Katy Perry shares 'life purpose' hint amid Orlando Bloom split in cryptic post

Daily Mirror4 hours ago

Katy Perry has shared a cryptic post about her life purpose, just days after she reportedly split from her fiance Orlando Bloom after spending nine-years togther
Katy Perry has sparked speculation about her "life purpose" by sharing a cryptic message on her Instagram days after allegedly spliting from Orlando Bloom.
The couple have seen ups and downs since they first dated in 2016. They went Instagram official in May 2016 when the musician shared a funny photo of herself and Orlando dressed in bathrobes on the steps of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cannes, France.

This isn't the first time the high-profile duo has reportedly parted ways. Katy and Orlando, who initially got together in 2016, called it quits in 2017. They rekindled their romance in 2018 and announced their engagement the following year. That same year, they also decided to cohabit. The couple welcomed their little girl, Daisy Dove, into the world in August 2020.

Katy reposted a video from a digital guru who uses "the laws of the universe" to transform lives, suggesting that mastering these laws can "heal" one's life. In the shared clip, the guru stated, "The phase of the moon that was during your date of birth determines your purpose."
Katy, known for hits like Teenage Dream, shared the video without adding any personal commentary, leaving fans to wonder if she was hinting at her own life's purpose. The video explained that those born during a Waning Crescent moon phase are here to "If you were born on a Waning Crescent, you are here to complete the mission that you feel. You are closing chapters no longer beneficial to the collective. You are laying groundwork for new beginnings. Your role is to be a savior to others."
The singer also updated her fans with clips from her live performances, including a compilation from The Lifetimes Tour, showcasing her energetic stage presence. As she continues her international tour in Australia, she captioned her concert footage, "ONLY 4 SHOWS LEFT IN AUSTRALIA LFG ADELAIDE."

Notably, Katy's social media activity seemed to sidestep the recent news about her split from Orlando Bloom, with a source telling US Weekly, "Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It's not contentious at the moment."
As the story unfolded, it was shared that "Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life," reports Mirror US.
Prior to this, a source close to the couple shed light on their strained relationship, admitting, "It's true they're spending time apart."
The strain between them became evident when it was revealed, "They have been spending more and more time apart. They've grown apart and aren't living the same lives anymore."
A source detailed how the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor took Daisy to see her mum before he jetted off to Italy for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's lavish wedding celebrations in Venice this week. "They're keeping it civil," the insider emphasised.

Gemma Atkinson turns to crowdfunding to raise £500k to launch her beauty brand, but angry trolls rage she can ‘do one'

