Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are digging their heels in the trenches of parenting. The model-actress, 33, and NFL running back, 29, revealed the birth of their first child in a July 13 Instagram post. The social media announcement, which features several candid photos of the couple with their newborn daughter, also includes the baby's name: "Colette Annalise McCaffrey." USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Culpo and McCaffrey for comment. The photos of Baby Colette include an adorable close-up shot of the infant's arm, as well as several images of Culpo and McCaffrey spending time with their firstborn in the delivery room. In one photo, McCaffrey — decked out in hospital garb — can be seen leaning against Culpo's head as she holds Colette in a snug pose. Culpo also heaped praise on her co-parent, McCaffrey, in a series of additional photos on her Instagram stories. One picture showed the San Francisco 49ers player propping up Culpo's head during delivery: "The scariest and most rewarding of all experiences. As soon as he came into the room, I felt most at peace." Culpo and McCaffrey's parenting milestone comes a year after the couple married in a glamorous June 2024 ceremony in Rhode Island. Culpo stunned in a regal ball gown by Dolce & Gabbana that featured a crew neck, long sleeves, and a buttoned back. The Miss Universe alum topped off the marital ensemble with a 16-foot lace veil. "I didn't want it to exude sex in any way, shape, or form," Culpo told Vogue of her wedding dress. "I wanted it to feel effortless and as if it's complementing me, not overpowering me. There's so much beauty and simplicity." In March, Culpo signaled the next phase of her love story and announced her pregnancy in a sweet Instagram post, which showed the expectant mother cradling her growing baby bump in a flowy white dress. "Next chapter, motherhood 🤍," she wrote at the time. Olivia Culpo, Christian McCaffrey marry: Check out the bride's glamorous dress Olivia Culpo talks pregnancy health scare, motherhood excitement A week after her pregnancy announcement, Culpo revealed in a March 18 TikTok video that she suffered a health scare early in her pregnancy. In the nearly two-and-a-half-minute clip, which was filmed 9 weeks into her pregnancy, Culpo shared that she had been on bed rest for four weeks following a case of pneumonia and a subchorionic hematoma, a type of uterine hemorrhage that can result in vaginal bleeding. "I was bleeding everywhere," Culpo said. "(The doctor) said you can't go anywhere, you can't travel. Just truly, stay in bed." Culpo said her pregnancy wasn't jeopardized by the medical ordeal, adding recovery was aided by the use of progesterone suppositories. "It's not always the worst case that you're thinking," she told fans. "I just hope that this can help anybody else going through this, anybody feeling alone." 10 bingeable memoirs to check out: Celebrities tell all about aging, marriage and Beyoncé In a May interview with People magazine, Culpo opened up about her excitement for motherhood. The "Clawfoot" star said she was looking forward to the eight-to-12-week period of infancy "because it's when they start smiling and they can see you, but they're still so cuddly and sleeping on your chest." It's "the best bonding time, in my opinion," Culpo continued, though she acknowledged the "daunting" parenting stage. "It's my first time at this, so we'll see if I change my mind on that." Descendant of ‘God of War' who once ruled Mongolia is a TikTok influencer who carries ‘burden' of his name: ‘Just a girl who drinks matcha'
A TikToker has revealed she is directly descended from one of the 20th century's most brutal warlords, dubbed 'the Bloody Baron' — but she says she'd rather drink matcha than reclaim her historic throne. Leonie von Ungern-Sternberg, 29, an MBA student in Spain, often shares fun posts of her life as a matcha-sipping millennial on TikTok. But her family tree has been been watered with the blood of countless suspected communists. Instagram/@leonievungern Roman von Ungern-Sternberg, a violent Russian nationalist whose savagery in battle in the 1910s and '20s earned him the nicknames the 'God of War' and 'the Mad Baron.' A military leader on the losing side in Russia's 1917 communist revolution, Ungern later invaded Mongolia and established a kingdom with the help of soldiers loyal to the tsar — along with mercenaries from Japan and Mongolia. Advertisement He attempted to form a new Mongol empire that could march on Moscow and overthrow the Soviet government, while hunting down and exterminating anyone suspected of being a red communist. 8 Roman von Ungern-Sternberg was a violent Russian nationalist. Instagram/@leonievungern For Leonie, more than a century on from Ungern's 1921 execution by the Bolsheviks, sharing his surname has become something of a curse. Admitting the 'burden' that comes with her 'unusual surname,' Leonie explained that 'the Mad Baron' is far from her only prominent relative. Advertisement 'If a family is almost 1,000 years old, there is a chance that one or the other is going to … have done negative things throughout history,' Leonie told The Post. 8 For Leonie, sharing Roman von Ungern-Sternberg's surname has become something of a curse. Instagram/@leonievungern 'We were always raised in a very humble way … I've been working since I was 18,' she said. 'It's not like I have this super-glamorous life and I'm a baroness … No, it's just a name that in that context doesn't mean anything,' she said. Advertisement Leonie admits she 'didn't know much' about Ungern growing up, but after posting TikToks and vlogs for her friends, her link to one of the early 20th century's bloodiest conquests went viral. 8 Roman von Ungern-Sternberg was a military leader on the losing side in Russia's 1917 communist revolution. Pictures from History/Universal Images Group via Getty Images The Mad Baron is credited by some historians of helping to liberate Mongolia from Chinese occupation, but his madness and brutality were also legend. He became obsessed with Eastern religions, and his forces were less an army than a heavily armed cult. In addition to hating communists, he was also virulently antisemitic and he devised sadistic tortures and painful deaths for his enemies — and even his own followers who disobeyed him. 8 Leonie admits she 'didn't know much' about Ungern growing up. 'He's such a complex historical figure that you can't just box him up and make him out to be one person,' she said. 'He's more complex than that.'

49ers' Christian McCaffrey and model Olivia Culpo welcome first child: ‘A love like no other'
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo announced Sunday the birth of their first child — and revealed her name. The couple announced the news in a joint Instagram post with a simple caption: 'Colette Annalisa McCaffrey' and a white heart emoji. The post included black-and-white photos of McCaffrey and Culpo in a hospital room, with their newborn in their arms. The couple, who didn't disclose where the baby was born, announced in March that they were expecting their first child. McCaffrey, 29, and Culpo, 33, started dating in 2019 and married in June 2024. In addition to the post, Culpo shared on her Instagram story a photo of McCaffrey gazing at their baby in the hospital. 'Colette is so lucky to have the best daddy in the world,' Culpo wrote. 'A love like no other.' The model and actress also shared a photo of herself holding onto McCaffrey's arm during their daughter's birth. 'The scariest and most rewarding of all experiences,' she wrote. 'As soon as he came into the room I felt most at peace. Look at the grip.' The news comes as the 2025 NFL preseason kicks off next month. McCaffrey is looking to rebound after injuries that cut his season short. The 49ers, who lost to the Chiefs in overtime during the Super Bowl in February 2024, missed the playoffs last season.
