Ariana Grande Wore Whimsical Valentino Bow Pumps Ahead of 'Wicked' Tokyo Premiere
Ariana Grande modeled head-to-toe Valentino on social media yesterday.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the 'Break Free' hitmaker showed off a head-turning Valentino minidress and bow-embellished pumps in a carousel post spotlighting the film's Tokyo premiere earlier this week. The 'Wicked' star wore Valentino's Bowwow pumps in ivory with a bold number from the brand's spring 2025 'Pavillon Des Folies' collection.

The coquette style's upper, including the bow detail on the vamp, is crafted in smooth leather while the low, subtly slanted block heel measures 1.8 inches. The Bowow is complete with rounded square toes, ornate floral-print insoles, and the brand's signature 'V' logo in an antique brass effect on the side of the heel. Also offered in black and pink versions, the $1,050 kitten-heel pumps are currently available to shop on valentino.com.
As for her dress, it came in light pink, with a high neck, poofy long sleeves, and a short A-line skirt with pleating. The bold design had a textured appearance and boasted an eye-catching bow-inspired fur accent with tan feathers at the front. The 'thank you, next' singer also donned gloves and white lace stockings, making the look even more romantic. Grande covered up the dress with an oversized black puffer coat courtesy of Maison Margiela at the Tokyo airport on Tuesday.
Grande has been working exclusively with celebrity stylist Mimi Cuttrell, who also posted an Instagram of her in the Valentino look today. Throughout the 'Wicked' press tour and awards season, Cuttrell has put her in countless show-stopping looks.
Grande is nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the highly-anticipated musical. For the Tokyo premiere on Wednesday, she hit the red carpet in a custom Louis Vuitton ballgown. She styled the silky white strapless look with a headpiece adorned with pink cherry blossoms, a national symbol of Japan.
Grande wowed in another custom Louis Vuitton gown, a plunging black and pink look, teamed with Jimmy Choo's Romy pumps in black at the BAFTAs on Feb. 16. Appearing on the March cover of Vogue Italia, the former Nickelodeon star models spring 2025 looks from Richard Quinn, Gucci, Dior, Alexander McQueen, Valentino, and Paco Rabanne. Additionally, posing in the Hollywood Reporter this month, she can be seen in a Khaite spring 2025 dress, as well as an outrageous Schiaparelli spring 2024 couture dress paired with crystal ball-embellished pumps.

Cynthia Erivo and Oprah recreated Wicked's 'holding space' meme to open 2025 Tony Awards
Cynthia Erivo and Oprah recreated Wicked's 'holding space' meme to open 2025 Tony Awards It wasn't that long ago that "holding space" took over as the big internet meme thanks to Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. On Sunday, Erivo and Oprah Winfrey brought it back in a subtle way during the opening of the 2025 Tony Awards. Back in November 2024 during Wicked's press tour, Erivo and Grande had a bizarre moment with an interviewer from about the lyrics of the showstopper "Defying Gravity". In it, the phrase "holding space" was used and the meme was born from there, with Grande also awkwardly holding Erivo's finger amidst the conversation. It's been some time since we, as a society, held space for the "holding space" meme, but on Sunday, Erivo and Oprah Winfrey recreated the moment during the introduction to the 2025 Tony Awards.