GEMMA Atkinson has sparked controversy after turning to crowdfunding to raise £500,000 to launch her own beauty brand. The actress has already attracted an impressive social media following for her skincare company Gem & Tonic, which aims to provide products to "simplify your beauty regime". 5 Gemma Atkinson has sparked controversy after turning to crowdfunding to raise £500k to officially launch her beauty brand Gem & Tonic Credit: Instagram/glouiseatkinson 5 The fundraising effort has already raised nearly £50,000, but investing isn't without risk, which a warning on the Crowdcube page stresses Credit: crowdcube/gemandtonic 5 She shared a look into the company's successes to date, but trolls weren't impressed Credit: Instagram/glouiseatkinson "Every single product combines scientifically-proven ingredients with mineral rich gemstones," she said. As she prepares to "officially launch" the brand in September 2025, Gemma has decided to try and raise funds through Crowdcube - which asks people to "invest in Europe's best startups". On the Crowdcube page, which has already raised £48,296 from 354 different investors, Gemma says: "We're now looking to raise £500,000 to officially launch in September 2025 to continue the movement and the community we've already started. "If you're looking to invest in a brand with a real community in real demand, you've found yourself a real good gem." The page also highlights some of the company's successes to date, including the fact they made £127,000 in pre-order sales in just three weeks. The equity investment has a share price of 90p and a pre-money valuation of £2.25 million. "The Company had already raised £250,000 prior to the Crowdcube raise," the page reads. "For the avoidance of doubt, this has been included in the pre-money valuation displayed in the pitch." And for those investing in the business, there are various 'rewards' for doing so - all of which start from an investment of £50. Investing £50 will get you a signed thank you card from Gemma, while for £25,000 you'll get to "meet Gemma and have lunch with the G&T team", as well as an investor-only lifetime discount of 15%, a product bundle, an invite to the press launch, lifetime early access to new products and Gemma's signed thank you note. Gemma Atkinson reveals her hit CBeebies show has been AXED after just one series However there's also a warning at the top of the Crowdcube page, which reads: "Don't invest unless you're prepared to lose all the money you invest. "This is a high-risk investment and you are unlikely to be protected if something goes wrong." News of Gemma's crowdfunding efforts quickly made its way onto social media, with trolls using the comments section of the videos to have their say on the controversial move. "Why hasn't she used her own money?" one wrote. "I don't want to Invest of your not engaged to the hilt in every financial way." "Crowd funding to make herself rich," another added. What is crowdfunding? Crowdfunding is a popular choice for startups trying to raise money, typically via the internet. It's described as an alternative way to fund projects "without standard financial intermediaries". There are four different ways of crowdfunding: rewards-based, equity-based, debt-based and donation-based. Judging by Gemma's Crowdcube page, it seems she has adopted a reward-based approach to the funding attempt, with investors offered perks in exchange for their financial support. "Ok send me money and I'll start a business!" "So she wants people to help her… doesn't she know about the cost of living crisis us normal people are dealing with?" a third commented. "Over 1/2 mil in her bank - usual rich get richer!" someone else sighed. "Crowd funding? Gemma can do one," another raged. "Bloody hell she has more than most for money!" someone else said. And as another labelled it ridiculous, someone else agreed, writing: "Clearly not confident in her own idea to fully invest herself, putting up her property as collateral. "Guaranteed to fail." "She's got a nerve!" another commented. However, there were those in the comments who came to Gemma's defense. Crowdfunding to make herself rich! Social media commenter "She isn't making you invest!" one wrote. "I say fair play to her and wish her well." "Think she's asking for £10 as a minimum, which is reasonable," another added. "She's kept her community involved from the get go - naming, scents etc so I don't see the issue." "Shame to see so many women tearing other women down regardless of their status or financial situation!!" a third sighed. "So much hate in the world these days already." 5 Some angry commenters even told Gemma to "do one" after hearing about her crowdfunding efforts Credit: Instagram/glouiseatkinson

