Musk-linked PAC spends big to promote newly enacted megabill
President Donald Trump pounds a gavel presented to him by House Speaker Mike Johnson after he signed his signature bill at the White House on July 4, 2025. | Evan Vucci/AP By Gregory Svirnovskiy 08/04/2025 05:55 AM EDT Building America's Future, a PAC that has been supported by Elon Musk, is shelling out more than a million dollars to promote recent White House wins, including a GOP domestic policy package the Tesla CEO and former Trump administration employee once called 'a disgusting abomination.' The 30-second ad, titled 'Independence,' is set to run nationally on Fox News and will congratulate President Donald Trump on the passage of Republicans' 'One Big, Beautiful Bill,' which extends his 2017 tax cuts alongside other GOP wins at the expense of nearly $1 trillion in coming Medicaid cuts. 'This Independence Day, President Trump and Congress made the working family tax cuts law,' the spot, which is to debut Monday, will say. 'Freeing Americans from taxes on their tips and overtime, doubling the child tax credit, and cutting taxes for seniors. Republicans know that our country is better off when working families keep more of what they earn. Now, they will.'

Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson Get Nod From Natasha Richardson's Sister
Over the last couple of weeks, there has been a whole load of speculation surrounding Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson after fans were struck by their palpable off-screen chemistry during the promo tour for their movie, The Naked Gun. While neither of them has confirmed the romance, they've openly shared their admiration for one another during a whole bunch of interviews and red carpet appearances. Then, at the New York premiere of the movie, the stars were joined by their respective sons and posed on the red carpet together like one big happy family, fueling the dating rumors. After that, People reported that Pam, 58, and 73-year-old Liam are indeed enjoying a 'budding romance in the early stages,' with an insider going on to add: 'It's sincere, and it's clear they're smitten with each other." It comes after Liam had previously said that he was done with dating following the tragic death of his wife, Natasha Richardson, in 2009. For context, Liam and Natasha met back in 1993 when they starred opposite each other in the Broadway revival of Anna Christie. They got married just one year later, in July 1994, and went on to welcome two children together, Micheál, 30, and Daniel, 28. But tragedy struck in March 2009, when Natasha slipped and fell while skiing on a beginner's slope with an instructor in Quebec. At first, she reportedly brushed off the severity of the fall, but she soon became incredibly unwell and was rushed to the hospital. During a 2014 interview with Anderson Cooper, Liam recalled the phone call he had with Natasha before she was taken to the hospital. He shared: 'She said, 'Oh darling. I've taken a tumble in the snow.' That's how she described it.'Liam rushed from a movie set to be by her side, and when he arrived, he was shown an X-ray that confirmed Natasha was 'brain dead.'He said that he and his wife had 'made a pact' that if either of them ever 'got into a vegetative state, that [they'd] pull the plug.' Natasha was transported back to New York, where she died surrounded by her friends and family. Liam has only been in one public relationship since Natasha's death, dating a PR exec called Freya St. Johnston for two years before they split in 2012. Just last year, the star told People 'I'm past all that' when asked about dating. And with all of this in mind, fans were left touched when they spotted an Instagram comment from Natasha's sister, Joely Richardson, over the weekend that suggested that she has given Liam and Pamela's new relationship her seal of approval. It came after Pam shared a carousel of photos of herself and Liam celebrating their new movie to her Instagram page, and Joely poignantly left seven red heart emojis in the comment section. For reference, Joely is also an actor, and she has always been incredibly open when it comes to discussing her sister's death over the years. Back in January, she shared a black and white childhood photo of herself and Natasha as she reflected on her 60th birthday. She wrote: 'Me and my sister Tasha. On my birthday people seemed astonished that I was happy to be turning sixty. Why wouldn't I be? It's not like the numbers jumped from 25 to 60. All the years and decades in between were LIVED.' 'Now I get to be this number and investigate how I find it . '60 is the new 40' people say- I say 'why does it need to be? I did that one 2 decades ago'. 'Age is just a number ' is commonly said , but it's not,' she went on. 'It's a badge saying I made it to this station on the road. So many didn't, so , it's a blessing.' As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
