A fan got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend during Oasis' gig at Murrayfield last night with fans thrilled for the pair and celebrated with the couple throughout the night
Oasis mania has been reaching new heights with each gig from their comeback tour and last night's sold-out show in Murrayfield was no different. Liam and Noel Gallagher took to the stage for the first of three shows in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Up to 70,000 fans made their way to Scotland's home of rugby for eagerly-anticipated two-hour show, featuring 23 songs from the duo's impressive discography. During the show, a pair of fans got engaged while the hit song Slide Away was being performed.

In a clip shared on social media, Liam, 52, can be seen on stage crooning away to the 1994 classic before the camera pans to the audience. While he sings the lyrics 'Now that you're mine', a man gets down on one knee and asks a woman to marry him.

The lady in question is wearing and Oasis t-shirt and a bucket hat as she excitedly says yes to the proposal as he pops the ring on her finger and they kiss in the adorable moment. It comes after Paul Weller reveals the unusual reason he refuses to watch Oasis concerts.
The social media page Gigs in Scotland shared the sweet clip on their feed and captioned it: 'We caught a very special moment during Slide Away. Huge congrats to the happy couple!'

Fans flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts as the bride-to-be herself expressed: 'Thank you @gigsinscotland for filming and sharing our special moment.'
Somebody else gushed: 'Aww stop it, that's so cute,' while another social media user commented: 'Imagine Oasis performing at your proposal.' Someone else wrote on Instagram: 'Love this! They'll get to watch this back forever now.'
Oasis will continue their shows in Edinburgh tonight (Saturday 9 August) and Tuesday (12 August) before heading to Ireland to play two shows at Croke Park in Dublin on 16 and 17 August.

Liam and Noel, 58, will then travel to Canada and America for shows in Toronto, Chicago, LA and Mexico City before coming back to London for two more big gigs at Wembley towards the end of September.
The brothers will follow up their action-packed schedule with Asia, Australia and South America before ending their comeback tour on 23 November in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Oasis Live' 25 Tour began on 4 July at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff before they headed to their native Manchester with five shows at Heaton Park. They then did five shows in London's Wembley's Stadium before their current dates in Scotland.
The brothers announced their comeback tour in August 2024, with them sharing the news on social media and saying: 'This is it, this is happening. The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.'
This is the first time Liam and Noel have performed together in 15 years, following their highly-publicised fall-out which led to them icing each other out of their lives.
Fans have been going gaga for Oasis all over the world, with tickets selling out within minutes and thousands descending on each city to see the much-loved duo.

Molly-Mae Hague sparks outrage among fans after jetting off on tenth holiday this year

Former Love Island star and influencer Molly-Mae Hague enjoyed a luxury holiday in Turkey with Tommy Fury and daughter Bambi but fans have been left unimpressed Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have just returned back to the UK after soaking up the sun in Turkey on their latest family holiday. ‌ The former Love Island stars have both shared wholesome snaps of their getaway with baby Bambi. However, some of Molly-Mae's followers have been left baffled by her recent confession that she's had a 'boring' summer and rushed to remind her of her confession in the comment section. ‌ Fresh from spending some time in St. Tropez, Molly-Mae, 26, enjoyed the delights of the Turkish resort city of Antalya with her beau and the couples two-year-old daughter after admitting that she had never been to Turkey before. ‌ The mum-of-one and her partner Tommy, 26, stayed at a £2,000 a night hotel, which "has been carefully curated to deliver a true family holiday without compromise" and boasts 553 spacious suites and private villas. Regnum Aquatlantis is a favourite with many celebrities as Stacey Solomon calls it her "second home". Meanwhile, the likes of Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, Jason Derulo and Sir Tom Jones have also checked into the hotel group's other sites across the world. ‌ The vacation is a welcome break for Molly-Mae, who recently bemoaned her lack of a social life. "I will get to the end of summer without having done one fun thing," the reality TV star moaned while talking to her sister Zoe in July. "Zoe, I haven't socialised once. I am going to get to the end of this summer, I haven't done one social fun thing. I haven't a life. I haven't a life. It's not good. "It's all kids-related, if it's not work and kids I am not doing anything. It's not good. People going for a drink with their friends or to a beer garden." ‌ She added: "Oh my gosh, I don't remember the last time I did my hair and makeup and put an outfit on for something that wasn't work related. I don't do anything. Lets normalise it. For the girls that are going to get to the end of summer and not done one fun thing." After sharing a number of wholesome family photos with Tommy and Bambi, several of Molly-Mae's followers flocked to the comment section to remind her of her 'tone deaf' complaint. ‌ They hit out at the influencer given that she has already been on over ten big holidays this year as well as a couple of luxury getaways in the UK. Underneath her latest Instagram offering, one user wrote: "Molly doing not one fun thing …again." Another added: "Still don't think you've done anything fun yet Molly?" "She's been on holiday 3 or 4 times in like two months and said she has done nothing fun all summer. Make it make sense," someone else complained. ‌ "Oh is this the boring summer where you've done nothing?? lol," another follower commented under the post. Another unimpressed Instagram user echoed: "God she's so out of touch. Flying off to Turkey on a whim and then says she's done nothing all summer." ‌ The criticism from fans came because Molly-Mae had been updating her followers on her busy summer where she attended Wimbledon, went on a family motorhome holiday in the Isle of Man. The former Love Island star has been on at least ten holidays this year already after two trips to Dubai, Budapest, Paris, St. Moritz, and Disneyland Paris, as well as her most recent trip to Turkey. Molly-Mae also took a very luxurious trip to Saint Tropez last month.