I'm a luxury wedding planner — we should be thrilled by Jeff Bezos' celebrations

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have officially tied the not in a luxury Venetian wedding — and the celebrations have been about as over the top as you'd expect. The Amazon billionaire and his new wife celebrated in front of 200 VIP guests, following days of blatant excess in the floating city, two years after the billionaire proposed to the TV journalist on his $500 million superyacht. While locals have been protesting the 'absurd wealth theatre' on display – with creepy mannequins of the pair spotted floating through the Venice canals — Jeff has been pictured frolicking in the suds of a foam party aboard his lavish yacht before the big day. Guests began arriving earlier this week, with the likes of Ivanka Trump, Barbara Streisand, Kim Kardashian and Bill Gates jetting in. But things haven't exactly gone to plan: Thursday's pre-wedding party at the historic Madonna dell-Orto cloisters was hit by torrential rain. A-listers including Kylie Jenner were forced to take cover during the freak thunderstorm. Because even billionaires can't control the weather… yet. But according to top UK wedding planner Mark Niemierko, we shouldn't be rolling our eyes — we should be getting inspired. 'I think overall myself, and other fellow planners in the industry are excited,' he tells Metro. 'While their taste might not be to everyone's liking, I feel this is what is most important when it comes to planning and designing your wedding – being yourself.' Mark has been a luxury wedding planner for 20 years, with a client list that includes Julia and James Cordon and Rochelle and Marvin Humes. His company, Niemierko, has even planned weddings attended by royalty. After seeing enough drab wedding concepts while in the business, he's excited to see someone doing something different. 'I am thrilled we might have a break in the beige weddings taking over Instagram, the algorithm needs a refresh,' he says. 'Overall, I'm loving every minute from the leaked gift Registry card of the invites, to the foam party snaps, to the drama of having to move venues.' Mark knows a thing or two about excess — he's planned countless weddings, with the average budget stretching between £500,000 and £750,000, and some soaring into the millions. Think six-figure cake rooms, karaoke machines on the dance floor, private jets for a family's pet dog (and the pet's walker), entire countryside hotels restaffed top to bottom, and the London Museum's Christmas decorations removed overnight to fit a bride's specific vision. 'Very early on I learnt to listen to my couples, to ensure I created days around them – and not my own personal taste and style,' he says. 'Back in 2006, a bride told me she wanted this 'booth thing', a bit like at train stations where you have your passport photo taken. I immediately thought, what, that won't work. Well, it was and photo booths are now as common at weddings as confetti.' But, is there such a thing as too much? Mark says: 'The only time I draw a line is if it will ruin the guest experience. If it's a mad idea that'll work and keep guests guessing, and the night alive and not dull – I'm all for it. 'But if it's long-winded and service will be affected, I'll likely ensure we ditch it.' For Mark, the best weddings aren't just stylish, they're fun. 'Humour I think is a very important part of a wedding day, if it's all taking yourselves too seriously, posing for photos – where's the moment in that? Less fake, more fun I say,' he adds. If you're planning a wedding – but don't have quite the same budget as Jeff and Lauren, according to Nick there are still things you can do to make sure your nuptials have an A-list vibe. 'I think loos generally are the most important things,' he says. 'Whether you're at an airport or a nightclub, we all need to go for a wee. It shouldn't be an experience of 'Oh my God! I need to go for a wee, but I need to get out of this room so quickly'. 'It should be 'Oh my god, this is insane. I want to stay in here all night.' Mark doesn't hold back when it comes to styling the bathrooms at his weddings, adding everything from scented candles to tarot card readers to pleasantly surprise guests. One simple tip? He says: 'Get yourself crystal decanters, fill them up with mouthwash, get little paper cups and put them on the side. 'There's nothing more fabulous than being on a night out and thinking, 'I almost feel like I've brushed my teeth'.' Obviously, Mark adds, don't be stingy on your choice of soap, and if you can, add personal touches. 'I love doing a sweet jar full of every different coloured vaseline.' And, if he finds out which perfumes the couple wears, he might add little bottles of them in the bathroom. 'But, just beware. They're going to get nabbed,' he adds. 'A guest is going to take them. Someone will steal them.' Next on Mark's essentials list? The bar. And not just what's in it, but where it is. 'You could not be a drinker. But you still need a drink. So the bar is going to need to be fully stocked,' he says. 'If you can't afford to water and feed all of your guests, then don't invite them. Have a fully open bar if you can afford it.' You want to make sure it's close to the action. Mark advises: 'Don't have it separate from the dance room, because you'll end up with a split group, and you want it closer to where the dancing is. More Trending 'Not on top of the dance floor, but close enough to make sure it's flowing and whoever's managing it doesn't run out of glassware. It needs to flow.' You might assume it's all over when the music stops, but Mark wants guests to be surprised until the very last moment. He's even set up a Shawarma kebab stall for guests to enjoy on their way out. 'Can you imagine what the guests are saying to each other when they leave that wedding? They're drunk and they're turning to each other, probably talking with their mouths full, going, 'Oh my God! This is the best wedding I've ever been to'.' Battersea Power Station (pre-renovation) – one of Mark's early large-scale projects was held at Battersea Power Station when it was still derelict in 2012. He turned it into a grand-scale rock-and-roll wedding. He says: 'It's funny going back there now and it's all so polished and beautiful.' British Pullman Train – in 2012, Mark transported guests to a countryside wedding at Blenheim Palace via the Belmond British Pullman Train. 'Everyone got on the British Pullman, and we had a fabulous dinner on the train. Then you arrived in Woodstock, and your hotel was taken care of,' he says. The British Museum – Mark orchestrated the first-ever wedding at the British Museum for just 20 guests in 2018. 'Guests didn't know where they were going,' he says. 'We did a very simple registry office and then they got in cars to a mystery venue and pulled up at the British Museum. It was like Night at the Museum. Totally empty. And then you walked to the Egyptian galleries and that's where we had a dinner. It was quite epic.' Private jet for dogs – Niemierko has gone the extra mile for all sorts of guests. 'There's obviously been private jets for dogs, he says. 'We can't say where they were flying from, but we had to make sure that dog was somewhere else and they pretty much flew with a staff member on a private jet.' Do you have a story to share? Zara McDermott swipes at ‘frustrating' Sam Thompson split and reveals ‘real relationship' after moving on with Louis

