Miley Cyrus says she feels 'powerful' after nude photoshoot
She appeared on the cover of the magazine's 80-page special edition zine, photographed by Paolo Roversi and Lynette Garland. Speaking about the shoot and going nude, Miley said "Even if I'm wearing nothing, there still feels like a level of power to it."
Internet reacts to her viral statement
Taking to X, many said that she is seeking attention and some even pointed out that when music doesn't work, people resort to 'such things.'
One wrote, 'Every time they run out of music, they run to shock value. Predictable.' A second went on to add, 'It's a desperate attempt to stay relevant. That's not what a powerful person needs to do for attention.' Who cares, she just wants attention from the far more beautiful Sydney Sweeney.'

Who cares, she just wants attention from the far more beautiful Sydney Sweeney
Every time they run out of music, they run to shock value. Predictable.
Miley and the public 'hate' she has often faced
Miley Cyrus has faced significant public attention and controversy throughout her career, especially during her shift from Disney star to bold pop performer. After becoming a household name as Hannah Montana, she drew criticism for her provocative image, including her 2013 VMAs performance, the nude Wrecking Ball video, and the wild persona she adopted during her Bangerz phase.
Accusations of cultural appropriation and her eventual distancing from hip-hop further fueled backlash. Her personal life, including a very public divorce from Liam Hemsworth and a series of headline-making relationships, kept her in the spotlight. Despite facing ups and downs, Miley has consistently demonstrated her vocal strength and authenticity. With a Grammy win for 'Flowers' and the success of Plastic Hearts, she has cemented her place in the music world while embracing her evolution.

How a friendship bracelet sparked a romance: The Taylor Swift–Travis Kelce timeline
Source: Getty Images Taylor Swift 's love life has always been a talking point, but her romance with NFL star Travis Kelce has unfolded like a cultural event of its own. When she announced her latest album with Kelce present, it felt like a culmination of months of intertwined headlines, from stadium sightings to sideline kisses, turning their relationship into one of pop culture's most dissected love stories. In GQ's September 2025 issue, three-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce revealed how his romance with Grammy-winning singer Taylor Swift 'took the f–k off' in September 2023. 'Nothing I've ever done has been a controlled, organized process,' Kelce said. 'When I say it was so organic, we fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with. We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It just kind of took the f–k off.' Their story has been described as having all the makings of a Hollywood blockbuster — the romance of an all-American football star and a global pop icon. July 8, 2023 Travis Kelce attended one of Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour' concerts in the summer of 2023 with a plan to get the singer's attention. On the July 26, 2023, episode of New Heights, he explained that he made a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it and intended to give it to Swift at the concert. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like TV providers are furious: this gadget gives you access to all channels Techno Mag Learn More Undo Source: Getty Images 'I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings. So I was a little butt-hurt I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,' Kelce said. Aug. 2, 2023 During an interview with NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano, Kelce laughed as soon as Swift's name was mentioned. The reporter brought up his bracelet attempt from the concert. 'I said what I said,' Kelce replied. 'And I meant what I said when I said it.' He continued, 'You know, what? It is what it is. I'm not going to talk about my personal life. I know what you writers want to hear. And you want to hear more about that, and I'm not going to give you anything.' Sept. 21, 2023 On The Pat McAfee Show, Kelce revealed his invitation to Swift: 'I threw the ball in her court. I told her, I've seen you rock a stage in Arrowhead and you might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead. We'll see what happens in the near future.' Sept. 24, 2023 Source: Getty Images Swift made headlines when she attended the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium, sitting next to Kelce's mom, Donna Kelce. The Fox broadcast caught Swift cheering when Kelce scored a touchdown, appearing to shout, 'Let's f------ go!' and banging her hands on the glass in excitement. NFL commentators repeatedly mentioned the possible romance, with one saying, 'I mean, I think the secret's out.' Sept. 27, 2023 On New Heights, Kelce called Swift's appearance at the game 'awesome,' saying, 'Everybody was talking about her in a great light and on top of that, the day went perfect for Chiefs fans, of course.' He added, 'And then we just slid off in the getaway car at the end.' But he made it clear he would keep their relationship private: 'What's real is that it's my personal life and I want to respect both of our lives. So everything moving forward, I think me talking about sports and saying, 'All right now,' would have to be kind of where I keep it.' Oct. 6, 2023 During a press conference, Travis Kelce spoke about adjusting to the attention surrounding him and Swift. 