Study finds Gen Z cutting back on essentials to afford live music events

The study of 2,000 adults found 46 per cent of 21-24 year olds went as far as to say they believe concerts and gigs can feel out of reach for most people A recent survey of 2,000 adults revealed that nearly half of those aged 21-24 feel live music events like concerts and gigs are often too pricey for the average person to attend. ‌ Despite feeling priced out, Gen Z isn't giving up on live music, with two-thirds having been to at least one gig in the past year, shelling out an average of £117 for a top-priced ticket. ‌ To afford their musical outings, almost a fifth of young adults have scrimped on daily necessities, while over a quarter ditched a subscription service, and 15% admitted to spending more on gigs than their monthly utility bills. It comes after Paul Weller reveals the unusual reason he refuses to watch Oasis concerts. ‌ Dave Edmunds is critically ill in hospital after the Christmas No 1 singer 'dies in wife's arms.' ‌ The research was initiated by Greene King in celebration of hosting the 'biggest pub gig ever', featuring a surprise set by Sam Ryder at The Anchor on London's Southbank, among 800 acts across its venues. As part of the Greene King Untapped initiative, which aims to discover new musical talent, Eurovision sensation Sam Ryder performed a 35-minute set free of charge for attendees. Sam Ryder, now Greene King's Head of Gigs, reflected on his roots: "Playing in pubs and smaller venues was where it all started for me, with intimate venues, borrowed PA systems, and a handful of pub-goers who might become fans." ‌ He emphasised the importance of grassroots music venues, saying: "Grassroots music is at the heartbeat of the scene and those early gigs shaped who I am as an artist." Ryder also highlighted the role these venues play in making live music accessible: "These spaces allow live music to be an experience available to everyone, that's why they're so important, and I'm stoked to be a part of the team helping to keep that alive." ‌ The research also found that across the board, 40% of all adults surveyed feel they've been priced out of live music experiences – missing an average of three gigs in the past year alone. Meanwhile, half have been left disappointed after wanting to catch a musical act but finding tickets had sold out at lightning speed. The findings further showed that 53% consider live music ticket costs to be unjust, with 67% believing prices have reached unreasonable levels in recent times. A substantial 61% stated they'd attend far more concerts if they were more affordable. The study additionally uncovered that 41% feel most energised when experiencing live music, whilst 63% acknowledged that the buzz of a live show simply can't be replicated through digital means. Furthermore, 38% have experienced the fear of missing out after spotting concert footage on social media for events they couldn't make it to. Zoe Bowley, managing director at Greene King Pubs, said: "Pubs have long been the heartland of grassroots music, a place where emerging talent takes root, stars are born, and communities come together. It's where British people do what they do best: connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories."