The 28-year-old, who shot to fame on Love Island in 2018, now believes she has found her calling in life NEW START Zara McDermott swipes at 'frustrating' Sam Thompson split and reveals 'real relationship' after moving on with Louis THIS time last year Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson were the golden couple of social media - making thousands off their relationship dynamic online. But fast forward to today and the pair are no longer speaking - let alone making videos together and now for the first time, Zara has opened up on their "frustrating" break up. 10 Zara McDermott has opened up on her split from Sam Thompson Credit: Instagram 10 Sam and Zara's new man Louis Tomlinson came face to face at Soccer Aid earlier this month Credit: Getty 10 Sam and Zara confirmed their split at the start of this year after five year together Credit: Instagram 10 Zara and Louis pictured during a loved-up holiday in Costa Rica last month Credit: BackGrid The pair called time on their five-year romance just after Christmas and not long afterwards The Sun revealed the Love Island star, 28, was dating One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, 33. And in a pointed dig, Zara has insisted social media is no longer important to her as she stressed how focused she now is on "real" relationships - which will no doubt come as a blow for Insta star Sam, who was left blindsided by her new and very public romance. The one-time couple built a whole brand around their social media presence and commanded huge fees to appear in unique and witty online ads together. I'm A Celebrity winner Sam and One Direction singer Louis came face to face earlier this month when they both appeared at Soccer Aid - propelling scrutiny about Zara's personal life to an all time high. Addressing their awkward pitchside head-to-head, Zara insists: 'The only thing in my life that's worth writing about is the work I do. 'I see some of the things that are written and I'm like, 'Why do we focus on the non-existent drama?' Sometimes that can be frustrating, but I suppose it's all part of the industry.' Zara shot to fame on Love Island in 2018, but her career seven years on is a world away from that carefree coupling-up contest in a Mallorcan villa. She has turned her hand to delivering important documentaries - and has already covered topics such as revenge porn, rape culture and eating disorders. Surprisingly, it's meant Zara no longer feels connected to social media in the same way - and despite making thousands from being an ambassador for the likes of L'Oreal Paris and Sure, she says she no longer 'cares'. She banked £4,438 per week last year at Zara Nicole McDermott Limited, the private firm into which she channels her earnings. Louis Tomlinson squeezes Zara McDermott's bum as they kiss on romantic holiday in Costa Rica 'I spend my day job going out and filming with really vulnerable people. And it's shaped me so much as a person that it's made me not sweat the small stuff any more, ' she explains. 'I don't care about social media as much as I used to, or about the aesthetic or the image. I value so much real relationships and real support around me, and being that to other people. 'I'm a totally different person to the one I was when I was 21 years old and stepped into what appeared to be a glitzy world of showbiz. My day to day life is not at all glitz and glamour.' There comes a point where you have to move on Zara on Love Island It's hard to imagine when you look at her incredibly glossy Instagram page - filled with aesthetically pleasing bikini shots and gorgeous cooking videos. But peppered amongst them, Zara posts about her documentaries, which boyfriend Louis has gushed about being so 'proud' of. 10 Zara is now a successful documentary film maker Credit: Instagram 10 She has said she no longer cares so much about social media Credit: zara_mcdermott/Instagram 10 Louis has said how proud he is of Zara and her work Credit: Splash Now, Zara is raising awareness of the horrifying facts about stalking in Britain - and the lack of justice for the victims. The star - who's also filmed a documentary about Thailand's sex industry that should air this year - feels she's found her niche, learning about film-making and creating programmes tackling crucial issues, rather than trading on her time in a bikini by a sun-drenched pool. 'I'm a completely different person' Zara, who worked in the Department for Education as a policy adviser before signing up for Love Island, explains: 'I'm a completely different person to the one that I was when I was 20 or 21 years old. "I've grown and changed beyond recognition - for the good, for sure. I've become so much more aware of issues and what really goes on in the world. Now I'm exploring some very deep, dark, traumatic topics. 'It was an amazing experience, Love Island. It was great fun. But I was only in for 10 days, can you believe it? It was literally blink and you'd miss me. I don't necessarily think I was born to be in front of the camera. 