Morgan is the second alleged figure of the Fast Guns gang to be assassinated in recent years.
In February 2023, Keenan Sheldon Ebrahiem was shot dead in Florida under similar circumstances.
At the time, police reported that Ebrahiem was driving a Mercedes-Benz when gunmen in a silver VW Jetta 6 opened fire.
He lost control of the vehicle, hit the pavement, and later died in the hospital.
The Fast Guns are based largely on the West Rand.
Authorities have urged anyone with information on Morgan's killing to contact the Crime Stop line on 08600 10111 or submit anonymous tip-offs via the MySAPS App.

Police urge public vigilance and cooperation
The police in Sebokeng are appealing to all community members to take safety precautions during this season. This follows a noticeable increase in house robberies, kidnappings, and armed robberies. Station Commander Brigadier Thembekile Kubone is urging residents to remain alert at all times and to avoid sharing personal financial details or their daily movements in public. According to Kubone, doing so may put individuals at greater risk, as criminals often use this information to plan their attacks. According to the police, criminals are constantly changing their modus operandi. 'Recently, criminals have been targeting homes where cars are parked outside while people are gathering, households with pensioners expecting payouts, individuals awaiting Road Accident Fund payments, and families who have recently suffered the loss of a loved one. 'In these cases, victims are often forced to download banking apps, and funeral or insurance payouts are then fraudulently transferred to unknown accounts.' The police encourage anyone in danger to shout for help, blow a whistle if possible, and contact police in Sebokeng immediately on 016 466 2047, 082 498 9563, 112, 10111, 08600 10111, or via MySAPS App., national emergency lines, or the MySAPS mobile app. Kubone urges members of the community to stay cautious and work together with the police to help prevent crime during this challenging time. 3 arrested after Mkhondo councillor's 2022 murder
Three suspects, aged between 32 and 36, have been charged with the murder of Mkhondo Municipality councillor Muzi Manyathi. According to Lowvelder, the breakthrough comes nearly three years after Manyathi was gunned down at a fuel station in Mkhondo on the evening of November 4, 2022. The charges were laid yesterday, and the suspects were expected to appear in the Piet Retief Magistrate's Court later the same day. A police report states the suspects arrived at the fuel station in a Mercedes-Benz with Gauteng number plates. They allegedly moved from one pump to another without refuelling. One of the suspects then exited the vehicle. Manyathi was shot, allegedly by him, multiple times. The group fled the scene in the same vehicle. Mkhondo police and paramedics responded swiftly, but Manyathi was declared dead on the scene. The attack occurred just days after Manyathi posted a Facebook Live video in which he accused ANC members of being behind political killings in the Gert Sibande District. The Mercedes-Benz was later found abandoned near a dam. Investigators determined the number plates were fake and that the car had been reported stolen from Brakpan in April 2022. According to Mpumalanga police spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli, the investigation led officers to three men who were already in custody on an unrelated matter. 'Details of that case will be made available at a later stage,' he said. Acting provincial police commissioner Major General Dr Zeph Mkhwanazi praised the investigative team for their dedication. 'We made a vow that we would not rest until the perpetrators were brought to book so that justice could be served for the victim's family – and we have delivered. We trust that the suspects will be convicted and receive a harsh sentence,' he said. Breaking news at your fingertips… Follow Caxton Network News on Facebook and join our WhatsApp channel.
