Outlander Blood of My Blood fans issue same complaint just three episodes in
*Warning: may contain spoilers for Outlander: Blood of My Blood*
Outlander: Blood of My Blood fans have issued the same complaint just three episodes in the brand new show.
Outlander fans are all eagerly awaiting the eighth and final season which is set to be released next year, concluding author Diana Gabaldon's impressive 11-year run. But fans are now tuning into the prequel, Outlander: Blood of My Blood with episodes dropping on MGM+ on Prime Video weekly.
Outlander fans are finally able to stream the prequel to the popular show which explores the relationship of Jamie Fraser's parents, Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie. Having premiered on August 9, Outlander: Blood of My Blood ventures into unexplored territory as it's not based on any book.
But with the third episode being released on Saturday, August 16, fans have all been issuing the same complaint. Prime Video writes about the episode: "Ellen hatches a new plan to protect herself and her family. Julia is forced to make an impossible choice."
However, taking to Reddit, some fans have been unimpressed so far, as they ask for more Brian and Ellen screen time. One person said: " Why are Brian & Ellen not having any interactions anymore? I loved the idea of them at first but I thought we'd see them sneaking off to meet each other. Their relationship just isn't developing at all."
Another wrote: "I crave more Brian and Ellen. The one plotline I'm worried about is the Murtagh-Brian relationship that will inevitably suffer when Murtagh will find out about Brian and Ellen. I'm curious how the whole thing will play out. We know that in the end, Brian and Murtagh still remained close, but the strain on their relationship will surely show at some point."
A third added: "Brian & Ellen went from 0-100 aye?! I'm agreeing now that a more gradual buildup might a been nice. Andddd it was a dream."
A fourth commented: "Then we move on to Ellen and Brian. Except there is no Ellen and Brian", adding: "My question is, what passed between them during the bridge scene?
"They made to believe she stayed for a long time, or was it that the road just took all her time? Did they hand-fast and lay together? Or only exchanged those words? I am so confused and upset that we don't have any development on this."
Another penned: "The pacing has been somewhat off since episode one, and I entirely dislike the Brian and Ellen situation as they have next to no screen time and I feel like I'm being kept out of the loop. I was actually angry that the first kiss we saw from them was a dream sequence."
However, some fans have praised the series so far as they are already coming up with potential theories for the remainder of the series as well as Outlander season eight. One person said: "I LOVED this episode. It was amazing. And that last scene when Julia opening the door of a clearly decorated room my heart sank because I knew what was coming.
"I'm more convinced than ever now that that baby's story will tie into season 8 somehow."
Another agreed: "Of course it will. It's the only thing that will make sense. Faith clearly didn't survive and Julia's child will know the Seaside song and pass it down to his/her own children/grandchildren."

Wednesday fans 'rumble' real villain in part two and it's not who you think
Wednesday season 2 fans are convinced they have worked out who the real villain is after a major clue *Warning: Contains spoilers for Wednesday season 2* Wednesday devotees are convinced they've cracked a massive "red herring" and are utterly convinced they've sussed out the 'real villain'. Following an agonising wait, Wednesday season 2 finally hit our screens this month, though in typical Netflix style, viewers will need to hang on a bit longer for part two following a jaw-dropping cliff-hanger. At the end of the opening instalment, audiences witnessed Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) morphing into the Hyde before brutally slaying his master Laurel Gates AKA Miss Thornhill (Christina Ricci). He subsequently lunged at Wednesday (Jenna Ortega), with viewers then seeing her hurled savagely through the window onto the pavement beneath, reports the Express. However, with Tyler now free, devotees are adamant they've identified the genuine antagonist - and it's not the Hyde. Flocking to Reddit, fans are buzzing about Isadora Capri (Billie Piper). One devotee remarked: "She's too eager to cultivate a connection with Weds and I don't buy her reason for being at the Asylum." Another theorised she might actually be Morticia's sibling, whilst one person reckoned she'll prove to be a "villain of some sort". A third fan penned: "She's definitely controlling things with her music." A fourth supporter speculated: "I think that Isadora Capri might be Tyler's master all along. Thornhill was just a pawn to a bigger setup. Tyler's mom was unlocked as a Hyde through music at the opera, right? "And Isadora is a musician where she can manipulate her surroundings with music and Shockwaves. She unlocked Tyler's and let thornhill play with him and exact her revenge while she put together a bigger game." The second part of the trailer has certainly left fans on tenterhooks, with every scene being analysed as viewers try to decipher what will unfold. However, they'll have to hold their breath until 3 September. On Reddit, one fan speculated about Isadora: "Her conversation in the first episode with Wednesday, and how she spoke about Prokofiev, a famous musician who was also a chess master, indirectly hints at her planning and moving the pieces." Yet, some believe that Isadora, along with Tyler, might just be a "red herring", and the real villain is still lurking in the shadows. But fans will have to wait a few more weeks to find out.

Ballard review: Maggie Q stars in brilliant Bosch spin-off
Maggie Q brings Michael Connelly's beloved detective Renée Ballard to life in a brilliant series that can be streamed on Prime Video. Spin-offs rarely hit the mark, but Ballard picks up where Bosch left off and adds its own look at the crime of Los Angeles as the protagnoist leads a cold case unit. Advertisement The 10 episodes are thrilling from start to finish. Ballard has been moved off the homicide unit after she was assaulted by a male colleague, but she refuses to let her career trail off. Leading a team of volunteers, the detective is thurst into the centre of a politician's quest to find justice for his sister's murder. Along the way there are plenty of twists and turns, and the team ends up picking up other unsolved crimes. Thomas Laffont (John Carroll Lynch), Ballard's former partner who has come out of retirement, is just as engaging as Maggie Q's Ballard. Advertisement The characters on the team, including reserve officer Ted Rawls (Michael Mosley) and overly enthusiastic volunteer Colleen Hatteras (Rebecca Field), also add a lot to the story. Fans of Michael Connelly's books will be unsurprised at how successful the first season of Ballard is, as his books about Harry Bosch, Renée Ballard, and the pair are all great reads. Bosch ran for seven seasons before three seasons of Bosch: Legacy, so Ballard has a lot to live up to, with no announcement yet on a second season of the show. However, that is likely to be only a matter of time as it has enjoyed positive reviews and high viewership. If you're into crime shows and thrillers, give Ballard a try.