'People might have misconceptions about me, think that because I went on Love Island and because of the social media work that I do, that I love being in front of the camera. I don't think I'm a natural - that's why I only lasted 10 days on Love Island. Because I barely said a word, I was so scared and petrified! 'I was always quite a shy, nervous teenager and young person. So that was a real step out of my comfort zone. And I still think every day that being in front of the camera is a step out of my comfort zone.' 10 The stunning star has moved on from her Love Island days Credit: Getty 10 Zara appeared on the reality dating show in 2018 Credit: Rex 'Born to listen and tell stories' And she now believes she has found her calling in life - and she's ready to put Love Island, which saw her couple up with Lothario Adam Collard, firmly behind her. 'There comes a point where you have to move on. I'm still a massive fan of the show, I still love it,' she explains. ' But when I came out of Love Island it was always so important for me that I do something positive with it, and something that can really make a difference in society. 'I think I was born to listen and help people tell stories. It's an absolute honour and a privilege. But I think if you'd told my 14-year-old self that I would be a presenter, I would have said, 'No way!' While there will be times when former Strictly star Zara may feel like her every move is being watched and scrutinised, in her new two-part documentary series, she's focusing on the stories of women who spend every day in fear of exactly that - terrified of the next text message they'll get and too scared to go out, because they're being stalked. Zara spent months working with the courageous women prepared to share their shocking stories on screen. 'I always knew how much risk the contributors are putting themselves at by going in front of the camera,' she explains. 'Their bravery, I think, was one of the things that astounded me throughout this process. And their vulnerability. "One thing I learned about stalking is that it's a crime that doesn't discriminate. Any age, any gender, any ethnicity, any background. It doesn't matter who you are, where you're from, anyone can be a victim of stalking.' Just dance Zara admits that competing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023 pushed her to the limit. 'My dad has always taught me: 'If you think you can't do something and you say you're not going to do it, then you won't,'' shares Zara. 'There'll be moments where every bone in your body will be telling you: 'Do not do this.' It's crazy [on Strictly] - the nerves, like you're going to pass out, throw up… All the things that you feel before you go out on a Saturday night show and dance when you're not a dancer! 'But there's something so character-building about pushing through that experience and that feeling of: 'I'm going to pass out because I'm so nervous and so petrified.' But that feeling when you do it… It definitely builds your resilience and it built my confidence a lot in front of the camera.' The facts around stalking make horrifying reading. One in five young people in the UK have experienced stalking or harassment, yet only six per cent of reports lead to a charge and less than two per cent end in a conviction. 'You can see why victims are scared to speak out and are scared to go to the police,' admits Zara, 'because those figures are shockingly low.' Three quarters of stalkers are the ex-partner of victims, but some people are stalked by total strangers. Zara meets women in both situations and heads out with police attempting to arrest a suspect. And she says the relationships she builds don't end when the cameras stop rolling. 'I can't ever just walk away from the end of that project and think: 'I'm done,'' she reveals. 'That relationship to me is so sacred. I think about every single contributor that I've ever been with for my documentaries every day. "Something will remind me of them, because I don't take any moment with them for granted. They have been so brave and shared their stories. I can't ever forget that or let that go, it's so special to me.' Zara says she hasn't been stalked, but feels a huge empathy for people who have been victims. 'I've never been through something like this, so I'll never be able to fully understand. But I hope that this documentary gives people the ability to understand, or try to understand, in the way that I have,' she explains. 'I think one of the most incredible things about my job is that I learn every single day. It's about just being there for them and being able to give them a voice, and being next to them and holding their hands. 'I end up absorbing a lot of that emotion, for sure. And I feel a lot of sadness for them, a lot of guilt that they have to go through this horrendous experience and that sense of injustice.' And for now it seems Zara really has found her niche, making skits online with her boyfriend is very much a thing of the past and with the support of Louis behind her, there are no limits to her possibilities and potential.
