoot. It comes after Katie Price reaches out to Harvey's lookalike half-brother but fears 'he's too scared'. Currently, Frankie is soaking up the sun on holiday with her husband Wayne and their two sons - Parker and Carter. Taking to TikTok, the Loose Women panellist made a cryptic dig at an unknown person, seemingly suggesting she was holding a grudge. Over the video of herself holding and sipping on a glass of wine, she wrote: "You're so quiet… Thanks, you said something five years ago and I've just realised you're actually dead to me." In the caption on the actual post, she simply wrote: "Takes me a while, but once you're dead you're dead." She didn't reference who or what she was talking about in the TikTok, which had the song What The Hell - sung by Avril Lavigne - over the top of the short clip. Frankie is currently in the Maldives with her husband and their two children - Parker, 11, and Carter, nine. They took their trip to Siyam World in the Maldives alongside Wayne's friend, football coach Luke Hampton, who was also celebrating his birthday, as well as Frankie's friend, Leah Meredith, who works with her brand Faves. As well as being a panellist on Loose Women, Frankie has been open about feeling like an "awful parent" due to hating her pregnancies. The former The Saturdays singer shares two children with her husband, Wayne Bridge, and admits pregnancy wasn't "for her". In a candid admission early this year, the 36-year-old revealed that while she can't see herself falling pregnant again any time soon, she doesn't want her husband to have a v asectomy in case their marriage were to break down and he'd find love with another woman. A vasectomy cuts or blocks the tube that carries sperm, preventing men from being able to have children. But while Wayne won't be having "the snip" any time soon, the All Fired Up singer won't be giving her sons, Parker, 11, Carter, nine, and Wayne's son Jaydon, 18, from a previous relationship, any siblings. "I always wanted more than two and then once I had one, I knew I wanted a second one," she said. Frankie went on to explain that she "hated" being pregnant. She explained that she was always feelings sick and put on weight, meaning she no longer "felt like herself." In a candid admission, she stated it was a "means to an end," saying she got a lovely baby at the end. Throughout her pregnancies, Frankie suffered from Hyperemesis gravidarum. The condition has symptoms including bad nausea and vomiting, which can happen multiple times per day. While most vomiting in pregnancy stops around weeks 12 to 20, it can continue for other women. Speaking to The Sun, Frankie continued: "It's constant sickness, you feel that you're supposed to be giving your baby all these nutrients, but you literally can't eat. "I already had a two-year-old at the time, so I felt like I was an awful parent. I couldn't bear the smell of another human — it would make me sick." Frankie and Wayne tied the knot in 2014, and in recent years, she has slammed the "double standards" she has faced from cruel online bullies. She explained that while she is often trolled for working away or taking time away, Wayne never receives messages for doing the same thing. Wayne encouraged her to take a holiday with friends after she suffered a series of illnesses which became difficult to "ignore," meaning her "mental health plummeted".