'As all the attention comes, it feels like I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl and right now, even more on top of the world,' he told reporters. He added, 'You got a lot of people that care about Taylor for good reason. You just got to keep living and learning and enjoying the moments. At the end of the day, I've always been pretty good at compartmentalizing and being able to stay focused in this building.' That same day, Donna Kelce appeared on TODAY and shared how her life had changed since being seen with Swift at a Chiefs game. 'It truly feels like I'm in some kind of an alternate universe,' she said. 'It's just really, really strange, but it's fun. It's a great ride.' Source: Getty Images Oct. 14–15, 2023 On the Oct. 14 episode of Saturday Night Live, both Swift and Kelce made surprise cameos. Kelce appeared at the end of a sketch poking fun at the NFL's coverage of their rumored relationship. Swift briefly appeared to introduce the episode's musical guest, Ice Spice, with whom she had collaborated on a remix of 'Karma.' After the episode, the pair were photographed holding hands arriving at Nobu in midtown Manhattan, and again when leaving the restaurant. The following night, Oct. 15, they were seen holding hands outside Waverly Inn in New York City. Nov. 10, 2023 As Swift began the South American leg of her Eras Tour, Kelce traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to see her perform. During the concert, Swift altered the lyrics to 'Karma' to reference Kelce, singing: 'Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.' After the show, fans captured video of Swift running into Kelce's arms backstage and kissing him. Nov. 20, 2023 In an interview with WSJ. Magazine, Kelce recalled his July attempt to meet Swift at her Arrowhead concert and hinted that mutual acquaintances helped connect them. 'There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was in her corner (who said): Yo! Did you know he was coming? I had somebody playing Cupid,' he said. Source: Getty Images Kelce revealed their first date was in New York but declined to share details. 'When I met her in New York, we had already kind of been talking, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and, like, a conversation, and what goes from there will go from there,' he said. He added that his friends and family were just as invested in the budding romance as the public: 'Everybody around me telling me: Don't f--- this up! And me sitting here saying: Yeah — got it.' Kelce also praised Swift for her ability to live her life despite constant public attention. "The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she's just living, enjoying life. When she acts like that, I better not be the one acting all strange.' Dec. 6, 2023 Named Time's Person of the Year for 2023, Swift broke her silence about dating Travis Kelce. She revealed they started seeing each other after he 'adorably put me on blast' on the New Heights podcast. 'We started hanging out right after that,' she said. 'So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.' By the time she attended her first Chiefs game on Sept. 24, they were already together. 'We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date,' she said. Swift contrasted their openness with her prior relationship with Joe Alwyn. 'When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care. The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone. And we're just proud of each other.' April 19, 2024 Swift's YouTube Short promoting The Tortured Poets Department showed Kelce kissing her cheek. Other clips featured her in a University of Kansas shirt, frosting cinnamon rolls, playing pickleball, yachting with friends, and visiting Singapore's Gardens by the Bay with Kelce. June 23, 2024 Travis Kelce made a surprise cameo onstage during one of Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour' concerts at Wembley Stadium in London. During the June 23 show, Kelce, dressed in a black suit and top hat, appeared onstage alongside Swift and several dancers during her performance of 'I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.' Source: Getty Images The football pro joined the dancers to perform a pantomime routine that showed them trying to get Swift ready for the rest of her show. The crowd cheered as Kelce picked up Swift at one point and carried her around the stage. Sept. 11, 2024 When Swift won video of the year at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards for her song 'Fortnight' featuring Post Malone, she used her speech to thank her team, fans, and Travis Kelce. 'Something that I'll always remember is that when I would finish a take... I would always just hear someone like, cheering from across the studio where we were shooting it,' Swift said while recalling the music video shoot. 'And that one person was my boyfriend, Travis.' 'Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic,' she continued. 'So I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot, because I'll always remember that.' Feb. 6, 2025 A few days before the 2025 Super Bowl, Travis Kelce's father, Ed, did an interview with Today Australia where he shared his thoughts on how the couple will use their free time after the game. 'I think, you know, we get past the Super Bowl it's going to be a very good period of time for the two of them,' he said. 