Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and his husband John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) make plans to leave Emmerdale in upcoming episodes, as each of them is struggling with a secret guilt.
John carries a lot of guilt, obviously, what with him being responsible for the death of Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter), and for the death of a man called Owen he left to die and then framed for Nate's murder by writing a fake suicide note from him.
Not to mention all the times he's drugged people or bashed them over the head and then 'rescued' them, just because he likes rescuing people and getting the glory for it.
It's all quite a lot to deal with, and in episodes airing soon things start to spiral out of control.
Liam (Jonny McPherson) is told by the police that they've found an inconsistency in the suicide note that was found with Owen's body and they're reopening the case, not satisfied any more that Owen really did kill Nate.
John feels even more guilty when he sees what this news does to Nate's widow Tracy (Amy Walsh), someone he is actually fond of and who he wanted to protect by framing Owen.
Meanwhile, Aaron is also feeling guilty, but for a wholly different reason. In a moment of passion, he and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) sleep together.
This happens as Robert hits a very low ebb, mainly caused by John's scheming to make him look bad in the eyes of his sister Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) and with Aaron.
Aaron visits him and offers him sympathy, and then admits he's been keeping away from him because he still has feelings for him. One thing leads to another and they sleep together. More Trending
Afterwards Aaron insists this was just a one-off and will never happen again, but Robert insists it's fate and they're meant to be together.

In the wake of this, Aaron feels that the only way forward is for him and John to leave the village and make a fresh start. This idea suits John perfectly, as it gets him away from the Nate Robinson investigation being reopened.
The two make plans to take an extended holiday, but before they leave John has one more move to make and we hear him making a chilling phone call.
Could Robert be in danger?

EastEnders star Michelle Ryan shares glam Zoe Slater transformation pics amid her return to the BBC soap

EastEnders star Michelle Ryan has shared before and after glam transformation snaps amid her return to the BBC soap. The actress, 41, briefly reprised her role as Zoe Slater back in June after 20 years away from Albert Square. Michelle is set to make a full time return as Zoe this summer where she'll come face-to-face with her estranged mother Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) in explosive scenes. And amid filming for her scenes, Michelle gave fans a glimpse into how she gets into character as Zoe as she snapped selfies in the make-up chair. The soap star initially showed off a bare-faced look without a scrap of make-up, before a follow-up picture showed her with eye-liner and sleeker hair. Subsequent images followed showing Michelle looking glam with a sweep of bold red lipstick, while her raven locks were styled in glam waves. Set to Modjo's 2001 track Lady (Hear Me Tonight), Michelle captioned her post writing: 'Make up transformation today in the chair. Grateful to costume and make up for helping me find the role of Zoe again over the past couple of months. 'When I first played Zoe early 2000's this song was a huge hit and played all the time.' It comes after Jessie revealed she 'burst out crying' after reuniting with her on screen daughter Michelle amid her return to the soap. During her time on the show, Michelle was involved in one of the soap's biggest storylines when it was revealed that Kat Slater (Jessie) was in fact Zoe's mother and not her sister, with explosive scenes seeing her yell: 'You ain't my mother!', only for Kat to reply: 'Yes I am!' And now, after returning to Albert Square two decades after her dramatic exit, Jessie, 53, revealed she was overcome with emotion at the news. Speaking in an interview with the Radio Times she confessed that they reunited at a secret dinner date with the executive producers. 'I burst out I saw Michelle, I cried – we were all very emotional. It was nostalgic and lovely.' While it isn't uncommon for roles to be recast in the soap world, Jessie was also determined that if Zoe returned it could only be Michelle. Michelle captioned her post writing: 'Make up transformation today in the chair. Grateful to costume and make up for helping me find the role of Zoe again over the past couple of months' 'I said to Ben [executive producer], "It has to be Michelle. It won't feel right if Zoe is recast." I wouldn't be able to give my best performance. The audience would feel completely conned.' She added: 'I love Michelle and have always been protective over her, perhaps that's natural having played her mum. I'm a mother myself now, which I wasn't when we worked together before, and I'm very protective over my daughter.' Michelle had been asked to return to the soap before but had always declined. However this time she felt the time was right after she was moved after seeing the comments on social media following EastEnders' 40th anniversary. After reminiscing on her time on the soap with colleagues she mentioned to her agent that she would go back and as coincidence would have it EastEnders had already been on the phone. Back in June Zoe made a bombshell return to the BBC soap, after her return was kept under wraps. Viewers then saw Zoe in two further episodes that week but she will now be back full-time this summer. Speaking previously on her return to the BBC soap, Michelle said: 'It feels like coming home. After doing my first few scenes, it was like I'd never been away. It all happened at the right time. 'I'd already been thinking about a return because I'd met up with Kacey Ainsworth (Little Mo) and Kim Medcalf (Sam Mitchell) and we were reminiscing our fond memories of the show, and I'd also joined social media and saw that there was still a lot of love for the character. 'It just so happened that at the same time, EastEnders had announced a new Exec who was keen to explore the potential of a return as he was such a massive fan of Zoe and the Slaters, so both of our worlds aligned at the right time, and I'm so excited to be back.

