Kaizer Chiefs strike partnership with new women's team
Springs Home Sweepers FC, a women's football team, is owned by Chiefs legend Joseph 'Skeshekeshe' Mkhonza.
This is an Amakhosi's step to ensure that their participation in next CAF Confederation Cup is not affected.
As per the rules adopted two years ago, no team will take part in any CAF inter-club competition without a women's team.
Chiefs will return to continental football for the first time in five years following their Nedbank Cup triumph in May this year.

'Kaizer Chiefs is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Springs Home Sweepers Football Club, marking a significant step in the continued support and development of women's football in South Africa,' reads part of a statement.
'The Club's involvement in the women's game has always been a priority. Over the past few years, Chiefs and Home Sweepers have cultivated a collaborative relationship, sharing insights and working closely to uplift the women's football landscape.
'This newly formalised partnership will continue in that spirit, with a focus on strategic and technical development to ensure sustained success both on and off the pitch.'
'The selection of Home Sweepers as a partner club is especially meaningful. The Springs based club is owned by Joseph 'Skeshekeshe' Mkhonza, a former Amakhosi player, and father of the late Siphiwe Mkhonza, who also played for the Glamour Boys,' added the statement.

Kaizer Chiefs: Full list of new signings and departures
Kaizer Chiefs have made their seventh signing of the season after confirming the arrival of Asanele Velebayi. Amakhosi have been linked with the 22-year-old winger for over a year. Following Cape Town Spurs' relegation to the ABC Motsepe League, the Soweto giants swiftly pounced on landing the player's signature on a free transfer, but the Urban Warriors did not go down without a fight. The Cape side insisted they are entitled to a transfer fee despite their relegation to the third division. It appears, though, that Chiefs might have had the last laugh after all. 'Asanele Velebayi has officially joined Kaizer Chiefs,' Amakhosi said in a statement on Tuesday. 'The Cape Town-born winger has signed a long-term contract, fulfilling his lifelong dream of wearing the Gold & Black colours of Amakhosi.' 'We are happy to finally have Asanele with us,' said Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. 'He is a great addition, and we believe he will add significant value because he is a perfect fit for our game model and the culture we have here at the Club.' Velebayi becomes the seventh signing after Ethan Chislett, Nkanyiso Shinga, Thabiso Monyane, Paseka Mako, Flavio Silva and Siphesihle Ndlovu. So far, Chiefs have parted ways with Njabulo Blom, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Sabelo Radebe, Bongani Sam, Edmilson Dove, Edson Castillo, Yusuf Maart, Tebogo Potsane and Ranga Chivaviro Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. Kaizer Chiefs latest: Where will Asanele Velebayi fit in at Naturena?
Asanele Velebayi is officially a Kaizer Chiefs player following the PSL DRC ruling to declare him a free agent on Monday. Of course, Cape Town Spurs feel cheated on by the latest developments given that they once wanted R10 million for Velebayi. However, that's not how the PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber (PSL DRC) saw the matter as they ruled in Velebayi's favour. Now, having been officially unveiled by Amakhosi on Tuesday, The South African takes a look at where the 22-year-old will fit in at Naturena. Velebayi is renowned for his speed and skill to eliminate opposition defenders, and this is the kind of player Chiefs needed. Given their quick transition play under Nasreddine Nabi, Chiefs need a speedy player to get into the opposition box as quickly as possible. Pule Mmodi has been that player for Chiefs over the past two seasons, but he's sometimes flat, and ended up not giving his team the much needed width. The majority of Chiefs wingers are not necessarily able to take on defenders, and often lose possession cheaply in the final third. And should Velebayi be given that role to play – either on the left or on the write wing – he shouldn't be expected to do much of a defending. After all, Velebayi was signed to strengthen Amakhosi's attack and help them score goals. He has penned down a four-year deal with Chiefs. Meaning, he will be an Amakhosi player until 2029. His teammate, Luke Baartman is expected to be unveiled next by Chiefs.