'Without the NFL season, without the 'Eras Tour.' Just them alone really connecting more and I think that can only be a good thing. " June 24, 2025 Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attended their first red carpet event together in June 2025 when they appeared at his Tight Ends & Friends concert at the Brooklyn Bowl Nashville concert hall. Travis Kelce's organization, Tight End University, which he founded with fellow athletes George and Greg Olsen, holds the annual event to bring together tight end players for a bonding experience. During the evening, Swift took the stage to strum her guitar and sing her 1989 hit song 'Shake It Off.' Fans captured videos of Swift performing for the crowd and receiving a roaring applause after. July 24, 2025 Source: Getty Images To cap off his NFL offseason, Travis Kelce shared a carousel of photos to his Instagram July 24, including multiple pictures of his vacations with Swift. The post marked the first time that he uploaded snaps of the couple to the social media platform. One photo showed him donning a "Captain" hat while she complimented him in a "First Mate" cap. In another picture, the couple matched in all black while enjoying a night out at dinner. The two also took a snowy trip with reporter Erin Andrews, her husband, Jarret Stoll, and sportscasters Steven Cundari and Charissa Thompson. Travis Kelce included more snaps of the pair spending time with friends and one of him and Swift playing hockey on an ice skating rink. "Had some adventures this offseason, kept it 100." Aug. 12, 2025 Travis Kelce opened up about his relationship with Taylor Swift and sharing the spotlight for the past two years in an interview with GQ. The star athlete, who is the magazine's September cover star, said about their romance, "I get to be the plus one. I get to go and be that fan. Because I am a fan." He added, "I'm a fan of the music. I'm a fan of art. And it's so cool that I get to experience her being that plus one for me on the football field. I feel that same enjoyment every time she comes to my shows." As for the attention the couple gets, Travis Kelce said, "You can't block that (attention) out. If someone says something that they don't like about you, you have to be able to understand how you are portraying yourself for them to say that." He further explained, "I'm a guy who doesn't want anyone to say anything negative about me. Some people don't give a f—. I'm someone who does care. I do want people to look at me like I'm doing good in the world. I'm influencing and being somebody that has done it the right way." He also revealed some traits that his girlfriend shares with his mom, complimenting both for their kindness, authenticity, and work ethic. Aug. 13, 2025 After teasing a special guest on the next episode of their podcast by simply sharing a silhouette of a woman, Travis and Jason Kelce waited a few hours before confirming Taylor Swift would make an appearance on their show. A clip was added to "New Heights'" social media accounts that showed Travis Kelce and Swift sitting side by side as she marveled, "We're about to do a f---ing podcast?!" Around the same time, a countdown also popped up on Swift's official website with the message, "EXPIRES AUGUST 12 AT 12:12 A.M" against an orange, sparkly background. Swifties immediately began to speculate on social media what the pop star had up her sleeve. As soon as the countdown expired, Swift and "New Heights" shared a snippet of her announcing her 12th album: "The Life of a Showgirl." "I wanted to show you something," she told Jason Kelce before unveiling a mint green briefcase. She continued, "This is my brand new album, 'The Life of a Showgirl,'" while the two brothers celebrated. The video blurred the album cover, leaving the reveal presumably for when the "New Heights" episode arrives on Aug. 13.

JioStar's Colors bets on shades of socially-rooted stories, reality shows
As the general entertainment category (GEC) grapples with audience fatigue and a shortage of fresh storytelling, JioStar's Colors is doubling down on a two-pronged strategy: socially rooted fiction and high-impact nonfiction. Known for portraying issues such as child marriage and transgender rights, the channel is also riding the popularity of reality hits such as 'Bigg Boss' and 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' to stay relevant across television and digital. It has also invested in homegrown intellectual property (IP) such as Laughter Chefs, Dance Deewane, Hunarbaaz, Kitchen Champion and Cricket Ka Ticket, among others. In a post-merger landscape with Disney's Star India, Colors is positioning itself not just as another GEC, but as a brand with broader appeal, aiming to cut across demographics while resisting the creative stagnation plaguing the category. According to data from television monitoring agency Barc (Broadcast Audience Research Council) for the 26 July-1 August week, Colors ranked ninth in the list of top 10 channels across categories in India. 