Strictly star 'almost turned down' show over terrifying stalking ordeal

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 contestant Chris Robshaw almost didn't sign up to the show after being stalked. Insiders close to the England rugby icon have said he was the subject of a harassment campaign by a woman he met briefly at two separate work events in 2024. According to reports, the abuse began six months after the pair met, and Robshaw, 39, contacted police after she threatened him with violence and spread false allegations about Robshaw and his colleagues. The Sun reports that the woman is being sought by law enforcement after leaving the country. It's claimed by the publication that the BBC is aware of the issues Robshaw and his wife, Camilla Kerslake, and two children have faced and is supporting him. 'Chris almost turned down Strictly because of what this woman has been putting him and his family through,' a source said. 'She's made some disgusting threats. It has been awful for them. 'Chris and Camilla have been told by the police they're not alone. This woman has form for what she's been doing to them and has done it to other people too.' They said that Robshaw decided to appear in the show for his son Wilding, who 'wanted mummy to laugh at his dancing.' The insider alleged that the woman made threats and allegations about Robshaw and his wife, as well as their colleagues, and that she is attempting to 'ruin Chris and Camilla's life.' Speaking to Metro, a representative for Robshaw said: 'This is an ongoing police investigation, and therefore we are unable to comment at this time. 'Chris will not be commenting further.' The source went on to describe the ordeal as 'deeply frightening' and said Robshaw contacted police 'the minute his children were put into danger.' 'This woman posted their address online and made really nasty threats against him and his family,' they continued. 'It's deeply frightening that no one has been able to stop her; she's fled the country and has been clever to avoid arrest. 'They've been advised by their case officer that the minute this woman steps back onto UK soil, she will be arrested.' The Sun reports that the woman was arrested in December and released with a caution. More Trending A source alleged Kerslake had also been targeted by the woman, with it being claimed that she contacted a company the musician was due to work with to make 'false and damaging claims.' They added that ahead of Strictly's upcoming season, Robshaw just 'wants to crack on with the competition and give it his best shot.' He was announced this week as part of the 2025 season alongside the likes of Balvinder Sopal, Dani Dyer, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, and Vicky Pattison, among others. Winner of the Richard Madeley lookalikey 2026 revealed- can you tell?

Will the real Richard Madeley please stand up? We've seen a hundred Timothee Chalamets in New York, we've had TV bad boy Danny Dyer in Soho Square, now it is the turn of Middle England hearthrob Richard Madeley to have his lookalike competition in the outskirts of Stockport. Hundreds queued around the block to watch the attempted reincarnations of the Good Morning Britain iconoclast compete at the highest level and maybe confuse poor Judy at Alexandra Park in Edgeley on Sunday. It started as a joke when a single poster offering themed prizes for the top three Good Morning Britain impersonators was stuck up in the suburbs of Stockport. But it became reality when locals expressed so much interest the organiser, Mrs Jones' realised she would have to go through with it. One entrant said: 'It was a laugh. The first prize was a giant inflatable champagne bottle, second prize was a selection of Richard & Judy books. But I don't think anyone was in it for the winnings.' After hours of deliberation, the winner was finally declared – congratulations Larry, a pug in an unmistakably wavy Richard wig. Another entrant said on Reddit: 'I didn't even place. ITV Granada interviewed me though and I simply said the pug had more game than me.' They added: 'To all the people saying this should be an annual event, it's happening next summer as well. I believe the names thrown about were Deirdre Barlow or Luke Littler.' The real Richard Madeley reportedly faced the axe from Good Morning as ITV issued sweeping changes to its daytime programming. The 69-year-old host has been a staple of the morning news show since 2017 alongside co-host Susanna Reid and was said to be receiving a lucrative £300k salary for the gig before this 'bloodbath'. On ITV Richard shared a candid insight into his 35-year marriage with fellow TV icon Judy. Recounting moments of strain in his relationship, he said: 'Well, I mean, sometimes, you'd have a row. And you'd get to work not talking. But the show was a cure.' 'I mean, it wasn't, like, false, you actually did genuinely have to come on and do the double act. You would find that within maybe 15, 20 minutes of going on air.' 'You'd just forgotten all about it because you were both focusing on the job. And so it was a very good way of processing a row.'