'Colors occupies a unique position that is based on telling stories based on social issues or social truths that no other channel does. In that sense, the positioning has always been very different," said Alok Jain, one of the cluster heads for the entertainment business at JioStar. The channel that launched with Balika Vadhu, a show around child marriage in 2008, has since, touched upon themes such as transgender rights (Shakti—Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki), female foeticide (Doree), and having a child out of wedlock (Choti Sarrdaarni). Jain said Colors has attracted a relatively broader target audience compared to other GECs, by offering homegrown stories that speak of social realities and don't necessarily resonate with just men or women. In its non-fiction bouquet, Laughter Chefs has emerged as the number one non-fiction show in the comedy genre in the last six years within Pay Hindi GEC, and is currently also the top-ranked non-fiction show on air. For the past seven years, the top non-fiction show on television has belonged to Colors. In February 2024, Reliance Industries Ltd and The Walt Disney Co. joined forces to create a joint venture (JV) that combined the businesses of Reliance's associate company Viacom18 Media Pvt. Ltd and Disney's Star India. The JV brought together media assets across entertainment (television channels such as Colors, Star Plus, Star Gold) and sports (Star Sports and Sports18), besides content streaming on over-the-top video platforms JioCinema and Hotstar, reaching more than 750 million viewers across India. Jain does not see any overlaps between the GECs. 'Colors and Star Plus are very different brands and we want to nurture and grow them separately in their unique ways. Had they been similar, we would have been worried, but there aren't chances of cannibalization in that sense," he added. Several industry experts agree Colors has traditionally managed more balanced viewership than most of its competitors, thanks to the skew towards non-fiction and social reality-based programming. That said, like the GEC category in general, it is battling the challenge of innovation. Despite being on air for nearly two decades, most reality shows have failed to see significant growth in viewership and have witnessed budget cuts. Fiction shows, meanwhile, haven't managed the same impact as the older launches such as Balika Vadhu. 'Fiction on TV is either relying on generation leaps or simply adapting from other languages. There is an urgent need for fresh and original writing for things to change. Only the broadcasters are not at fault, everyone including the advertisers, needs to push for something new," said Partho Dasgupta, managing partner at Thoth Advisors and ex-chief executive officer at Barc India. Jain, on his part, continues to see hope in the linear television business considering it is the go-to medium for the masses. 'Television continues to be the largest medium in the Hindi heartland. There is a need for everyone, including the creative and advertising fraternity, to understand that stories cannot come only from the worlds around us but from across this large and diverse country," he said. '…This is an era of hyper attention and there are a lot more options for consumers. So, we need to be far more grounded to what the consumer wants and entertain them whenever, wherever, and on whatever medium they want," said Jain, describing the firm as a screen-agnostic one.

Meet the Only Indian Actor in Alien: Earth Who Worked at Tea Stall, Sang with Ilaiyaraaja and is Now Making Waves in Hollywood
Adarsh Gourav is the only Indian actor in Alien: Earth, now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar in India (August 13) after its U.S. debut on Hulu and FX (August 12). He plays 'Slightly,' a synthetic child navigating a dark, dystopian future, an emotionally layered role that critics are already praising. The performance marks a major milestone for the Jamshedpur-born actor-singer and places an Indian talent at the heart of the iconic Alien franchise. From Jamshedpur to the Alien universe Born in July 1994, Gourav grew up in Jamshedpur before moving to Mumbai at 13. He studied at Loyola School, Lilavatibai Podar, and Narsee Monjee College. His early life was rooted in music: nine years of Hindustani classical training, tabla lessons, and fronting indie bands like Steepsky and Oak Island. He performed on MTV Indies and recorded songs, jingles, and ads, building a music-first résumé long before mainstream stardom. Here's how he got his start in front of the camera At Ajivasan (Suresh Wadkar's academy), Padma Wadkar mentored Gourav and gave him multiple stage opportunities across Mumbai. During a 2007 Mumbai festival performance of Vande Mataram, he was noticed by Nazali Karamyoi of Raell Padamsee's company Ace, which led to acting auditions. According to The Times of India, in 2010, he made his screen debut in My Name Is Khan, playing the younger version of Shah Rukh Khan's character, a high-profile first role for a teenager. Music roots with Ilaiyaraaja and Sukhwinder Singh Before acting took center stage, Gourav shared platforms with Ilaiyaraaja and Sukhwinder Singh in 2007-08. He continued to record for films and campaigns, keeping his classical base while exploring contemporary styles. Those stage hours and studio sessions inform the vocal control and emotional precision visible in his screen work today. The White Tiger breakthrough and method grit After training at The Drama School Mumbai (on advice to pursue acting seriously), Gourav worked steadily in Mom, Rukh, Madly, Leila, and Die Trying. His breakout came with The White Tiger (2021). As Balram Halwai, he earned BAFTA and Independent Spirit Award nominations. For realism, he worked at a tea stall during prep. Post-White Tiger, Gourav appeared internationally (including Explorations with Meryl Streep and Kit Harington) and at home in Hostel Daze, Guns & Gulaabs, and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. With Alien: Earth on Disney+ Hotstar in India and Hulu/FX in the U.S., his portrayal of Slightly positions him as one of the most compelling South Asian actors in the global sci-fi genre.
